FIFA 23 is the perfect goodbye party for the EA Sports franchise. HyperMotion 2.0 is brilliant in portraying intensity, dynamism and hi-tense rhythm football. The gameplay is hectic and engaging, even though quite unbalanced in terms of offensive/defensive action and the goalkeepers AI is quite questionable. If you like offensive football and epic individual duels, FIFA 23 will provide hours of fun both in single and multiplayer, while the "new" Ultimate Teams works great.

Call of the Elder Gods is a mature and highly rewarding evolution of the foundation laid by Call of the Sea. Out of the Blue Games delivers a vibrant, puzzle-driven adventure that explores Lovecraftian lore through a surprisingly intimate and poetic lens. While the dual-protagonist mechanics feel somewhat underutilized and a few puzzles stumble in execution, the excellent narrative, the satisfying lateral-thinking challenges, and a beautiful handling of themes like grief and the afterlife make it a must-play. A thoroughly captivating journey that smartly closes old chapters while hinting at a promising future.

The second chapter of The Hinokami Chronicles saga meets all the minimum requirements to be a good product capable of transporting players, especially fans of the saga, through a decent adaptation of the story and fun, colorful battles; however, it fails to meet the expectations of the public: many—including myself—would have preferred a product similar to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Instead, the developers decided not to take any risks and to stick to tried and tested formulas: a sufficient product that doesn't innovate but is entertaining; all the typical elements of CyberConnect2 games are there, capable of teasing lovers of the genre, but without ever taking risks or aspiring to anything new. The combat system remains its strong point, simple, dynamic, and fun, slightly improved compared to the previous chapter, but we are still left with the dynamics that pervade the game in its entirety: nothing new.

Like Dead Space 2 before it, the game has survival horror segments and some more action-oriented moments, resulting in a varied and nicely paced adventure. The Wonderful 101: Remastered is an exciting concentration of fun. The wonderful design, the roaring, noisy sound; everything shines and enchants, just like seven years ago. And yet, despite its solid playability and full of concepts, the camera often struggles to follow the action at its best, becoming a real nightmare in the tightest of spaces (always very short, luckily). The game is difficult to tame, and perhaps that sense of continuous unbalance you feel in controlling the heroes is an integral part of the playful framework. Keiichi Okabe's artistic direction and compositions are as always noteworthy, something that encourages to explore the game world by indulging in his symphonies. Net of this, however, there are few changes on the playful side, despite the fact that the game difficulty has been slightly raised compared to the predecessor without proposing something too demanding. Longevity is certainly a point in its favor, even if the side activities aren't as engaging as the rest of the main story is.
