On PS5 and Xbox Series X, FIFA 21 enjoys a healthy bump in graphical quality, with a Forstbite engine that's impressive as ever. But outside of this visual improvement, the game hasn't changed, and the same problems are still there.- JeuxActu

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale won't dethrone the Super Smash Bros. IP, but finally offers a great alternative, especially players looking for some crossover fighting games. The title proposes some good ideas such as its battle system mainly focused on combos. However, the fighting sequences lack the necessary dynamism.- JeuxActu

Halfway between Zelda and a Rogue-like, The Swords of Ditto has its own touch thanks to its great arty touch, its universe, its humor and a few interesting gameplay mechanics. On the other side, the technical side of things isn't very impressive, but patches could improve these issues.- JeuxActu

By listening to its community, Bohemia Interactive is selling us the most well-polished ArmA yet to this day, with numerous options for in-game content creation. With an exceptional graphics engine allowing a superb rendering and well evolved physics ArmaA imposes itself as the reference of infantry sims. With a very demanding gameplay, ArmA 3 claims its elitism and raises it as a dogma to face the competition. Quite unfriendly to the newbies, Arma can disappoint by its obvious lack of initial content, which should be vastly improved by the community through the content creator toolbox. Unique for its tough challenges hence the feeling of deep satisfaction when you complete a mission, ArmA 3 sets itself as the playground of elite gamers.- JeuxActu

Partisans 1941 is a nice Commandos-like that's pretty good as the atmosphere from the WWII is very good. on the other hand it feels a bit rushed when you look at Desperados III. Consider it if you're willing to close your eyes on some problems.- JeuxActu

If the content is getting lighter from the Wii U version, Super Mario maker 3DS is still a great game that challenges the player with a lot of stages, but we would have loved to be able to share our creations on internet.- JeuxActu

Mafia The Old Country was meant to revive the franchise after the failure of Mafia 3. Its strengths lie in a gripping story, charismatic characters, and a beautifully realized Sicilian setting. The cinematic presentation and soundtrack add real flair. But the gameplay falls flat: gunfights lack punch, stealth feels dated, knife duels repeat themselves, and stiff animations break immersion. The game also over-assists the player, undermining its own realism. In the end, it’s a visually stunning but mechanically outdated entry, worth it for the story but disappointing for anyone seeking engaging gameplay.- JeuxActu

While not perfect, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes offers a great and charming adventure. The spirit of the famous detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle remains intact, as the game proposes many improvements in terms of gameplay. With great puzzles to solve and interesting ideas regarding the way players can control the different characters, the Testament of Sherlock Holmes won't disappoint.- JeuxActu

Killzone: Shadow Fall is a very good tech demo for the PS4, but also an excellent FPS with nothing to be ashamed of in front of Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts in terms of gameplay and multiplayer experience. Sony's game does even better with an open gameplay, where the use of the combat drone was well thought out at start. Shadow Fall is maybe a bit less spectacular and fast-paced than Killzone 3 in it's solo mode, but it gained in open-mindness much to our enjoyment. The exploration is a new element to be reckoned with which is a good thing when you know you're going to spend hours staring at those marvelous graphics that set the tone for the story. Giving the player some choices, that's the mainstay of a game which keeps its promises in spite of a few polishing flaws. A game that offers a very good solo and multiplayer and should appeal to most gamers.- JeuxActu

Extraction integrates tactical and stealth elements into its co-op shooter gameplay and does a pretty good job of honoring the DNA of the Rainbow Six series. This is not its only quality, and the extraterrestrial threat is a new and welcoming setting, much better that the terrorists and zombies too often seen elsewhere.- JeuxActu

As a clever mix of the universe of LittleBigPlanet and the interesting gameplay of Modnation Racers, LittleBigPlanet Karting had pretty good bases to offer amazing races we can usually find in the Mario Kart IP. However, the lack of dynamism, especially in solo, makes the game a little bit less attractive. Hopefully, the multiplayer mode, with its community-based gameplay, offers enough challenges to spend a great time with friends, but not enough innovations to be one of a kind.- JeuxActu

It's no a surprise, after a successful Just Dance 2016 at all levels, Ubisoft fails with this Just Dance 2017 which is lack of new features. Worse, the playlist and the choreographies are really disappointing. Too serious, not enough fun.- JeuxActu

