Kratos slices, cuts, but above all strikes in the heart of the player. By turns fierce, contemplative, moving and funny, God of War redefines the eponymous series without refuting its past to which it is intimately linked by its history.

Yes, we dare to go for 20 (100)! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is quite simply a unique experience that truly reaffirms the term "adventure game." Never has a game offered the player such a sense of freedom, constantly renewing the experience. The environments are magnificent, the dungeons are ingenious, and you can't help but enjoy the journey! There's no doubt about it: it's already a must-play, and the hours of gameplay that await you in a gigantic world full of content will remain in your memories for life!

Silksong isn't the revolution of a decade like Breath of the Wild or possibly GTA 6. Its difficulty and universe make it a game still reserved for an audience that loves a demanding experience despite a notable effort in its accessibility. Still, in its category, it's a king who has by no means lost his crown. The title oozes the love of its developers from every pore of its skin. In addition to being undisputed in its field, Silksong is an example for all. An example that shows what can be delivered with time and love. Like a caterpillar, the developers of Team Cherry isolated themselves in their cocoon. And for 7 years, they were able to create a video game in the image of silk: light, soft, strong, which will undoubtedly stand the test of time.

If this update also offers nice game comfort options, the adventure remains similar to what we knew until then, for lack of new content. Trust us, you'll love experiencing the prophetic end of the world in God of War Ragnarok. This new episode contains a moving, epic, generous and extremely dense epic. Santa Monica does at least very well in every aspect of its game and promises to make you feel a string of emotions, enough to brush aside its few weaknesses. And then if the sensations in terms of gameplay are not upset by drastic changes, they remain exceptional and are filled with very beautiful additions. If you thought that the Nordic saga would have nothing new to offer, the adventure of Ragnarok quickly shows you the opposite.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a new masterpiece that makes Breath of the Wild, one of the best games of all time, look like a mess. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, it is certainly no longer a "revolution," but it perfects the player experience in an epic dimension that is unparalleled. The feeling of freedom, the impression of living your own adventure without constraints, these are the great strengths of a game with an absolutely exceptional lifespan. Two years later, Death Stranding remains a masterpiece. Undoubtedly always so divisive, the last born of Kojima Productions offers a unique gaming experience, transfigured by the capacities of a PlayStation 5 allowing him to give everything he has in the belly, to the point of pouring into bulimia new unpublished content. Admittedly, not all are equal, but the experience offered by this Director's Cut is complete, can potentially suit more player profiles, can potentially appeal to those who had succumbed to this fantastic and exotic journey on PS4 and who will appreciate to (re) live new adventures with a Norman Reedus larger than life. Certainly a must have for anyone who owns a PS5 and wants to embark on a unique game that is landmark and still upsets us today.

Building on an already very good first episode, Horizon Forbidden West hits the stars, becoming a true culmination for the Guerrilla Games studio formula but also for the “classic” open world genre in general. Fascinating from start to finish, with a universe with sumptuous artistic direction, better written and directed, and more engaging from the point of view of combat and exploration, the title is almost irreproachable on everything that he undertakes, showing attention to detail at every moment. In addition, Horizon Forbidden West even has the luxury of being both excellent on PS5, PS4 Pro but also PS4 Fat, thanks to exemplary cross-generation work. We can only regret a final conclusion that was a little quickly dispatched, and a lack of major new features. Not enough to spoil the wonderful adventure that awaits in the prohibited West. Already very enthusiastic during my first preview of the game, I've fallen completely in love with Mewgenics. Edmund McMillen's new project (developed with Tyler Glaiel) embodies everything I've been hoping for in the roguelite genre, and even more so in the tactical RPG genre: colossal content, a combat system of unparalleled depth, and above all, a sense of discovery that never fades. On top of all that, the game is an exceptional generator of stories that can appeal to both seasoned gamers and newcomers alike. Of course, you have to appreciate the creator's distinctive art style and not be afraid of game overs. But if that excites you more than it intimidates you, then you'll be diving into one of the best games of the year. Already.

