Crossing Souls offers a solid experience with a good mix of action and adventure where we enjoyed to lead the 5 kids through their journey. If you like pixel art and 80's vibes, don't miss this game.

Violent, fast and visceral, Doom finally returns to its origins. The atmosphere and gameplay undoubtedly remind us of how powerful the saga was in the 90's.

If the content is getting lighter from the Wii U version, Super Mario maker 3DS is still a great game that challenges the player with a lot of stages, but we would have loved to be able to share our creations on internet.

With a very good Persona 4 Arena, the Ultimax follow-up was bound to be quite a hit too. The 2D graphics are still state of the art, the content is overflowing, and the few tune-ups made to the gameplay makes for a very immersive experience.

If you like adventure games Yesterday Origins is for you. Pendulo's game has very few drawbacks, the story is quite long and the humor still here. A very good game indeed.

With Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo brings back its iconic gorilla in a bold, fresh take on the 3D platformer. On paper, it has all the right ingredients for a hit: a core mechanic built around full-on destruction, fully destructible environments that encourage exploration, a fun set of transformations, a dash of RPG systems, and a colorful, modern visual style. At first, it works. The game makes a strong first impression, smashing everything in sight is instantly satisfying, and there’s real freedom in how you approach levels. But after a few hours, the cracks start to show. The level design, which is so important in a 3D platformer, runs out of steam pretty fast. The early zones feel fresh, but later areas tend to blur together, with lots of rocky, cave-like environments that feel repetitive. Honestly, it feels like you spend 80% of the game underground.Pacing is also a bit off. The game throws a ton of stuff at you (objectives, collectibles, side systems), but rarely takes the time to give them real meaning. You start to feel overwhelmed, and after a while, the gameplay loop gets a bit too repetitive. There's so much going on that it ends up feeling cluttered, and the experience loses some of its clarity. Still, don’t get us wrong, we had a good time. But after our preview, we were kind of expecting a masterpiece, maybe even a game-changer for 3D platformers. So yeah,we came back down to earth a bit.

Shady Part of Me looks very similar to games like Alice, Contrast, Inside, Limbo and Little Nightmares in terms of atmosphere, gameplay or artistic direction. Despite all these influences, the game has its own personality and manages to seduce us frankly.

With Days Gone, Sony Bend offers a worthy adventure and an inspiring hero to the player, and while many technical drawbacks still remain, the overall experience is truly enjoyable.

Cadence of Hyrule successfully mixes the gameplay from Crypt of the Necrodancer with the Zelda universe in a very nice game that only suffers from being quite short.

If you are not yet bored with open world and zombie games, then you have no reason to shun the PC version of Days Gone, which is more beautiful, more complete and less buggy than the PS4 version released in April 2019. And if the technical defaults have all been fixed, there are still some concerns regarding the repetitiveness of the adventure, which tends to drag out a bit too long.

Much easier and down on the graphical standpoint too, Poochy & Yoshi's Wooly World is still a very good platformer game, even if it's aimed at a younger audience hence the addition of Poochy, a good pup that helps the player around with combat and discovering secrets. The genuine game on Wii U is the one to go for, but if you only own the portable console, Poochy & Yoshi's Wooly World is still a safe bet.

It's difficult to resist the charms of HearthStone: Heroes of WarCraft, which stacks up qualities. Easily manageable by any gamer, highly addictive, and made with an artistic touch, this game fully uses the rich Warcraft universe and its fame. The price to pay is having to make due with classic card game gameplay, not a revolution in the card collecting game genre...and it can prove tiresome at some point if you don't go hunting for the rare cards. Strangely, the interface needs improvement, and some bugs still persists. But since the game is free and really fun, there is no reason to not give it a try.

Very poor on the technical side of things, Assassin's Creed Syndicate still impresses with its generous content and a few new features. We can't help but think that the IP has seen too much though.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider takes us deeper into exploration and deserves its name more than ever, to the detriment of pleasurably less rare but wild fights. If the game does not invent anything and draws much from the competition as in the formula of its predecessor, it is nonetheless the culmination of the splendid career of a Lara Croft who has become mature and definitely charming. A truly exotic adventure.

Gods & Kings finally brings back the concept of religion into the IP that the previous title had dropped. It also offers new interesting features such as espionage, some modifications regarding its combat system, and introduces new civilizations and three specific scenarios. A new content that doesn't change anything in terms of gameplay, only proposing features that could have been in the original game. If it doesn't bother you, then it will be easy for you to play Civilization for hours!

With The World Before, the Syberia saga returns to its best and makes us forget the disappointing Syberia 3. This time, the few technical shortcomings are no longer disabling and no longer spoil the pleasure of the game. We can therefore serenely enjoy the universe created by BenoƮt Sokal, the uchronic scenario, the superb artistic direction, voices fully dubbed in French, automatons, trams, European architecture and a whole host of other positive points of the game.

No surprise for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of Syberia The World Before, which continue the fine work done by Microids Studio Paris started last March with the release of the game on PC. The adaptation on new gen consoles is a great success, both visually and in terms of handling, with more pleasant controls on the joystick than with the keyboard-mouse duo.

Metroid Samus Returns is a very good remaster of the original GameBoy game with a load of new features that make the game more user-friendly. We only wish the hard mode would have been included in the game, and not exclusive to amiibo owners.

Charming, Stray comes to remind us that a little well-crafted indie game is sometimes better than a big AAA game. Especially when the title in question offers us to embody a tomcat immersed in a universe that is both post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk and populated by friendly androids.

Tetris Effect is back again, and it brings all the multiplayer modes along, which is a great add to the content. Sure it lacks coms between players, and you sometimes end up playing versus a bot, but overall, it's a great game, specially if you missed the original release two years ago.
