If Injustice 2 doesn't provide a quality of gameplay on par with KOF XIV, it's easily one of the best versus fighting games at the moment thanks to its very generous content that makes Street Fighter V blush in shame.

Mario + The Rabbids Kingdom Battle was a very good game, and Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope is a very good sequel! We instantly find our bearings, as well as the improbable but effective cross between the colorful world of Mario and the delirious one of the Rabbids. However, the formula has been sufficiently renewed so that no repetition effect is felt.

If AirMech Arena is not exactly bright and shiny at first, you need to admit that it works wonderfully well once you get the pad. The newcomers will appreciate the way you can learn MOBA basics, while the others will enjoy all the strategic part of the game. It's a shame that AI and too recurrent disconnections come to spoil this positive scene.

L.A Noire: The VR Case Files is clearly one of the best VR games of the year, making the police work even more immersive. A true VR game, and not one of the VR experiences for sure.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is undoubtedly a great remaster that respects the genuine game while providing enhanced visuals and still very good gameplay mechanics. A must-have for any platformer fan.

There's no doubt about it, F1 2012 wants to reach perfection as well as proposing a game that could fit players that were not born with a wheel in their hands. Even if it's difficult to talk about innovations, some small modifications are enough to boost the IP. Again, Codemasters proves it knows how to develop a great F1 racing game.

XCOM 2 is a worthy heir to the franchise with a few improvements to renew the gameplay, and a refreshing script which makes us join the resistance against alien invaders. A worthy investment indeed.

Let's be honest, we were pretty freaked out by the result obtained with Indiana Jones and the Circle of the Ancients, especially after the latest gameplay videos that were released. The issues identified with the AI and the stiff animations are there, but they manage to be hidden by the rest of the game, which are actually the heart of this adventure. Exploration, puzzles, story, narration, characters, atmosphere and even the fights somewhere, all of this takes over to offer us a gripping, captivating adventure that perfectly transcribes the Indy of the 80s. Even the view in the first video that was much criticized works well and it's a real pleasure to have gone through these 32 hours of play in the leather jacket of our coolest archaeologist on the planet. The game also shines with its technical aspect, with very rich graphics and a total change of scenery! We loved our adventure despite its flaws and we hope that a sequel will come to correct and strengthen a license that can try to do as well as Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

If Battlefield 4 has only a terrific campaign, Call of Duty Ghosts is far more uniform. It's not such a beautiful game but the campaign is really breathtaking, and you have a large panel of ways to play online. For those who want to play together, there is Extinction mode ; if you're addicted, you can have your daily dose on your mobile ; if you're a noob, you will have the possibility to play with and against bots. A great and complete experience.

Gears tactics is a pleasant surprise with its nicely tailored gameplay that reminds us of the XCOM series, and it's lore that's without a doubt from the Gears of War IP.

PREY is a great game that blends many influences such as System Shock, BioShock, Half-Life, Deus Ex and Dishonored, and it's only let down by the technical aspects. Maybe for PREY 2?

Keeping a winning formula is one thing, making it grow is another, and that's the undeniable strength of Sports Interactive with Football Manager. Yes indeed, this 2023 iteration does not reinvent the wheel, but in the other hand, it improves on certain aspects of the franchise, with an even greater immersion with the integration of the Champions League and other UEFA European Cups.

We were afraid that Forza Motorsport 6 would get eaten alive by Project CARS, but Turn 10's game offers a mighty resistance to Slightly mad's game thanks to it's state of the art drivatar system. Still we regret a lousy weather system, a destruction system that's too light and the dullness of the career mode.

Heavy Rain is the game which makes the most of this new Quantic Dream Collection, with better lights, the end of the blur effect and some clearly defined textures. Beyond Two Souls is more like a classic port of the PS3 version. Anyway, it should be recommended, as long as you don't already own both games.

Forza Horizon 4 seals the IP as the best arcade racer on the market, and even further, as a very good software to help players to improve their skill and get into true sim racing. With loads of content and a very rich environment the game only lets us down by its quite dull setting of Great Britain. We would have loved something bigger and more exotic.

Sledgehammer Games is back after 4 years and they are coming back in great shape. Of course, the different multiplayer modes are still effective, but this year the single player campaign really makes the difference. It has more depth with interesting characters and a spectacular setting. We did not expect such a graphically beautiful game either.

Devil May Cry 5 has some real flaws, but the awesome gameplay, underlined by its lovely graphics, and the fan-service that's displayed all around, makes it one of the great games of 2019. A must-have for beat'em all fans.

Reviewing a FIFA game is always a complicated exercise, the game has the habit of changing its gameplay with each new episode. At the time of this test, FIFA 23 gives us an enjoyable gaming experience. The new version of HyperMotion is a hit and this FIFA 23 is one of the best opuses of recent years.

Beyond the commercial gamble, Fire Emblem Fates is an excellent tactical-RPG, just like Fire Emblem Awakening was. This new game takes back everything that worked in the previous entry (relationships, support) and adds some very addictive elements, like the castle management or this three-headed story you'll want to explore completely.

We thought we would be astonished by Forza Motorsport 5, but Turn 10 only filled the requirement boxes forgetting that the goal was to make a car sim that could be a system seller. We won't say that game could have been made on Xbox 360 but we were expecting a revolution not just a nice looking game. On the bright side, we have to mention Drivatar which is born to be a classic in future games, and the gameplay, still at it's best in terms of precision. Turn 10 seems a bit sleepy on this title, not a crime but beware.

The fans of Fire Emblem can be reassured, Three Houses lives up to its name, and is undoubtedly one of the most well-rounded épisodes of the IP. The only let down are the ugly graphics due to the Switch's technical limitations.

There is no pleasure without some pain. There is no pain without a certain pleasure. These words spoken by the monk Henepola Gunaratana (94 years old this year) perfectly match what Returnal stands for. The game is far from free flaws, but it offers a thunderous spectacle, especially during boss battles, with these ballets of particles that light up the screen and make you want to be contemplative.

The deadliest bald man in the videogame universe is back in a new episode which strikes hard. Hitman Absolution doesn't revolutionize the roots of the series' concept, but it manages to rejuvenate the method. Beautiful and clearly cinematic, Io Interactive's game gives to the player a great amount of freedom despite some A.I flaws. Thanks to its impressive lifespan and its entertaining multiplayer mode, Hitman Absolution is a member of the end-of-year greatest games.

Coming out of nowhere for someone not addicted to MMORPG, Wildstar is the antithesis of The Elder Scrolls online. No big IP to sell it, but strong gameplay, a dynamic combat system, colorful graphics and massive content right at the launch. PvE, PvP, battlefields, housing: enough to please everybody and every skill level. Taken individually, those elements are nothing revolutionary, but we could argue that the game looks a bit classic. Overall the game offers a consistent and coherent package which is fun to play, for now and for a long time.

By giving us the keys to its game design office, Nintendo has achieved yet another great game with Super Mario Maker. Being able to create your own stages is great, while beating the ones made by other people can prove quite frustrating. Still a game to own of you like Nintendo and have an interest in level design.

Forza Horizon 2 is a total success, from a technical point of a view and from a content point a view. Playground Games has been aware of the demands of their fans and fixed what needed to be. Purists will enjoy all the parameters which were lacking in 2012. But the main quality of this episode is this open world offering of wonderful landscapes.

Pokémon Sun & Moon are a glorious try to change the ancient recipe of the Game Freak series. The game can be seen as more straightforward but this makes the narrative part and the screenplay only better. And Alola is a great new region to discover.
