Macross -Shooting Insight- brings iconic characters, planes, and music from different eras of the series, but the simple and unbalanced gameplay, along with limited transformations and incomplete localization, diminish the overall experience. At the end of the day, this legendary franchise deserves better than this.

Although it’s still not the ultimate version of Ninja Gaiden 2, Black brings back the brutal action and challenge that the genre has been missing for years. With enhanced graphics and ultra-fast technical performance, this classic doesn’t feel outdated even today and serves as the perfect warm-up for the series' return with its fourth installment later this year.

When we consider what it means to be a good Metroidvania, Somber Echoes definitely fits the bill, but doesn’t do anything to really stand out. Even though the game doesn’t do anything bad, it also doesn’t do anything good that we haven’t already seen in other games. At the end of the day, this is just another decent Metroidvania, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

The PC version of the game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the best way to experience this legendary JRPG title and see all its visual splendor, but a few technical issues prevent it from receiving the perfect score that the console version deserves.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an ambitious evolution of Henry's adventures featuring an improved combat system, better optimization, and a larger map filled with dynamic events and meaningful player choices. While the AI can still cause chaos at the worst moments, the game delivers an authentic medieval experience that is both frustrating and incredibly satisfying.

The best Civilization game to date, offering a much-welcome refresh for longtime fans while providing the perfect entry point for newcomers. Addictive and immersive, it will quickly become your new favorite game as you lose track of time in its deep strategic gameplay.

Sniper Elite: Resistance is another addition to the series that uses the old tried and tested recipe with satisfying sniper mechanics and open mission design, but it lacks significant innovation and suffers from technical problems. Inconsistent opponent AI and outdated graphics limit it, making it a game mostly for dedicated fans.

Suppose we didn’t know this was a remaster of a 15-year-old Wii game. In that case, we’d think it was a completely new, modern, and above all, exceptionally polished platformer that pays brilliant homage to the Super Nintendo classics. The newly balanced difficulty and more accessible controls make this modern classic even better.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins revitalizes the series by returning to its roots with modernized graphics, enhanced combat mechanics, and a richer narrative, delivering the ultimate power fantasy on the battlefield. While the lack of co-op mode and occasional mission repetitiveness may be drawbacks, the game remains a must-play for hack-and-slash enthusiasts.

Fantasian: Neo Dimension is a nostalgic journey in which the legends behind the classic Final Fantasy titles take us back directly to the golden age of the JRPG genre. This port offers a more complete experience with new voice acting, Final Fantasy music, and a few minor improvements, but essentially remains the same Apple Arcade game without significant changes.

Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest tries to revive old PC nostalgia, but gets lost between the outdated mechanics of the original and the insufficiently modernized approach of the new version. While it’s clear that the remake was made with love, the final result will likely struggle to find its place among old fans, and even more so among new players.

A modern action-adventure full of great acting, narrative twists, and beautiful locations to explore. Astoundingly poor enemy AI and stealth mechanics do not ruin the sense of gameplay; instead, they transform those segments into insignificant moments on the path to good fun.

Fitness Boxing 3 is a solid improvement over its predecessor, perfect for those seeking a fun and accessible way to stay active at home while maybe learning a bit about boxing. Just don’t challenge real boxers to a match.

Ravenswatch is a visually impressive roguelike with an interesting concept, but it suffers from balance and repetitiveness issues. If you plan to play alone, expect a tougher challenge and possible frustration. On the other hand, in the co-op mode, the game comes to the fore and provides real enjoyment.

Farming Simulator 25 is a unique experience of managing a farm, with frequent bugs, bad AI and unoptimized graphics, which should not happen to games nowadays. This title certainly has potential, but in this state, it's definitely not for everyone.

We’ve had a lot of great JRPGs this year, but this isn’t one of them. Unless you’re a fan of Fairy Tail, there are very few reasons why you’d want to play this game. The battles are generic, the game expects you to know the plot and it often seems like the game just wants you to be done with it and move on.

We highly recommend playing Stray, if you haven’t already, on more powerful consoles or PC to experience this intriguing and beautiful story as it was originally crafted. However, if the Nintendo Switch is truly your only option, this is still an okay way to enjoy the game about the cat that has captured so many hearts… even if it’s a bit blurry.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a horror masterpiece that contains the original recipe of this genre - tension, creepy atmosphere and excellent stealth mechanics. If you've ever wondered what it's like to live in the world that fell silent from the movie series of the same name, this game will give you an excellent impression of the eerie everyday life of survival.

Metaphor: ReFantazio brings out the best of ATLUS's JRPG style, blending a medieval atmosphere with elements of the Persona series and a deeper, more serious fantasy narrative. The result is one of the best JRPGs of the year, impressive in nearly every aspect.

As much as we’d like to say that there’s a good stealth game for kids, Totally Spies! Cyber Mission doesn't deserve that praise. We really wanted to like this game but the frustrating enemies, fake co-op and other unpolished mechanics didn’t let us. Sorry girls, but this mission is a failure.

With strong characters and a creatively written campaign, Black Ops 6 meets expectations. The tried-and-true formula remains, and the well-designed open-world map is a major plus. The Emergence mission stands out, and it’s clear the series needs to move in this direction, as it holds tremendous potential.

Unknown 9: Awakening is not a total failure, but it is not a guiding star on the video game horizon either. It may have had the potential to become something bigger, but the current execution leaves a lot of room for improvement. If you want a fun way to an unforgettable adventure, maybe you should look elsewhere.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership brings fresh humor and plenty of creativity to this somewhat forgotten RPG series, with a combat system that’s fun and interactive. Exploring the world of Concordia offers a true sense of adventure and a uniquely charming Nintendo experience that many will enjoy, though the game’s pacing and rhythmic battles may not appeal to everyone.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is terrified of what players might think of it and so it plays it safe. So safe, that it trivializes combat, minimizes exploration and almost completely disregards players choice. In the end, all that’s left are pretty graphics and a decent story.

The Smurfs: Dreams isn’t horrible but it’s not brilliant either. From start to finish this was an OK experience that we breezed through and are forgetting about even as we write this. As much as we love the Smurfs, they are definitely more fun when they’re awake.
