FIFA 23 represents the evolution of a path that began with FIFA 22, that of the implementation of the new Hypermotion 2 technology, an addition that serves the title to modify the rhythm of the matches, moderately improving what has been exposed so far. It is not a revolution, but it ends up bringing more novelties than its predecessor.

Soulstice is a textbook hack & slash that shows a lack of risk and attachment to certain design patterns that do more good than harm. Its combat system, interesting at base, is displaced by a plot and a progression system that have more prominence than they should. However, if you are missing more battles in your videoludic day to day, its proposal will give you the dopamine demanded through its best confrontations.

There's no denying it: NBA 2K23 is once again a sports game of the highest level, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Jordan Challenge and the retro options. However, it's getting harder and harder to perceive the visual and gameplay improvements, along with the most aggressive micropayment system in the entire industry.

The Last of Us: Part I updates the original adventure of Joel and Ellie in audiovisual and playable terms, beyond what many of us expected when its development was announced. Enhancing its emotional side and improving the gameplay. In addition, it comes with some other juicy extra for anyone who likes to delve into the development of the work. So this version becomes, in its own right, the best way to enjoy The Last of Us and Left Behind.

Soul Hackers 2 is good news for fans of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, a JRPG that, despite not reaching the excellence of its more direct predecessors, delivers a remarkable experience that knows how to find its own space within the demonic universe of Atlus .

Although its accessibility causes the interest does not remain as high at the end as in the first hours of gameplay, Cult of the Lamb is one of the most interesting indie games of 2022. Forming the sect to our liking and taking care of the minions is very satisfying.

Sonic Origins, despite its turbulent release and Sega's commercial manoeuvring, is a remarkable compilation exercise that serves as an example in terms of celebrating a legacy. Its updated versions, the preservation of classic titles, the incorporation of new approaches and the inclusion of its museum are what should be the standard for compilations.

SpellForce 3 is still a good game, even though the RPG side of the gameplay clearly takes the uphand on the RTS side. The console port could have been much better, too.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge confirms, as far as Beat 'em Ups are concerned, the good form of DotEmu. A classic exercise that knows how to bring the right novelties without betraying the most conservative canons of the genre, which is excellent in terms of gameplay, and which is crowned as one of the best videogames ever made about the Ninja Turtles. Moreover, it is just as much fun to play alone as it is with others. A sure value for fans of the genre and fans of the franchise alike.

Cheating in Card Shark is fun. It's a pity that the traditional control is too complicated and that does not go beyond being a collection of increasingly difficult mini-games.

Souldiers is a remarkable metroidvania in its own right. A title that is an exercise in personality that distances it from the rest of the proposals of the style that flood the market. Above all thanks to its successful universe and the tone it manages. But it has certain design frictions (mainly related to the management of the challenge) that prevent it from going further. However, if you come to it with patience, you will enjoy its virtues.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a two-dimensional action game built on the precepts of Japanese role-playing. It is an enjoyable "JRPG lite" that doesn't require a great deal of commitment, and presents an interesting and enjoyable universe in which you want to linger. A game that doesn't do anything wrong, but doesn't do anything particularly remarkable either, and which serves as a prequel to the eagerly awaited Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Nintendo Switch Sports aims to bring back one of the most iconic Wii experiences, and it achieves this thanks to several implementations that improve some of the classic proposals of the series, and the presence of new sports that, football aside, have been very well interpreted. The negative note is given by a content that, despite having a pending update that will include golf in the autumn, is far from the most complete installment of the franchise. However, it is still a safe value as a party game and comes at a reduced price.

Weird West presents itself as a videogame divided in two, composed of a duality that places it between the experimental and the tried and tested formula, presenting a really appealing proposal in everything that has to do with role-playing and player-world interaction, and attending to conventionalisms in terms of action. I have a bit too much of the latter, but I can't help but applaud its merits. Play it on PC, though.
