Dollhouse: Behind the Broken Mirror does not reach the average standard of the genre, but despite its problems it is still an interesting exercise with some good ideas. Its proposal doesn't make you fall in love, but it serves to lay the foundations for future projects that could improve on what we've seen. Several scenarios and types of enemies, weapons, inventory and a refreshing protagonist are the most positive parts of a title to which the lack of budget takes its toll.

Petit Island is as simple as it is beautiful. A vacation on an island full of activities and secrets in which we can meet our miaubuelo's friends while we relive their childhood days. In the skin of a little kitten, we can travel at will, take pictures, fish and live a colorful vacation while watching our protagonist grow as a feline person.

Compulsion Games signs what is undoubtedly its magna opus with South of Midnight. A tremendous adventure in a fictional corner of the deep south of the United States that takes a multitude of influences to create a world as peculiar as it is attractive. Shocking visually, outstanding musically and with characters and interpretations more than up to par, the new Microsoft Studios manages to catch with an addictive and fluid gameplay that ends up shaping a rounded product and 100% recommendable.

Atomfall is a cold fusion of elements that work with design decisions that are not entirely clear. Its British scenarios serve as a backdrop for an adventure that flees from the RPG promising a survival that falls short with some mechanics that feel forced. It is still an enjoyable game but comparisons with the greats of the genre leave a project that could have used a few more months of development.

The First Berserker: Khazan and its brutal action combat will be a real challenge for you, and manages to deliver a very enjoyable gameplay experience. Although with some bumps in the road, it is a game that manages to earn his spot in the genre with a challenging proposal and with some very interesting ideas.

inZOI's early access is already showing green shoots that will probably lead to a promising future, but there is still a lot of polishing to be done. The basics are good, and the content is more than robust, but it is the background where there is a lot to work on. [Early Access Score = 70]

Assassin's Creed Shadows is the culmination of Ubisoft's open world formula. A beautiful Japan that will suck you in, filled with details and things to do. Shadows has shortcomings, but they are blurred in a world where you can dive in for hundreds of hours.

The original game was an epic adventure that, although it had its ups and downs, managed to position itself as a great JRPG. Now, this Definitive Edition comes to offer the best version of Xenoblade Chronicles X, with additions and improvements that suit it very well and strengthen its greatness.

The work of WWE 2K25 is simply outstanding. An experience that knows how to attract new players and convince the most veteran ones with a surprising evolution in the saga. Epic comebacks like Wrestle Chain go hand in hand with new intergender matches, game modes for all tastes and a wide catalog of gameplay offerings to create what is undoubtedly the best chapter of the series in years. The presence of mythical fighters and names, the entertainment possibilities and control improvements such as the new third-person over-the-shoulder camera manage to paint a smile on the player's face as he flies over the barriers towards the opponent or enjoys some of the many craziness of The Island. A great job that proves, now yes, that in this wrestling few know as much as Visual Concept.

Suikoden 1 and 2 are two more than solid JRPGs, which are a living example of the golden age of the genre, and which receive with this collection their best exponent to date. They are not perfect, and they drag certain rough edges from their original release, but they are two must-haves for any fan of the genre.

With a story that mixes fantasy and science fiction, varied mechanics and a more challenging difficulty, Split Fiction manages to innovate within the genre without losing the essence of Josef Fares. Its visual beauty, the depth of its characters and the unique gameplay make every moment special. It is not only a tribute to the studio's previous titles, but an evolution that shows that the coop mode still has a lot to offer.

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is a continuist proposal that is still able to stand out with great charm and personality. A tribute to fantasy classics and a story of revenge seasoned with humor, tragedy and little animals everywhere.

If you're a fan of the Yakuza series, simply for the sake of enjoying a complete adventure for Majima, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is worth your time. It's also as packed with quality content as ever, although this time, due to its structure, it sometimes encourages us to delve a little too hard into it. Of course, you have to be very aware of how a title like Yakuza's total focus on absurdity and combat affects it; whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

Inhuman Bondage is an interesting DLC because of the possibilities of the new character, but what is really relevant in the latest update of Red Hook's game is Kingdoms. This game mode breathes new life into it, looking back to improve what was added in Darkest Dungeon 2.

Avowed is forceful, solid and very powerful visually but, after almost sixty hours running around the five zones that include the Living Lands, the end catch me off guard and without having fulfilled many of the expectations I had made with its release. After the gems of Grounded and Pentiment, Obsidian fails to offer that personal and unique touch of previous titles. With Avowed, Obsidian has opted to reach the widest possible audience by creating a powerful and very pretty product that doesn't trust the player and softens too much everything we expect to find in a game from the company.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2 is too much of a continuity sequel, so much so that at times it forgets to contribute something of its own, and that's its biggest problem. Even so, it's also an outstanding JRPG that manages to feel modern while embracing the classic.

Thanks to its (not so) few changes from previous instalments, Civilization VII provides more freedom to think and strategize so that we can build a different way of playing each time. With a wide range of options and more profound decision-making, Fireaxis offers one of the best games in the franchise.

Bandai Namco takes advantage of one of its latest anime, Synduality: Noir. to create Synduality: Echo of Ada. A game that invites us to shoot monsters, enemies and other players while we travel on the back of our own mecha. The customization and preparation of each raid become an important part of the proposal while we get resources, fight and get money to improve our subway headquarters. With touches of roguelike and a lot of desire to keep us glued to the control as long as possible, the lack of content and automation make that in the end we are left wanting more.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a pleasant surprise for gamers who have been following the Tayabusa clan since the old Tecmo games of the 80-90s. A remastering at the height of the original title that offers about 13-15 hours of fun filled with extreme combat, frenetic action and many game modes as a reward after completing the campaign. The visual and performance improvements allow us to play at 4K 120 FPS turning the game screen into a spectacle of blood, gore and severed limbs.

The upgrades, the new orc species, and the controls and mechanics of the new character have added a lot of fun to a saga that at first seemed to have nothing new to offer. It's a good game, but I think it still needs more innovation in its main mechanics.

The Inheritance of Crimson Manor gives a twist to the Crimson Manor saga of Mediacity Games with a proposal that invites us to investigate the mysteries of the mansion in search of answers. A series of very well constructed puzzles go hand in hand with a solid scenario design and a not so solid story to result in a game in which the undisputed star are the puzzles that we will have to solve to reach the end.
