Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS is (still) the best mecha videogame.

It's not the next masterpiece of the shoot em up genre, but it's a very solid, engaging and fun game. And it's on cross-buy!

Thanks to a radical change of atmosphere and to a general revamp of the game mechanics, Tales of Xillia 2 is a very good JRPG, much better than what the limited scope of the production would suggest.

Maneater plays it safe. It chooses simple mechanics and proposes them in a ten and more hours loop, but in doing so, however, it makes the right choice, because Maneater is a well crafted and fun title. Those who are not afraid to do the same thing over and over again to become the lord of the oceans will find flesh for their teeth.

A solid game, that gives you an engaging and deep tactical experience. There's not a ton of replayability, though, unless you're deeply into grinding and you tolerate some repetitiveness.

The second installment in Disney Infinity's franchise is more mature and complete, with a bunch of interesting new features regarding character development. Fun for the kids despite not so impressive graphics and a lack of variety in Avengers' main story mode.

Episode Aigis, the new DLC for Persona 3 Reload, offers a faithful recreation of The Answer from Persona 3 FES. While it explores profound themes like grief and trauma, its gameplay focuses heavily on combat, omitting many life-simulation elements that made the original game beloved. Although improved combat mechanics and character growth are satisfying, the repetitive procedural dungeons detract from the overall experience. However, the narrative depth, emotional closure, and connection to Persona 3 Reload make this content essential for fans who completed the main story despite its narrow focus and steep price point.

Doom VFR is an experience to try absolutely (even better with the free movement), but as a game itself it was reasonable to expect something more.

Fun to play and beautiful to watch, NHL 23 has pretty much everything to be a little gem. Everything except the contents, which are exactly the same of the previous edition: a truly wasted opportunity.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is a farming simulator that doesn't dare much but that offers all the elements of the genre with the right expertise. Don't expect particularly deep gameplay though.

Shadow Warrior 3 is a fast, spectacular and over-the-top arena shooter (with bland platforming sections) and, on this front, it works very well. Don't ask for anything more, though.

The new, HD version of Under Defeat keeps intact the charm of the original game, but fails in bringing a touch of modernity that would have made the game a must-buy for the shoot'em up fans.

Once you have finished the game and switched off your console, you'll remember Blackwood Crossing as one of the most memorable gaming experiences in recent years: in just a few hours, it will summon vivid and palpable feelings; joy and sorrow so touching as to stimulate reflection on the value of brotherly affection.

Far Cry: New Dawn is a good spin-off for Far Cry 5, but doesn’t completely match the value of the parent game. If you enjoyed FC5 and want more, this is a good "more". Otherwise, play FC5 first.

The First Samurai is the worthy conclusion of a long journey, which reunites (without too many surprises) the beginning with the end in this epic narrative of a cycle of events that seems destined to repeat itself forever. Team Ninja recycles the formula of the first Nioh to bring to the most insatiable players an end-game able to entertain them for some time, without shining for inventiveness, but aiming for a pleasant more of the same.
