Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a little bubble of happiness in a genre - battle royale - that easily boils down to gun battles...The simple fact of having tasted it makes you want to see more. The result is a good game, which will undoubtedly become very good with the arrival of new challenges and the correction of small technical problems.- Jeuxvideo.com

Players have been waiting a long time for a rework of the first Suikoden to immerse themselves in comfortable conditions. This is now possible thanks to this compilation entirely translated into French and equipped with several welcome features. The graphic and sound optimization in HD does not, however, prevent the title from still displaying certain shortcomings in terms of ergonomics, such as the sluggish management of the inventory or the absence of markers that could have guided us in the quest for the 108 (or rather 216) stars.- Jeuxvideo.com

Pretty, complete, accessible and technical, fun and generous in content, Lost Ark is a success. While it will probably be necessary to checkout if you want to invest in the very high level of the game quickly, the economic model should not be too intrusive and you will be able to access the content of the game without paying a penny, even if naturally this will take more time. All that remains is to see if the game will find its audience in the West and if the content will be regularly expanded to maintain players over time. As it is, you already have many hours of free play in prospect.- Jeuxvideo.com

Void Bastards is more than just a beautiful game, it also has a smart mix of rogue-lite and shooter. It’s a funny little game offering many tactical choices but it doesn’t go much further, and soon becomes repetitive.- Jeuxvideo.com

After a complicated first approach, Black Myth Wukong opened its doors to us (literally) and we have to say that we would have been disappointed to miss out on its adventure. Supported by one of the most exhilarating gameplays of recent years, Game Science's game offers us a skillfully measured challenge that makes us want to discover more each time. Not so linear after all, the journey of the Predestined would have gained from being more concise and erasing its most extensive portions to focus on the essentials. In any case, for this grand premiere, the game honors its promise in terms of immersion, game system and entertainment, even if we regret the lack of rhythm, the redundancy of the level design and a few slight flaws. The creators of Black Myth Wukong have made their science speak: the formula is not perfect but the alchemy works!- Jeuxvideo.com

Dim the lights, turn up the volume and put out the candles. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II succeeds in its crazy bet of being the “next-gen” visual slap in the face so much hoped for, even if the traces left by its hand bear the marks of the 100% narrative game of 2017 with simplistic gameplay and online exploration RIGHT. More condensed, more brutal too, the creation of Ninja Theory ultimately changes little from the original formula but strengthens all its cogs to the point of making it a beautiful war machine. If you are a Game Pass subscriber, give it a try, you should have a great time.- Jeuxvideo.com

Yooka-Laylee finally succeeds in bringing the platformer to the next level. With an original structure, made of puzzle and reverse narration, this new episode brings a fresh OST and some great ideas, while being sometimes too difficult or unprecise. A really good game for nostalgics and newcommers.- Jeuxvideo.com

For its first attempt, Ember Lab makes quite simply a master stroke. By delivering an ideally successful action-adventure game on all fronts, the studio, however neophyte, is not content to "just" perfectly fulfill the specifications of an excellent production. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a delicious breath of fresh air, which marvelously combines the grace of a sumptuous animated film and the game design intelligence of an ingenious video game, with multiple inspirations. As for Ember Lab, faced with so much mastery of their subject for a first production, it is advisable to take our hat off to them and already wait firmly for their next creation.- Jeuxvideo.com

The player also has the possibility of settling the challenge at his convenience and at any time. Another very good point that allows you to appreciate in all circumstances the universe of Young Souls, which has been the subject of very special care despite a writing that is ultimately quite perfectible.- Jeuxvideo.com

Although a good part of the adventure is identical, Catherine Full Body is a real re-reading of the original game, whose contributions may displease hardcore fans, but which is a very good opportunity to immerse yourself in an atypical experience and themes too rarely addressed in our medium.- Jeuxvideo.com

The 20-year-old Final Fantasy VIII has been resurected by this Remastered with several really useful cheats. We appreciate the new 3D models but, once again, the 4/3 ratio, and some missing features that are standard on Zodiac Age, for example, feels a bit sad.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite these qualities, Three Hopes is nonetheless a Musô with inherent flaws in this kind of game, such as a certain repetitiveness in the gameplay which will put some people off. As for the technique, if the graphics are simple, the framerate manages to remain stable as a whole, even if it happens to have slowdowns. A pleasant return to Fódlan in itself.- Jeuxvideo.com

While the 2021 edition had more than conquered us, the 2022 season of MLB The Show is still a success... but will not bring as much interest. Perfect gateway to baseball games for anyone who loves the sport and knows its rules, the Sony IE title will not make a regular in the saga jump out of his chair, and that's the only big downside: the lack of new game modes. For the rest, the modeling of the greatest bat and ball stars is impeccable, the lifespan striking with a gameplay always accessible to newcomers. But be careful, you still have to know the sport.- Jeuxvideo.com

