Yes, Tower of Fantasy is a title that has strong arguments to face Genshin Impact. If we find many common points between the two games such as anime aesthetics, the open world and freedom of movement, the title of Hotta Studio stands out for its nervous combat system and rich in possibilities. But with an advanced avatar creation, the latter puts less emphasis on his universe and his characters than his rival to focus on his combo mechanics, his builds and his multiplayer aspect. It remains to be seen whether this proposal will be enough to overshadow MiHoYo's game in the long term.

Rather complete and benefiting from a significant visual improvement, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been able to emancipate itself from its predecessor without denigrating it. While remaining faithful to the principles of the first episode, this sequel relies on immersive and spectacular ultra-long-distance spots. The developers have chosen a path that may not appeal to everyone, but in our opinion, these sequences provide additional variety. The free phases, between action and infiltration, are still present and the overall experience is very solid. CI Games is mastering its subject more and more and demonstrating it once again.

This Dark Souls Remastered targets people who played the original game on console, or the ones who never played it before. It’s still one of a kind game, but this remastered version is definitely too lazy.

Both remain the excellent action/adventure games they were at the time, still offering spectacular moments and more touching sequences, in the service of fast-paced experiences that are still savored with great pleasure. That being said, the performance boost offered by the PS5 remains quite anecdotal, and, unless you are an ultimate aficionado of the franchise and the frames per second are a grail to reach to play your favorite license, the investment remains dispensable, all the more so since the 4K / 30 FPS sometimes struggles to hold up. That being said, the performance mode does its job very well and ensures 60 fps in optimal conditions thanks to an effective upscaling technique. So, if you want to discover for the first time the adventures of Chloé Frazer and Nathan Drake, or if you want to play this license in a more fluid way, this collection remains pleasant enough to browse for you to consider acquiring it.

Just as recommendable as on mobile, the Switch version of Sky: Children of the Light gains in magic once the console is placed in the dock. You can enjoy the excellent art direction on the big screen and appreciate the joystick controls. The expanses of clouds as far as the eye can see impress and make you want to get lost in them. This free-to-play has not lost its luster and deserves your full attention, especially if, like us, you loved Journey.

There’s nog big changes in TESO Elsweyr, but it does has a nice little walk in the Khajiits’ homeland. The writing is neat and the characters are great, which will fullfil the lore addicts.

The only new exclusive for the Nintendo Switch at the start of the year, Princess Peach: Showtime takes on the pressure weighing on its shoulders with style and creativity. The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom multiplies roles of all kinds. Pastry chef, swordsman, skater but also superhero, she knows how to do it all and does it brilliantly despite the diversity of these activities. The varied gameplay above all serves a creative and ingenious production and staging of Good-Feel, the main qualities of the title. A very accessible adventure which clearly makes you want to see Peach more often in leading roles, whether on Nintendo Switch or not.

A refreshing concept, smart and well executed with a solid immersion and a deep progression feeling that let you forge your own story through evolution. Unfortunately, the game isn't for everyone and it can be frustrating, especially in the first hours, thanks to camera, interfaces, or punitive death system.

If F.I.S.T. : Forged In Shadow Torch offers a relatively slow first part, thereafter, the Metroidvania is full of ideas and continues to renew itself. Its gameplay, at the beginning screwed to the ground, constantly gains in depth and becomes more and more aerial, and its universe, alive and coherent, offers varied and inspired landscapes. Between a jazz club, a remote village in snow-capped mountains and the streets of a retro-futuristic dieselpunk town, the title of TiGames is a constant invitation to travel. In other words, we warmly recommend F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch which presents itself as the little surprise of this new school year.

A stunning action game, well optimized, greatly rythmed by a dynamic OST and by some of the best fighting scenes we've ever seen in a Platinum production. It's a shame that the ending missions aren't as interesting as it should, or that the platform sequences aren't a strength.

If you're looking for the best way to experience Beyond Good & Evil today, look no further. This 20th anniversary edition is indeed the ultimate version of the Ubisoft classic, whether in terms of technique or bonuses! The adventures of Jade and her friends have even aged surprisingly well, even booking in 2024 a dense, gripping, well-paced epic where the word “adventure” takes on its full meaning (exploration, action, racing, etc.). Afterwards, over the years, there are some things that are a little dated. Newcomers will, for example, be annoyed by some puzzles/hidden passages that are not always obvious. For the rest, even the strange new face of Double-H does not detract from the beauty of Hillys and the exciting conspiracy hidden there... A cult video game, that's for sure.

With a rework of the lighting system and the integration of Rin, the new character, Catherine Full Body is a great way to rediscover the message and themes, atypical and original, brought by the developers of this puzzle-game.

After the sublime Gris, Nomada Studio is back with an action-adventure game that, under its appearance of an ecological fable with a young woman and her wolf, actually has a much heavier message. And we liked the way Neva took us by surprise. The latest baby from the Spanish team also comes back with a superb artistic direction, where the nature full of details contrasts with the “emptiness” of certain passages, marked by a surrealism that echoes Gris… In Neva, Nomada also offers - for the first time - action-adventure phases and does more than well. The demons that Alba must face give rise to gripping action phases, well staged, where a certain tension reigns (without ever falling into an excessive challenge). A very beautiful adventure that we recommend.

What a climb! Without saying a word, Jusant manages to make us feel many things and that makes it a very good contemplative and poetic game. But you still have to not let yourself be disturbed by the few inaccuracies in gameplay and the lack of pressure... Despite some flashes and a welcome relaxing aspect, it doesn't mean that the climb of Jusant pleases everyone. But we quickly forgive its faults when the trip is worth the detour. Whether you want to gain height, reconnect with nature or relax in an exotic world, Jusant may be the game for you.

Telling Lies is a great investigation game that shines from its atmosphere and scenario, thanks to a really good acting performance. The player is constantly invited to rethink the plot, and discover new elements, but, on a more gameplay side, we're a bit disappointed by the user interfaces, not as cleaver as in Her Story.

Rich in a singular aura and delicious journeys, Solar Ash is home to a universe that must be patiently tamed to be fully appreciated; between the so comfortable walks there are some great difficulties to overcome. From top to bottom, the cosmic and complex regions built by Heart Machine make one want to be fully excavated. Too bad that each new panorama discovered shelters objectives which often fail to disorient us.

A Plague Tale: Innocence brings a really good balance between narrative design and game design. The duo, well written, explores a rich universe during 14 to 15 hours of infiltration, puzzzles and tense sequences.
