NBA 2K20 is pure magic on the playground. The new physical model, the impact of the new defensive system and the fine tuning of the gameplay is something valuable which give to basketball lovers endless possibilities. On the other side, the new GM mode is very disappointing and 2K business model for MyTeam is still questionable. The good news is that microtransations are quite useless in MyCareer mode, which thanks to King James work shines again to its original beauty.

Dead Rising 3 is an impressive improvement on the series, especially for those who hated the time pressure in the first two episodes. Nightmare mode, however, is a huge tribute to the original gameplay. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Only the graphics are not "next-gen ready".

A great co-op platform game that requires some strong platforming skill but is largely based on terrific puzzles. Artistic direction is great and challenge is very high (especially if you're aiming at 100% completion). There are some minor issues, mechanics are pretty simple and there basically is no single player, but it's still a great game.

WWE 2K26 is loud, excessive, and delightfully crazy. Visual Concepts has chosen chaos as its mantra—certified by the presence of CM Punk—and the result is a game packed with content and new features. Pokémon Legends: Z-A isn't the break with the past that some might have hoped for, but it's a good Pokémon game that introduces a fun new battle system to the series and marks the return of Mega Evolutions, in a setting that will be familiar to fans and welcoming to anyone experiencing the world of Pokémon for the first time. The game suffers a bit from its cross-gen nature and its Nintendo Switch origins in terms of graphics, but this time around performance is not to be faulted. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a great game, then, with many strengths, and it also has the value and quality of ending on a high note. For this very reason, however, it's even more disappointing to see the shortcomings of yet another Pokémon game that fails to reach the excellence it perhaps could and should have aspired to.

FIFA 22 is the most interesting and deep entry in the series from years to date, thanks to its new physics, AI and level of details. FIFA 22 gives players a game finally balanced, where defenders have the same power of attackers. The spectacular and televised identity of the franchise, though, is always the same, but this comes as a silent revolution which, if not muted after a couple of match in the name of metagame and pro gaming, it could be a great start for the future.

Othercide is a wonderfully imperfect game: you can't overlook the lack of class balance, nor the exasperation of its roguelike nature. This one, above all, is capable of inflicting hits of great playful frustration before the experience and skills acquired begin to shyly overlook your endless ordeals. The game doesn't come to terms with anyone, it proudly writes its rules and dictates its own inflexible laws. Getting in tune with this type of gameplay can provide a unique and rewarding experience. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a delightful game, a small production that exudes care from all pores and manages to instill a relaxing sense of calm in the player. The narration, which draws on classic Japanese folklore, has those simple but winning characteristics typical of the training story. A pure, cheerful and touching fairy tale, capable of holding on to the screen until the (splendid!) conclusion. Unfortunately, some naivety in mission management makes the second half of the game a bit redundant. It would have been perfect to "dry" the continuous backtracking, enriching the central part with some unprecedented fighting. However, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin can be loved, with well implemented game elements and wonderful art direction.