No need to go overboard: Warzone 2.0 is an excellent sequel that builds on the very good foundations of its predecessor. Above all, this is not a simple update. The new battle royale opts for a more tactical and "realistic" approach to loot, playing perfectly in concert with other new features (proximity chat, areas with several circles, bases guarded by AI, etc.). As a result, the experience is renewed and still very effective, thanks to a great game engine and top-notch shooting sensations. Finally, we just have a few reservations about artificial intelligence, which should be reviewed, especially given its new importance in games, and for the famous DMZ mode, which still lacks a lot of challenges at the moment. For the rest, it's free and it's an excellent game. Let's go!- Jeuxvideo.com

The Last Campfire teaches us that a flame can be rekindled and that we should not be let down by difficulties encountered throughout our lives. What a pity that the technique does not always follow… without these little clashes, The Last Campfire would come close to perfection in its category.- Jeuxvideo.com

Like a Dragon: Ishin! provides the show and offers fans of the "Yakuza" saga an epic feudal epic at will. This remake in no way distorts the original 2014 experience, but modernizes the visuals and gameplay enough to make the adventure memorable a decade later. Ishin! is not perfect, far from it, and has some shortcomings, especially technical. However, the pleasure of playing a “Yakuza” game is there, and that is the main thing.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Reimagined, forget the laborious epic of the original Dragon Quest VII on PS1. More beautiful than ever with its unique aesthetic, the game offers a much more enjoyable, condensed adventure thanks to its numerous accessibility and difficulty options. In this customizable experience, combat gains depth through the richness of dual vocations, allowing for combinations that are as improbable as they are powerful. However, in addition to some flaws from the original game that are still present, this modernized version sometimes pushes the accessibility features too far, making the adventure too easy at times. But make no mistake: Dragon Quest VII Reimagined elevates a great RPG to new heights and will be a landmark title in the category of ambitious remakes.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Fire Emblem Engage, the Nintendo Switch offers itself a first quality exclusivity at the start of 2023. Like Three Houses, the fights are always fluid and accessible, and even benefit from spectacular animations which reinforce the pleasure of play. also in depth thanks to the Emblem Fusion mechanic which offers tools to approach situations with intelligence. Beyond the quality of the design of its friendly characters, the title also shines with its successful graphic rendering for the Nintendo Switch, even if we note sometimes poor environments and a static staging. Finally, it is more by its not always practical menus and its classic story and more interventionist than Three Houses that the experience is a little fishing. Not enough to sulk the pleasure of this new Fire Emblem which remains an excellent way to start the year controller in hand.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Bayonetta Origins, Platinum Games is stepping out of its comfort zone to offer a more relaxed experience, and it's succeeded. Thanks to its sublime colorful art direction, Cereza's first adventure draws inspiration from storybooks to deliver a visual rendering that retains its charm until the end. Controller in hand, the title takes up elements of Bayonetta 3 by making us control two characters simultaneously for an approach as original as it is confusing at first glance. Finally, it is especially by its well-paced progression that the experience captivates the player, alternating fights and puzzles with great fluidity, even if we tend to see the structure repeating itself at the end of the game. For all these reasons, Bayonetta Origins is a friendly and charming adventure that takes pride of place among the Nintendo Switch exclusives.- Jeuxvideo.com

It's a big yes and a very beautiful candle blown out by Kylotonn. If it does not upset the regulars, WRC 10 manages to advance all of its game modes with small nice touches, such as tire allocation management, new career roles or the livery editor. . Anniversary Mode galvanizes content and lifespan via new, delightfully old-school layouts, to make the title the most complete in the license. We take real pleasure in terms of racing sensations and a total change of scenery on some specials, despite the recurring lack of staging and some technical flaws (tearing, cliping ...). But that is not the important thing: WRC 10 ends a decade at the top of the slope masterfully climbed by Kylotonn in recent seasons, and we hope that the French studio will succeed in closing its commitment to the world rally championship in the best possible way next season.- Jeuxvideo.com

True, in the collective subconscious, Halo has always been a first person shootout set in large environments. But Infinite finally delivers a vision of what Master Chief can give inside a universe that lives up to its reputation. As well as bearing little in the way of his tumultuous development, the game manages to make John-117 so fun to play that it's hard to let go of the pad once the campaign begins. Whether during confrontation or in the exploration phases, the title of 343 Industries is appealing. However, once the campaign is over, we can only regret the absence of different biomes and the scarcity of truly epic sequences. Elements which have nevertheless been the hallmark of the series for twenty years! In short, we gain in freedom of action what we lose in spectacle. With such successful main mechanics, we would have liked an even more ambitious campaign, period.- Jeuxvideo.com
