It is unfortunate that my first experience with Dynasty Warriors was so disappointing, but as a newcomer the bland gameplay, bland environments and bland AI doesn’t make me want to come back.- Impulsegamer

Yooka-Laylee seems more targeted towards nostalgic adults than the next generation of young gamers. This makes sense, considering who was responsible for helping Yooka-Laylee become a reality, but it’s also a shame. The 3D platformer seems to have all-but-disappeared and I miss the playful, exploratory joy of these children’s games; I think the current generation is losing something due to their absence. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Yooka-Laylee, but I’m disappointed it chose to be a window into the past rather than a peek into the future.- Impulsegamer

In conclusion, G-Force doesn’t push the envelope in terms of technological advancement or new gaming innovations, however where it does succeed is through its gameplay.- Impulsegamer

Inayah: Life after Gods has all the makings of a great Metroidvania game, there are definitely areas where the game could be improved and frightened up. The UI could be a lot less clunky to use and Inayah could do with an off switch for her quips; But overall the artstyle and controls make this game well worth playing and I would be keen to try any other games that this studio produces.- Impulsegamer

If you're a fan of the original, you'll be over the moon with the sequel which contains a sturdy gaming engine, albeit easy at times but overall, the story, action and sheer speed of you flying through the air will keep most gamers entertained.- Impulsegamer

Deliver us Mars is a highly ambitious game but simply does not provide a payoff. I would only recommend playing it if you feel sentimental towards its predecessor, and even then I think currently only frustration will be waiting for you. You might say having read this that I should not have given the game the score I did, however I can see what they wanted to do with it, but also I can see what they failed to.- Impulsegamer

Mario Party Star Rush is definitely a sibling to the classic Wii game Mario Party and although you do miss out on some of the fun that you have on a big screen TV, it’s still a very entertaining event with some enjoyable mini-games and quirky characters. Whether you’re playing solo or with other players, it’s one of those games that you wouldn’t play all the time but when you do, you’ll have a blast as you play against both real and virtual characters.- Impulsegamer

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is a decent addition to the stable of Nintendo Switch games and of course from a Once Piece perspective. It’s a fun experience on the Nintendo Switch with lots of quests to embark on and is a relatively sturdy gaming system. The multiplayer component of the game could have been fleshed out more but nonetheless, it creates a fun game for fans of the One Piece series.- Impulsegamer

There seems to be actual strategy involved in this game and let me tell you that came out of left field for me. As you move forward and get better, even your team can be leveled up and get better at what they do. So if you are looking for a full racing experience you will find that Nascar Heat 3 fits what you are looking for. Have fun, play games… start your engines!- Impulsegamer

No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files is a charming and often chucklesome mystery, with a cast of endearing characters and some truly devious puzzles. Though narratively it may not be the best place for newcomers of the Somnium Files to start their journey into the mind-melding world of Kane Date and co. Puzzle and adventure fans will find a lot to love unravelling Dates’ devilish escape room, regardless.- Impulsegamer

Ultimately, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is a solid, compact experience that showcases strong fundamentals. Movement feels good, boss encounters are engaging, and the writing has a distinct voice. At the same time, its most promising mechanics are not explored deeply enough, and its metroidvania elements remain surface level. The procedural component adds replay value in theory, but does not meaningfully expand the scope. For anyone seeking a brief, well controlled action platformer with personality, it delivers. For those expecting a robust, sprawling metroidvania, it may feel underdeveloped. It is a good game that hints at something greater, even if it never fully reaches that potential.- Impulsegamer

The Casting of Frank Stone is a great introduction to the world of Dead by Daylight for newcomers and a love letter for long-term fans. Even if you’re only looking for a decent survival horror game, I recommend checking it out. It’s well-written, engaging, and tells a well-paced and creepy tale without overstaying its welcome.- Impulsegamer

Ultimately Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a fun twist on a familiar theme. Sure we have some hyper realistic games that allow you to be part of a criminal gang performing heists… but why play those when you can be a cute little Turnip working for some pickles firing your cactus and shaking down customers at Mr Stinky’s bank. We may not have Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit anymore… but when we can still have games like Turnip Boy Robs a Bank… I’d say variety in gaming is still alive and well. If you like your life of crime with a touch of humour and edibles… grab a copy of Turnip Boy Robs a Bank!- Impulsegamer

If you're looking for a game for the whole family to play or you're a lover of well made board games, than you really should investigate Boom Street for the Nintendo Wii. Not only do the developers pay homage to the board games of yesteryear but it has this real 21st century feel to it, especially with the smooth animation and fun characters.- Impulsegamer

Each play through is going to be different and it’s simple enough that it makes for a good pick up and play title. It also has one of the nicest notes I’ve seen on a game recently, when you go to quite it tells you “your game will be saved”… to often these days (especially with console ports etc) you can’t be too sure if you’re at a point that will be saved or if when you return you will find yourself some way back in your journey… so it’s a small but nice element.- Impulsegamer

In the end if you’ve got a hankering for some point and click adventuring, you could do worse… I’d suggest waiting till it’s on special as I don’t think it’s quite refined enough to make it worth paying full price… but it has a degree of charm.- Impulsegamer

Overall, if you are a fan of retro gaming, especially if you were a fan of Darius then this may well be just the right fix you have been looking for. In terms of buying the collection… that may be a bit trickier as you can choose either Arcade or Console… not both… well you can choose both but you will be buying two separate collections rather than one. So I would suggest if you had a preference or if you have experience I should say with one over the other… go with what you know. Or if you are feeling like throwing money around then by all means get both. A worth while trip down memory lane!- Impulsegamer
