A remake that will satisfy veteran pilots and surprise those who have never stepped foot in an Arwing before. More complete than ever for solo play or co-op, the battle mode has been pushed to the background, but it still has some good ideas.

Deer & Boy is another work of art in motion and a game capable of breaking the player’s heart. While it explores universal themes such as friendship and resilience, it draws us into a silent fantasy world that brings out our deepest emotions.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales stumbles at times on the journey it sets out to take, but following Elliot and Faie on their adventure through the ages is still a great idea for any fan of classic RPGs.

The 7th Guest Remake adapts the original for modern systems without sacrificing much of what made the game a benchmark in the puzzle-adventure genre. At times, it feels like a direct port of the virtual reality version, but despite this, the experience eventually finds its rhythm, and its strength lies in puzzles that hold the game together and create a strangely addictive experience.

Gothic 1 Remake pays homage to the original with a third-person RPG that aims to challenge the player. With no interactive maps, compasses, waypoints, or on-screen markers, we must listen closely to the characters and rely on them to get through the early stages, which will gradually draw us into this great adventure. The improvements go beyond the visuals to offer a better-designed world in terms of gameplay, smoother combat, and a rewritten story full of new possibilities. A return that isn’t without its flaws but marks a good first step for future remakes.

eFootball Kick-Off! is exactly what many of us have been waiting for in a soccer game: uncomplicated fun. It has the good and the bad of the latest PES/eFootball games, but without the intrusive pop-ups, card packs, and all that unnecessary paraphernalia.

World of Tanks: HEAT is a step forward for Wargaming’s famous free-to-play PvP franchise. From the cockpit of our tank, we’ll face off against other players in a series of missions and maps designed for frenetic, fast-paced combat. Its new agents, with different classes and abilities, and the inclusion of 15 tanks offer a fresh take that improves on the traditional formula without losing sight of what matters most: the tanks. Rounding out the package are 8 maps and 4 game modes that, once you get the hang of them, make for an engaging and highly entertaining experience.

007 First Light features a sophisticated and comprehensive infiltration system, as well as solid hand-to-hand combat mechanics. The lackluster cover system does not detract from what could mark a new era for 007 in the world of video games.

STARBITES is a JRPG with a nostalgic charm and traditional gameplay systems that create a highly entertaining loop. However, it also features a story that fails to fully engage, rather lackluster technical aspects, and is released without a translation—a factor that significantly limits its accessibility to a large number of players.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a charming tribute to the DC icon that isn't afraid to take things with a sense of humor, inviting us on a journey through a less “dark” version of Gotham—but one that's just as memorable.

Forza Horizon 6 picks up where the previous installment left off and takes us to Japan in the best possible way. With Spanish voice acting, new radio stations, tons of activities to do, and plenty of cars, Playground once again focuses on what really matters: making driving fun. Whether you’re hitting over 350 km/h or cruising at a leisurely 75, driving through Japan is a true pleasure on every kind of terrain. Customization and design round out the experience with new housing options that join vehicle tuning and our avatar’s outfits and accessories to ensure we never have a moment to be bored in the new Horizon Festival. The technical aspects put the icing on the cake with 4K resolution and 60 FPS running smoothly in Performance Mode, and a Quality Mode that pushes realism to new heights with outstanding visuals.

Mixtape succeeds as a narrative adventure. It tells a coming-of-age story through a smart blend of visuals and music, delivering some genuinely fun moments along the way. Unfortunately, it’s not a game for everyone.

Directive 8020 builds on the formula established in 2015, adding several gameplay layers (some more successful than others) to its narrative-driven core and butterfly effect mechanics. However, its greatest strength lies in the freedom it gives players to explore its complex tree of decisions and consequences. It is Supermassive Games’ most complete and enjoyable adventure since Until Dawn.

Aphelion is a third-person adventure set on a remote planet. With two playable characters and the planet Persephone as the true protagonist, its climbing mechanics and stealth sequences aren’t enough to draw us into the experience. DON’T NOD repeats some of its past mistakes by forcing drama and intensity in an adventure where science fiction is relegated to a secondary role. A flimsy excuse to watch the characters suffer and declare their love for one another to the strains of a cello throughout the four or five hours the experience lasts.

With a universe of design possibilities and an outstanding creative engine, Double Fine offers us the catharsis of destruction in a game that oozes originality and humor from every pore. Kiln invites us to build our own combat vessels and take them into battle in a game featuring great level design, frantic 90s-style gameplay, and a unique art style. While we wait for new maps and game modes, the current catalog falls a bit short—we’ll have to wait and see how it grows in the coming weeks.

With Saros, Housemarque once again proves what it's made of. It's a step forward from Returnal, building on the best parts of that experience and elevating them even further. The result is a game that is both challenging and rewarding, with a complex and fascinating story, a protagonist who undergoes significant development, and gameplay that invites us to keep pushing ourselves time and time again.

Sad Cat Studios makes its debut with REPLACED, a gripping adventure that rewrites humanity’s known past. Some 80 dystopian and retrofuturistic settings serve as the backdrop for the story, which takes on special significance as the game progresses. Outstanding art, visceral combat, and platforming come together to create an action title where everything blends perfectly to form a well-rounded video game.

Pragmata goes all-in with a unique gameplay approach—and it pays off. At first, it’s challenging to balance the two major systems it introduces, but over time, this hybrid combat system has really won me over. That, combined with the character portrayals and the story of its two protagonists, makes Pragmata one of the must-play games of the year so far.

Depending on how you look at it, the nature of Life is Strange: Reunion changes completely. On the one hand, it works perfectly as a tribute to the first game in the series, delivering a deeply emotional reunion. On the other hand, the gameplay and story of this new installment don't stand out as much as they should, precisely because they rely too heavily on nostalgia.

Three solid games that, while they didn't exactly revolutionize the genre back in the day, still managed to carve out a spot for themselves among RPG and character enthusiasts. That said, Capcom—just as it did with the Battle Network Collection—has done the bare minimum, and sometimes, as with the language options, not even that.
