Ultimately… if you like the Tell Tale style choose your own adventure games and don’t mind a theme of music/singing/classical mythology in a modern world… then grab a copy. If you are a huge musical theatre fan then, no question… grab a copy. Ultimately this is a horror game that I almost don’t mind playing… that is to say there are certainly horror elements (it’s not fun trying to escape a spectre), but there’s also a compelling story and a quite well set out world to explore. There are enough moments of exploration without direct terror to give you a chance to breathe… but then you are subjected to nightmare material again. If you like horror games then this is definitely worth a look.- Impulsegamer

Kill Knight is a magnificent arcade game. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it perfectly puts mechanics from other famous and successful action games next to each other to create a unique and satisfying gameplay loop. This is one of the few games out there that needs your 100% attention while you’re playing it and makes your time fly! With difficulty modifiers, in-game challenges, and quite a few weapons and items to unlock, Kill Knight is also a title with high replayability and a dream come true for arcade shooter fans.- Impulsegamer

Overall I was very happy with it. My last Warhammer experience was with Eternal Crusade which really didn’t hit the spot for me… so Dawn Of War 3 is a pleasant scratch to that itch for some space melodrama. As mentioned, if you are a long time fan, don’t expect to get the same game you’ve played before… or even a mix of the two, it would seem they have taken a slightly different approach. On the other hand if you like a bit of RTS action, some fun storytelling, it’s a great bit of fun and visually quite pretty (epic opening movie especially). If in doubt, wait for a good sale… but there’s a lot of fun to be had here.- Impulsegamer

Contra: Operation Galuga is the perfect follow-up to Rogue Corps. That is to say, it’s an actual Contra game that’s worth your time and money. It may not be the best game in the series, but it’s certainly up there with the original Contra and WayForward’s own Contra 4. If you have a hankering for some running and gunning on the go. In the end, Doom is a worthy successor to the original and although there was mixed reviews of Doom 3 way back in 2004, id Software should be praised on not only paying homage to the original but successfully rebooting the franchise on high-end consoles, the PC and now the Nintendo Switch. Sure, it’s a little old school at times but that was also the beauty of the original and if you’re looking for a fast paced first person shooter then Doom is the game for you. Yes, the game is quite linear but there’s plenty of secrets to be found which definitely gives you incentive to either explore all the levels totally or play the game again, so Knights of Hell beware!- Impulsegamer

Playing as a lower level character is almost even more fun than starting out as the King, I mean sure, it's good to be king….but it's nice to see the designers of the game took not only their fan base into consideration with this one…no even someone new to this type of gaming would do well to have this as their first experience. The overall price of Washington is arguably pretty high, but it can be had in bundle packs (which is probably the best way to go to add a few states). Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a fantastic spin-off and a great Epilogue to Infinite Wealth. The decision to put Majima in the captain’s chair is inspired and has allowed the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku to create one of the most unique and off-the-will games in the long-running series. Echoes Of The End does have a lot of good points. Visually it does not disappoint, the magic can be fun to wield, and the puzzles add a nice little change of pace. The combat is generally enjoyable enough, if a little awkward, especially targeting magic abilities with camera angles in the midst of battle. If you can put up with its little quirks and occasional glitches (I once seemed to manage to get myself stuck inside the landscape and was unable to move or even see the world properly), it does offer a nice little bit of fantasy storytelling and might be worth your while. If you are easily frustrated by games that sometimes seem to work against you, maybe give it a miss.- Impulsegamer

The story is gripping, the combat is exhilarating, the horror elements are genuinely horrifying and the fear that comes with furtively entering a room and checking inanimate objects for signs of life is a sensation that’s hard to replicate and even harder to maintain throughout a game’s length. Do yourself a favour and take a chance on Prey if mind bending FPS horror is your bag… Lord knows it needs the support and I for one would love to see the franchise move from strength to strength with a follow up installment.- Impulsegamer

It’s not the longest experience but it’s also not that pricey sitting at about $5.00 at the time of writing (well a little less but that’s because of a Steam discount). Steam tells me I only spent about 35mins in the game… there may well be some other things you can do, but to get from start to finish it can be done in around 35mins… so let that factor into your purchase decision. I would imagine once all the chapters have been released there will be a bundle that can be purchased to have everything accessible and this would likely be the best option. I will say though that the atmosphere and overall feel of the experience was great, for someone who doesn’t normally “do” horror games, there was enough story and meaning to what was going on to make me willing to go back sometime… maybe not for a little while, it is still very creepy and I don’t feel like being creeped out right now thank you very much! Higher end creepiness has certainly found it’s way to the VR world.- Impulsegamer