Canceled, postponed, stunned by the COVID crisis, then paralyzed by the war in Ukraine, STALKER 2 is, we can say, a miracle. However, despite this good news, and like all these Arlesiennes who arrive in pain after so many years, there are inevitably cracks, even fractures. And a few minutes are enough to see the handicaps that are dragging the GSC Game World title down. Technically first of all, STALKER 2 is lagging behind, with a 3D engine completely overtaken by events. Everything seems frozen, as if we were finding the STALKER of the 2007s, whether in its still life, its static NPCs or its creatures animated with a trowel. The artificial intelligence of the enemies is unfortunately not spared by a lack of know-how, with soldiers who are able to spot us from miles around at the slightest crack of a branch, but are unable to move properly. The open world is certainly gigantic and makes us experience the life of a true survivalist in wartime on a minefield of anomalies as painful as they are invisible, but the progression is marred by a slow, painful and above all unexciting pace. We tried to cling to this story of supernatural elements and a Skif at bay, but the countless bugs and the game system stiffened by this rigid handling and this mediocre interface will have finished off the little enthusiasm we had left. That said, if you are patient, conciliatory with a game whose development was not helped by extraordinary circumstances, and above all totally addicted to the great atomic-Soviet thrill, you might enjoy traveling in the shadow of Chernobyl…- JeuxActu

Sledgehammer Games is back after 4 years and they are coming back in great shape. Of course, the different multiplayer modes are still effective, but this year the single player campaign really makes the difference. It has more depth with interesting characters and a spectacular setting. We did not expect such a graphically beautiful game either.- JeuxActu

Without revolutionizing the shooter-looter genre in any way, Outriders does things efficiently and offers frenetic non-stop action that goes frankly well with co-op play. Too bad the game is repetitive and subject to technical instability, which spoils the game experience.- JeuxActu

Yes, Onimusha is an old game, and to be honest it shows a lot with fixed cameras and a very rigid gameplay. On the other hand it's still a game to be highly recommend if you haven't done it yet, and if you can cope with the PS2 era technical side of things.- JeuxActu

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is a bad name for a game which brings really nothing revolutionary. CyberConnect2 title sharpens its fighting recipe to make the battles even more dynamic and forces the player to not use his advantages too early. NSUNSR also brings with it the biggest roster in the series history. Alas, four-warriors confrontations are a little bit confusing because of a disastrous locking system and the Story mode is a deep disappointment.- JeuxActu

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is one of the most refreshing games since the Wii U has launched. It's hard to not get frustrated though by the lack of gamble from a gameplay point of view, by a certain lack of pace. And last but not least, it's a shame we have to look so much at the GamePad screen.- JeuxActu

Once again, Level-5 brings a very good title to the Nintendo 3DS with Fantasy Life. It maybe not the greatest RPG ever, but it's fair to say that there is a gamble there, an idea to make this game different, even with all those classic elements around. At the heart of this vision, the job system, which makes Fantasy Life so addictive. Unfortunately, the game is far too easy, too slow and not so interesting from time to time.- JeuxActu

Mix between a Walking Simulator and a slightly more gameplay-oriented production, Martha is Dead is a narrative adventure reminiscent of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for the psychiatric theme, What Remains of Edith Finch for the neat and engaging subject, and the many games horrifying to the gory scenes that we find everywhere. The story of Giulia and Martha is shocking, while the game mechanics with the camera will especially delight photography enthusiasts. A remarkable adventure!- JeuxActu

Project X Zone 2 is based on a huge amount of fan-service, and this part of the game is particularly successful. However, the conversations are far too long and too boring to maintain a certain tempo in our journey. Furthermore, this second episode is not tactical enough to be a really good T-RPG.- JeuxActu

Are Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl good remakes? The answer to this question depends on your affinity with the artistic direction of Chibi, as well as your expectations in terms of loyalty or, on the contrary, novelties. Here the cursor clearly leans towards fidelity, which seems to reserve the two games for a nostalgic audience. Newcomers might indeed be put off by some gameplay elements that have aged rather badly. Neither shameful nor indispensable, Sparkling and Perle Scintillante clearly fall into the category of remakes which "do the job" but do not go beyond.- JeuxActu
