It lacks some features that where present in the old Master of Orion II, and many of the bold ideas Stellaris and Endless Legend introduced to the genre. A playable, fun game, with great production value, but not a game that will stand the test of time.

Despite some limitations in party managing and world interactions, Cyanide has made its best title ever. Aarklash Legacy is a good example of tactical GdR with an isometric view and many hardcore gamers will love it.

Siege Survival’s focus is on realism and the complexity of the management: it’s a good game, but it needs some expertise in the genre to be fully appreciated.

A title that tests one's ability to focus on a goal without giving up. At any cost. Even if it were necessary to leave the computer paused for hours, to not lose the progress made in that level. Nothing new, neither as gameplay nor as atmosphere, but overall, it is pleasant... if you’ve got the patience of the dolphin Jones.

A fun and immediately engaging game, with some new ideas, but nothing that really brings forward the series. The budget price should make it particularly appealing to the fans.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is an interesting experiment, that can bring new users into the fighting game community… unless they’re interested in the single player side: the built-in RPG does not offer a real challenge.

Mortal Shell is a soulslike that knows how to create the right atmosphere. The combat system is interesting, innovative in some ways, but the game still suffers from some technical problems that can arbitrarily vary the difficulty of the game, from time to time.

Ghost of Yōtei offers solid gameplay and atmosphere but falls short of expectations, with déjà-vu design and modest production values. A good open world, yet not the standout PS5 exclusive it should be.

The bland remastered edition of a one-and-half-year-old game, plus a reasonably good stand alone expansion. More meat than technique.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is an HD collection of 3DS titles never released before in the West that tries to reiterate the beloved Ace Attorney formula with an historical-drama flavour. Characters and settings are fleshed out in a brilliant way and yet the gameplay feels too familiar for its own good.

An old school fantasy first person shooter like we rarely see. It can get repetitive on the long run, but genre lovers should try it.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is one of the most interesting survival games I've played in the last few years. With very interesting mechanics and a gameplay capable of evolving together with the brains of the apes, Ancestors lets us experience the struggles of the human evolution. Unfortunately cumbersome controls and a difficulty that easily leads to frustration which partially ruins the experience.

Without spoiling too much, I'll just say that I would've liked a different, more compelling epilogue to the expansion's storyline, but the new spiritborn class is still a nice addition to the formula and there are plenty of content to enjoy during your stay in Nahantu, if you enjoy some more Diablo IV.

Lightning Returns is not the closure we hoped for and represent a slight step back for the series Nevertheless is a good game, graced by an amazing combat system that that probably deserved a better context. If you are a fan you certainly enjoy the game, but its magic seems to be lost somewhere else.

Aliens: Dark Descent is certainly not the best Alien-themed video game ever made but, thanks to several very intriguing ideas regarding the gameplay, it has proven to be a decent RTS that manages to perfectly recreate the mood of the famous film saga.

This PlayStation 4 port of Outlast is identical to the previous 2013 PC version. Same contents, same menus and almost same graphics (1080-60 fps). In addition the game is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers and, despite too-basic game mechanics, Outlast is simply scary.

Although it’s more an action-adventure multiplayer game than a proper MMORPG, LEGO Minifigures Online doesn’t fail to deliver a fun (a lot of them actually) world in which you play with your minifigures. Just keep in mind that it’s a free to play game with children as the main target.

It has not aged impeccably and does not instill fear and tension as it did 29 years ago. However, in this new, rich edition, Rewind Clock Tower is still an enjoyable survival horror, original in its own way and widely replayable.

Heavily inspired by Demon's Souls and Nioh, The First Berserker: Khazan may lack depth in its narrative and feel somewhat uninspired in terms of level design, but it still leaves a mark thanks to its great combat system and some fantastic boss fights. Despite a few excessive difficulty spikes, it remains enjoyable for the most part.
