If you can work around the resource supply issue… this is indeed a nice chill little game. It’s not overly deep or taxing… but it’s kind of nice watching your little town grow into a thriving city and the little fairy tale elements here or there just add another bit of charm to it all. It’s not terribly expensive but it’s not a huge game either so it’s about the right point (but if you’re not sure, just wait for a sale). Certainly worth a look if you want a city builder that’s a bit less stressful and has some mild fantasy elements.- Impulsegamer

If you have a reverence for the original Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or if you’ve never played the original and are simply looking for an excellent racing game, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is worth your time. The game doesn’t quite look or feel quite on par with modern racing games, but it has always been in a lane of its own and still offers an undeniable sense of speed and satisfaction in the gameplay. The remastered edition also includes all the additional DLC content and some new achievements, so there’s a decent value proposition here too. If you’re sitting on the fence, my advice is to get it while it’s hot. There’s an online fervour building for this game that you won’t want to miss.- Impulsegamer

Nobody Wants to Die is a gripping, thought-provoking cyberpunk thriller that’ll sink its claws into you from beginning to end. It may not be the most action-packed experience, but fans of a good slow-burn mystery, with a penchant for the philosophical will love it.- Impulsegamer

The Run is one of Raschid’s strongest FMV projects to date which delivers a tense, well‑acted survival thriller with sharp pacing, high production values and genuine emotional stakes. Fans of interactive storytelling and cinematic horror will find plenty to enjoy.- Impulsegamer

South of Midnight is a powerful and charming adventure about the healing power of empathy. Its well-written and thoughtful narrative is backed up by a beautiful art style and a tactile sense of place that makes it impossible not to be drawn into its fantastical, though often harrowing, world. Though the combat isn’t quite as slick as it could be, especially compared to the tight platforming and level design that encourages exploration at almost every turn, it’s still well worth the price of admission, especially considering it will be on Game Pass at launch. The only baffling omission from the package is the lack of New Game+ to mop up the floofs and journal entries you’ll inevitably miss. What I’m trying to say is that I already want an excuse to play through South of Midnight again, and that’s probably the highest praise I can give it.- Impulsegamer

The return of Hot Wheels has brought with it mixed results. The racing action is undeniably exciting and pulse-quickening, which correlates wonderfully with the nostalgia of using the real-life playsets, and the are plenty of models to collect that you’ll feel spoilt for choice. However, Turbocharged is weighed down by overfamiliarity, unambitious race modes, on-track frustrations, and a sense not enough has been done to evolve this sequel. On a base-level, Turbocharged is a pleasure to play, but Milestone should try to stop toying around with this franchise, it’s got the va-va-voom to be something special, but unfortunately Turbocharged isn’t quite it.- Impulsegamer

The games price tag is very gamer friendly, also I am sure because it is a short romp, but one that you will pull off the gaming shelf again and again to experience.- Impulsegamer

With the new updates in gameplay mechanics and the new DLC, Star Wars Outlaws is still quite possibly one of the best Star Wars games ever made. It’s a clear labour of love for everyone involved at Massive, and it’s obvious from the team shows a clear understanding of not only what makes for a great open-world adventure, but what makes the Star Wars universe so compelling and enduring, not the blasters and lightsabres, but loveable characters and heart.- Impulsegamer

This kind of came out of nowhere for me but it’s really right up my alley. A dystopian world with a well developed story… a splash of sci-fi and stunning visuals. A very tolerable amount of horror (don’t get me wrong… some of those moments if played in VR would probably require a pants change)… puzzles that are a challenge but manageable. Not to mention a moving soundtrack (even if I did have trouble making out what the words were in the song near the start of the game). Highly recommended for anyone who likes things a bit weird and thought provoking!- Impulsegamer

Remnant: From the Ashes is one of the only games I feel comfortable using the term ‘Soulsbourne’ in a positive manner. It takes all the crucial lessons learned from From Software’s legacy and brings them to it’s own game world to produce a unique third-person shooting experience that is exceptionally fun. Whether you’re playing on your own or with friends, the gameplay is always thrilling and the allure of the bizarre and fascinating universe begging to be explored is hard to resist. Remnant: From the Ashes is an easy recommend to pretty much everyone.- Impulsegamer

Overall, Hitman is what you make of it; if you want a fast play through, then chapter one isn’t going to keep you busy for long. However, if you’re curious or meticulous by nature and want to carry out and experience different techniques to assassinate various targets, then you will get a decent amount of playtime from the tutorials and the first mission alone.- Impulsegamer

Ubisoft have definitely hit a home run with their Wii U exclusive, ZombiU that provides more scares than Resident Evil and some great use of the GamePad for this console. Add in decent gameplay and make sure your doors are locked because the realism of these zombies is quite unparalleled. It's a well designed game from start to finish.- Impulsegamer

Although a bit light on main missions, the amount of new content on offer here makes The Tengu’s Disciple a must for anyone who enjoyed the base game. The new weapon is a blast to use and the new difficulty ensures that those players who had capped out all of their gear and explored all regions fully will now have an incentive to play through not just the new content but also previous missions as well. Hopefully Team Ninja continue to support Nioh 2 with more content that is as high a quality as this is, and, going off of their past record, I feel confident in saying that I think that they will knock it out of the park… Let’s just hope that the wait is nowhere near as long between releases this time. Nioh 2 is already one of the best games of the year and this first DLC pack just serves to cement it in that position.- Impulsegamer

Overall though, it’s been a lot of fun diving back into the Arthurian legend and this darker take on it. It’s a fun game with a decent amount of polish to it. Grab it if you love Arthurian mythology or just decent turn based RPGs.- Impulsegamer

Overall I was very happy with it. My last Warhammer experience was with Eternal Crusade which really didn’t hit the spot for me… so Dawn Of War 3 is a pleasant scratch to that itch for some space melodrama. As mentioned, if you are a long time fan, don’t expect to get the same game you’ve played before… or even a mix of the two, it would seem they have taken a slightly different approach. On the other hand if you like a bit of RTS action, some fun storytelling, it’s a great bit of fun and visually quite pretty (epic opening movie especially). If in doubt, wait for a good sale… but there’s a lot of fun to be had here.- Impulsegamer

As a whole, Bounty of Blood is well worth the time and cost because it really is an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this DLC and look forward to what else Gearbox has up their sleeves. It’s nice to see they were able to get this game back on course after putting ourselves through that painful main campaign.- Impulsegamer

Overall Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers is a solid re-release offering more than enough gameplay and netcode refinement to keep a Fighting game enthusiast sated. With the practice and Player vs CPU mode, this should offer an entry point for “Newcomers” as well. The only real gripe is the price at £16.75. This is on the higher end for a re-release but hopefully this does not discourage people from buying and trying out this game.- Impulsegamer