Overall, it’s a visually striking game and I was quite mesmerized by the world you get to play in. Because the story really didn’t grab me I wasn’t super fussed about the disparity in the music options and instead took it as a chance to enjoy some tracks I am familiar with along with possibly finding some new artists to do a deep dive into later (which may be somewhat the intent of the variety on offer). At the core, Resident Evil 3 remake is a good game. It plays smoothly and is immensely entertaining. Aside from the fact that the game is sorely lacking in content compared to the original or even the previous Resident Evil 2 remake, I still advise fans of the games, especially Resident Evil 3, to try it out as its quite a refreshing take on the original and feels close enough to home. If you aren’t a Resident Evil fan, however, I advise you to stay away and save the 60 dollars. If you’d like a more modern introduction to the series, I’d recommend the objectively better Resident Evil 2 remake. All in all, I had fun with my playthrough of the game, which is what matters.- Impulsegamer

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II 2022 is a fan’s nerdgasm, all your favourites with a couple of new talented cast members duking it out against the titular villains of the original franchise trio once again. The game delivers where it counts and I can only find minimal things to fault it on. One additional gripe I had was with the force feedback itself, I’ll have to look into if the sensitivity for it can be toggled or customised, because often it felt too strong. Like it required more of a pull of the trigger than it felt would be necessary, that might be trying to simulate the real thing but at times it felt imbalanced. Another minor gripe to be sure.- Impulsegamer

The Banner Saga is a highly worthwhile addition to any Switch library. It is incredibly well suited to the portability of the console. Combat is addictive, at times brutal (There are 3 difficulty levels for people struggling or masochists) but always highly playable. Couple this with a well told story with proper choices that can reward and punish you in equal measure and you have a game that is completely absorbing and hard to put down. I eagerly anticipate the following two volumes.- Impulsegamer

Overall, I think it’s a game worth checking out. It has its glitches and some plot-holes (such as needing zero motivation to kill innocent people with monsters and zombies), but if strategy games are your thing, it’s a welcome challenge. Ninja Pizza Girl will tug on your emotions as it delivers a strong powerful message about adversity and positivity. It may be a simple and short game but it will leave you wanting to replay each level to see if you can beat your existing times, grab more collectables and find alternative paths to finish each level.- Impulsegamer

Would I recommend Killer Frequency? Yep… even if you aren’t really a horror fan (like me)… this isn’t really the adrenaline pumping stuff… it’s far more the “horror comedy” style and those semi cartoon style visuals do help take some of the edge off the tension. It’s not a bad price but replay value isn’t super high (unless you want to mess with the callers and find out what their fate is like if you choose different options). A fun game with an interesting style, grab it if you like your puzzle solving with some retro radio vibes.- Impulsegamer

Drakheir could have easily been a gimmicky showcase for VR hand tracking. Instead, it demonstrates thoughtful design and clever implementation. It makes me yearn for a Dr. Strange VR game—we had Iron Man; imagine opening portals by simply tracing the circle! Drakheir proves the potential of hand tracking and does it exceptionally well. It’s fun, reasonably priced, and lets you live out your magical fantasies.- Impulsegamer

The Dark Knight is working with partners more in this series than we might be used to… but it works well and shows that even the strongest character occasionally needs help from others. I can see heartache on the horizon and a potential avoidance of that heartache… but with Telltale I don’t want to count my penguin eggs before they’re hatched, so I will just wait, impatiently, for the next episode and I will hope that I’ve made the right choices up to that point and that my final choices don’t hurt the ones I love. So for those, like me, who are now caught up in the story… just remember the next episode will be via the same Bat channel and keep an eye for the Bat symbol for release date.- Impulsegamer

Persona 5 Tactica beautifully translates the mechanics of the game it spun off from into the strategy genre – wrapped up in an art style that doesn’t support the interesting story it’s trying to tell, but does capture the charm of its characters better than ever.- Impulsegamer

The 3DS version doesn’t really add that much to the franchise but the unique control mechanics and games does make for an enjoyable time, even though some of the mini-games fail. So although WarioWare Gold doesn’t get a gold medal on this occasion, it still deserves a solid bronze as it’s a great homage to Nintendo.- Impulsegamer

Mega Man 11 is both the most accessible entry in the franchise to date and the most demanding, due to the difficulty options and challenge modes. The Blue Bomber makes good on his return with classic platforming and skirmishes with rogue robots augmented by the addition of the Double Gear System, affecting both how you approach the game and how the boss battles unfold by allowing for different forms throughout.- Impulsegamer

s a complete package, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a must-buy for anyone with even the slightest interest in the fighting genre; from shaky beginnings to the behemoth it’s become now, this look back into the series’ storied 2D past treats the franchise with the reverence that it deserves.- Impulsegamer

Duodecim is a worthy prequel to FF:D. It improves on FF:D and still keeps rewarding Final Fantasy fans allowing them to reenter the Final Fantasy universe once more. Even though the story itself is still manufactured, it is an improvement upon the original. The depth of the game allows gamers to get lost within, but it is questionable if the story will keep them motivated.- Impulsegamer