The result is a "definitive" version of the game from a technical point of view which offers a slightly finer rendering than on PS5 Pro, even in Ultra. On the other hand, it is rather at the level of keyboard/mouse controls that the experience remains largely better with the controller. With this new adventure, Bayonetta proves once again that she is the queen of beat'em up by offering battles that are still as exhilarating and spectacular as ever, which are sublimated here thanks to many new weapons and the mechanics of summoning demons. which changes the way of fighting. In addition to being a superb beat'em up, the title does not forget to offer a certain variety, both in its more open levels and in its game phases, in particular by making us play other characters like Viola and Joan. And then, the adventure is all the more pleasant to go through as it benefits from a high frame rate in combat, an epic staging, but also a more serious scenario which delivers a grandiose outcome. . In spring 2020, there was hope: that of seeing a crazy dream come true thanks to Final Fantasy VII Remake. This same hope, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth transforms it into a consecration. A gameplay of formidable efficiency here sublimated, a rhythm better managed despite some clumsiness, a staging which awakens in us a whole range of emotions and, above all, an adventure which, even if it overflows with love for the version original, shines for what it is and carries us away as much as in 1997, if not even more. With Rebirth, Final Fantasy has perhaps found the ideal formula to tell us a story, while leaving us free to experience it at our own pace. In addition to the incredible musical journey it offers us, this title shines with its phenomenal tracklist and the formidable efficiency of its game system. Accessible or demanding (your choice, depending on your mastery of the gameplay), Theatrhythm Final Bar Line risks keep you busy for a very long time, especially if you extend the experience by challenging other players online.

Driven by their passion for role-playing games, the young team at Sandfall Interactive has transformed this first attempt into a stroke of genius. With the tip of their brush, dipped in paint materialized thanks to the talent of their teams, the Montpellier studio has proven that a video game with a modest budget can overshadow the greatest RPGs. I had high expectations for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the adventure has met all my expectations, managing to constantly amaze me thanks to its universe and its gameplay and continually surprising me through its storyline. Few video games have moved me so much. There is a before and after Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and some of its scenes will never leave me. No, Sandfall Interactive's title is not a daub, it is a fresco as sublime as a Renoir painting.

Before calling it a masterpiece (the real challenge will be Rebirth), we can certainly acknowledge the remarkable achievement of Square Enix and Naoki Hamaguchi's team. Yes, storage space and the Game Key Card format might be an issue for some, but that shouldn't distract us from the final result: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade fits on the Nintendo Switch 2 and looks fantastic (if you don't scrutinize it too closely)! For the publisher, it's a successful gamble: the game is visually stunning (overall), it made compromises where necessary without compromising the experience, and, above all, it delivers the same feel and enjoyment as the original release. If you've never played it, there's no excuse now, as it's a must-have for the Nintendo Switch 2 library.

Shadow of the ErdTree is a video game in itself that carries with it all the qualities of the original title. It’s true, we can note some imperfections. The plot would have deserved a bit more spotlight. In the same way, a more readable map would not have been lacking. Negative points that are crushed by a mastered level design, a journey that constantly renews curiosity and always epic fights. If the Occult Tree of Shadow of the ErdTree is in the shadow of its namesake from Between the Earth, the DLC has everything to shine in the same spotlight as the original video game. Shadow of the ErdTree is much more than the additional content of Elden Ring: it is an exceptional adventure in its own right.

With its new open-world dimension, Elden Ring brilliantly fleshes out FromSoftware's already highly effective formula and offers Souls a spiritual sequel that is both ambitious and accessible. All the new features converge towards this last objective: the open world allows you to arm yourself more than ever with the epic and obligatory fights that the adventure reserves, without having the impression of walking around just to farm. And the best part is that it doesn't compromise the sense of accomplishment so important to the genre. Elden Ring is a complete, mysterious experience, where curiosity is tirelessly renewed by the feeling of discovering something for the first time. All with a sumptuous artistic direction, which makes you want to get lost, to explore. The title also welcomes new features that offer strategic choices in combat, without betraying their requirement. We only regret a slight lack of ambition for certain Legacy Dungeons, as well as the recycling of some assets and bosses. Overall, an exceptional title.

Metroid Dread is exceptional in every way, placing itself as one of the best episodes in a series that already has no shortage of nuggets! By mixing the phases of action and infiltration, the game developed by Mercury Studios constantly keeps the player in suspense. But beyond its structure and its exploration aspect, it is the fluidity of the gameplay that stuck us to the ceiling, with a Samus more agile and twirling than ever and a difficulty that forces us to juggle these many capacities in many situations. Whether you are a newbie or a fan of the series, Metroid Dread is a must-have for any Nintendo Switch owner.

For its first attempt, Ember Lab makes quite simply a master stroke. By delivering an ideally successful action-adventure game on all fronts, the studio, however neophyte, is not content to "just" perfectly fulfill the specifications of an excellent production. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a delicious breath of fresh air, which marvelously combines the grace of a sumptuous animated film and the game design intelligence of an ingenious video game, with multiple inspirations. As for Ember Lab, faced with so much mastery of their subject for a first production, it is advisable to take our hat off to them and already wait firmly for their next creation.
