Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an almost perfect JRPG that has plenty to offer both complete beginners and hardcore players seeking the toughest challenges in the genre. The excellent foundation from 2021 has been meaningfully expanded and enriched in this multiplatform release, with new content and much-needed quality-of-life options.

A great tribute to the legendary Nintendo competitions, showing us that classic NES games are still very playable and fun, even in the format of short speedrun challenges. With a large number of games and various offline and online modes, this edition offers more fun than you might expect.

If there was ever a belief that FromSoftware couldn't get any better, this DLC shatters that notion. With each release, they demonstrate progress and implement new concepts that delight fans. At this pace, only FromSoftware can outdo FromSoftware, which is somewhat expected as they remain the masters of the Souls formula.

Wrath of the Mutants is an old-school arcade port that adds little new to the 'home' version of the game, which can still be completed in about an hour. It's mainly for TMNT collectors and younger fans of the newer turtles.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD brings the 3DS sequel back to life with improved graphics, though it retains the original content unchanged. While it misses the chance to update mechanics to align with the latest installment, it still guarantees fun for those new to Luigi's ghost-catching adventures.

The foundation of the game is strong, drawing from the two-generations-old TopSpin 4. However, the lack of content, weak career mode, and mandatory "Virtual Currency" detract from the overall experience. While it's exciting to see TopSpin make a comeback, it falls short of expectations.

The impossible has happened! The Final Shape is not only the best expansion in the ten-year history of the Destiny series, but also one of the best games Bungie has ever made. This top-of-the-line FPS title now has the potential to be the basis for even bigger and more ambitious adventures in the next decade.

An unusually beautiful game that fails to surpass the success of its predecessor. This is a classic example of how all the money and time in the world can't guarantee a final product that satisfies players. It offers an intriguing deep dive into the psychoses and inner visions that the mentally ill endure daily, and the struggles required to overcome (or at least manage) these challenges.

Rising Tide offers an interesting addition to the story in Final Fantasy XVI with a slightly different atmosphere and the most challenging content yet, which might deter casual players. Aside from a new Eikon and a few additional surprises, it doesn't add much new or impact the already concluded main story. It's mainly for hardcore fans of the sixteenth installment who want a bit more of the same.

Despite expectations for this year's F1 game to surpass its predecessor, it fell short. Although the upgraded main Career mode may appeal to casual drivers, the overall package and the complete simulation layer remain too dry and unbalanced for serious driving enthusiasts.

Ripout is a beautifully designed and very finely seasoned blend of first-person-shooter and rogue-lite game. Although there are balance issues (especially with solo mode), we can't remember the last time we played an FPS this unique and addictive. If you're sick of run-and-gun games, try Ripout and see how patience trumps aggression and rushing.

The remake of the beloved Paper Mario sequel brings completely new, stunning graphics and a few minor tweaks to the already tried-and-true, acclaimed Nintendo RPG classic. The biggest downside is that the new version runs at half the frame rate of the two-decade-old original, but despite this, it's hard not to recommend the new and improved Thousand-Year Door to all Switch players.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a truly incredible homage to old-school JRPGs that will hit the "sweet spot" for nostalgic players with its mechanics, story, and graphics. Additionally, it is an excellent game for new players who want to experience the magic of the predecessors of today's JRPGs.

On paper, South Park: Snow Day! sounds like a blast—a co-op RPG action set in the 3D world of the legendary series, complete with its trademark unfiltered humor. However, in practice, the completely broken combat system and very poor technical solutions make this title look like nothing more than a huge missed opportunity.
