In short, it's more complete, more pleasant to watch, still as exhilarating and quick to play. A real achievement for the license.- Jeuxvideo.com

MLB The Show's 2021 vintage isn't a strike out, far from it. The title of Sony San Diego does not revolutionize its formula, but refines it in depth, from the more readable interface to the new very complete stadium editor, including the addition of the cross-platform and a perfect cloud backup. The heart of the game is still beating strong, namely a very faithful transcription of the major leagues by adding dynamism and variety in the realization to the clear and customizable gameplay.- Jeuxvideo.com

Borderlands 3 doesn’t take much risk and doesn’t evolve much either. It has more content, more loot and more options to customize your character, but that’s it. It’s still fun to play though, thanks to great action sequences.- Jeuxvideo.com

By offering this formula of two games in one, SEGA offers a great locomotive for the third film which will be released next December. True to itself, the excellent Sonic Generations has lost none of its brilliance, even if the new features are too light to be sufficiently striking in the minds. What Chao to find in the levels, rare new bonuses... we could have expected much more from a remaster. Fortunately, the part dedicated to Shadow is intended to be more ambitious, with a mini open world to explore and powers that boost the experience for several additional hours of play. Without being revolutionary, Sonic x Shadow Generations is a very good game, but which will, inevitably, have more impact on those who have never touched the original.- Jeuxvideo.com

The first tactical FPS for the PSVR, Firewall Zero Hour is a success. If the studio manages to regularly add some new content, which is too light at launch, the game can be a system seller for Sony's virtual reality headset.- Jeuxvideo.com

With absolutely sublime pixel art, lively and enjoyable gameplay all of its own as well as a dozen successful bosses and a nice replayability, it's hard to fault Eldest Souls. If you like demanding action games, you are going to be served. Maybe a little too much. To be choosy, we can say that the Fallen Flag studio is sometimes a little too happy on the difficulty.- Jeuxvideo.com

That's it, CI Games and HexWorks finally have the Souls-like they wanted to add to their portfolio. Making a clean slate of the past is never easy, but Lords of the Fallen has definitely risen to this second chance. Yet anchored in a very classic formula which could have been detrimental to it, Lords of the Fallen does not rest on the laurels of others and delivers some interesting ideas which set it apart from the competition. Despite everything, the title still has too many small flaws and frustrations to climb to the top of the rankings. That being said, we are convinced of the potential of the license, even if it will need more effort to assert itself and flourish. This is not quite the case yet, but the second (a sequel?) will perhaps be the good one, as the destiny of the franchise dictates.- Jeuxvideo.com

Magic the Gathering: Arena is a good free-to-play game, with enough content to feed any Magic lovers. It’s not as easy to play than many others trading cars games, but on the other hand, those games don’t have the same depth.- Jeuxvideo.com

If we had to sum up Star Wars Outlaws, it would be in two words: immersion and classic. It's simple, we are facing the most immersive Star Wars video game we have ever seen, with a living and credible universe that perfectly recalls the atmosphere of the original trilogy through a multitude of details. On the other hand, its classic but effective gameplay and open world compensate for their lack of originality with varied game sequences and the density of the activities offered. The result is an experience that looks like a good student, which favors substance over form by showing that it perfectly masters its subject through a structure that does not innovate. One thing is certain, is that Star Wars fans will enjoy this adventure made by fans for fans.- Jeuxvideo.com

With its endearing characters and effective humor, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the pleasant surprises of the end of the year, which is obviously aimed at a very large audience. Behind this careful writing, we feel a deep love on the part of the developers of Eidos Montreal for its marginalized space. And if the adventure is not as epic as we hoped, the journey is nonetheless pleasant with its moments of complicity and the many choices offered which reinforce the player's involvement. A truly attractive journey, in particular thanks to an efficient and fluid combat system which nevertheless shows its limits at the end of the game and against the bosses. Finally, it is more on its visual part that the title can divide. If we find on the one hand original environments and neat character models, we also note the presence of less convincing facial animations in places and sometimes less fine landscapes. It is nonetheless a gripping adventure alongside the galaxy's greatest magnificent losers that has plenty to please MCU fans.- Jeuxvideo.com

Beautiful to fall for, fun and nervous, The Ascent is a generous twin stick shooter, which evolves in a coherent world with neat lore. If the optimization of the game as the ergonomics of the navigation or the interface remain to be reviewed and can sometimes be frustrating, the whole is sufficiently solid on its shoot part as an RPG to occupy you for long hours, solo or with friends . A great way to get back on track for the small team of Neon Giant, whose game is available as soon as it is released on the Game Pass.- Jeuxvideo.com
