A retake on the original product that yields surprisingly sharp results because of the compacted nature.

The score gets dragged down just a bit by the short length and some AI problems, but this is still a fun game.

A decent job of reskinning the old PlayStation version with new Dreamcast graphics, the game is still dark and moody, with the action well spaced out between the tense situations.

Silent Scope looks good, sounds good, plays okay, but it's still a lot of fun -- but there's not a whole lot left to enjoy.

A fun game, but is it the best 3D update to the classic NBA Jam? No -- and it's not as good as many of the 2D incarnations either.

Looks better than NFL Gameday 2002, and plays better than QB Club or Gameday, but it doesn't have the serious adjustments in the computer controlled players to compete with Madden, Fever, or NFL 2K2.

It's less of a game than Pokemon Stadium to be sure, but fans of the whole phenomenon will leap right to it.

A good game, with some flawed controls, but a nice look.

A fantastic racer with great control and a large number of tracks and cars to choose from. Add in the multiplayer mode, and this is a game you really cannot afford to miss.

The only real problem is a distinct lack of creativity.

Although it briefly brought back memories of the classic "Jungle Strike" and even "Chopper Attack," it felt like a rehash of the older Air Attack game – and it is. But this rehash doesn’t even have enough spark to keep you interested for very long.

This is one of those quirky, indefinable puzzle games that you have to play to understand. Novice players will immediately be hooked, while experienced puzzle fans may find that this wet Tetris is too easy.

If you compare it feature-by-feature to the other versions, you may come to two conclusions – it’s not as good, but it’s still as cool (and fun) to play.

A step above the arcade driving of "Ridge Racer," and a little more serious than the "Need for Speed" series, but it still doesn't beat the granddaddy of great racing games ("Gran Turismo").

The real question is whether it's more fun than NBA Showtime or previous versions of NBA Jam, and the answer there would probably be no.

If you've gotten tired of the same old formula, or you're a big fan of the more RPG-like combat system of the original game, you may want to pass on PE II.

Not as deep, heavy or pretty as the competition, but strangely appealing once the journey starts rolling.

Another facet of the game is a pseudo-RPG element, which adds some replay value to the game, but becomes so ridiculously tedious after a short while that you won't go back to it.

The hardest part of the game is listening to E. Gadd, and the biggest challenges are the patterned and easily beatable bosses.

Since the game requires the bundled Expansion Pak, you would think that the graphics would take the Nintendo 64 to new levels. This sadly isn't the case - there's still cases of pop up and fog - but we can safely say that there aren't many games out there that look as good as this.And hey, any game with monkeys in it is cool by us.

We only recommend it to fans of the series and RPG players who can't stomach all the fancy-shmancy-ness of RPG's like Final Fantasy and games of their ilk.

The soft AI doesn’t make its way into the Quarterback Challenge, easily the most fun part of the game (and developed well, it could turn into a game on its own).

Each of the 3D worlds are crammed tight with interesting layouts, dazzling backgrounds and novel gameplay situations. You never are at a loss to find your next objective - the flip side is that there's little room to explore and find all the cool secret stuff found in other games of this type.

The game has not taken any new leaps and bounds towards improvement in the way that Sega Sports "NBA 2K2" has, scoring this game just a little lower in the overall fun factor.

Norse mythology provides plenty of story and imagery to this 3D action game.

The intensity of the missions, the fast-pace of the action, and the overall graphic flair of the game will have you coming back again and again, regardless of your patience levels.

A much higher score would be given if the ridiculously long 90 second load time between levels had been optimized. Otherwise, it’s a great shooter.

The controls are probably the one thing that makes the game more challenging than it looks. Because there's so much going on, the camera angles will sometimes veer out of control, causing you to lose your place in a tense firefight.

SpyHunter is a lot more like those cop chase shows than you think - you may have reservations about watching (or playing), but once you get hooked, you're in for the whole hour.

The game is still fun, and still retains the exploratory element that made the first game so addictive.

It's the gameplay, though, where NHL Faceoff comes through, even outdoing EA's series in some respects.

Thanks to both CD's being full of gameplay rather than superfluous full motion video sequences, it will take quite a while for even the most avid gamer to make his or her way through to the fulfilling conclusion. It's time well spent.

Part "Mission: Impossible," part "Golden Eye," and all fun. But poor controls hamper the fun and put a dull sheen on the otherwise glossy secret agent.

If you bought last year's version of FIFA, you basically already own this game.

A wonderful showcase for those forgotten SNK fighters, but it’s also geared for highly knowledgeable players who know the difference between a cross-up and a deep cross.

It may sound like a wacky premise, but if you like odd games with a special Japanese flavor, you’ll love this one.

Harvest Moon 64 features no aliens whatsoever. While we’re at it, there are no dancing monkeys for you to "be". Don’t even think about laying waste to some hellish underground network with your super-powered death rays, either. Doesn’t sound like fun? Neither does collecting a hundred and fifty animals but look how well pokemon turned out.

The game is nothing if not involving. A story with real depth, actual humor and pathos, and some dramatic and frightening moments is something you don't see everyday - and even more rare in RPG's.

There's also a smoothness to the throws and fielding that looks great, and the pitching animation is as realistic as you could hope for. There are even different animations for when a fielder loses one in the sun.

While it has its share of shortcomings, March Madness 2001 packs enough variety and fun to make it the champion of Playstation basketball.

It doesn't suck right out of the box - but it doesn't do the series justice. If you're a huge fan of the show, the X-Box version is slightly better than the PS2 version, but don't expect to see the engine taxed.

With a limited number of tracks and hidden riders to expand the game, you may find that it’s biggest challenge will be keeping you interested past the rental return date.

Unlike the Colonel Sander's recipe there are no secret ingredients here, just a keen attention to style and basic video game concepts.

A large part of the game’s charm is it’s humor, but that’s not to say that the action, graphics, and sound don’t also meet the standard of a great PS2 game.

It doesn't have the longevity that we'd like, but it's one of the only games in the series to really make you feel like you're playing war with the plastic men you grew up with in a fun, satisfying way.

Each world has a unique feel and you’re given free reign to explore it while coating the walls with insect insides. You’ve never seen so many special effects on the screen at one time in any Nintendo 64 game before this, and some of the more action-packed scenes later on in the game really light up the screen. Top class.

It’s like playing "Final Fantasy" without meeting any monsters. Pretty to look at, but ultimately a little light in the game play.

Overall, this game is just not much different than the original Ready 2 Rumble. It's definitely a fun game, and if you don't own the original, go ahead and put this one on your short list.

Perfect release timing and the least complicated control set possible. They've slightly erred on both this time out.

It may be derivative, but it’s still a lot of fun. The only real negative may be that most players have probably not heard of many of the included characters.

It's inexplicable, but definite -- Goin Qu@ckers is a lot of fun. Give it a chance before you decide it's too young for you.

As the levels progress and the waves of enemies become bigger and faster it's not uncommon for players to be engulfed in a Zen like trance, mindlessly mowing through levels oblivious to the time of day, their sleeping patterns or what parts of their body have been set on fire. That, you see, is what good games are all about.

Fast and fun.

With the excessive amount of tricks available, well planned and superbly designed skate parks, and solid soundtrack, it almost makes you forget that there's a guy named Mat Hoffman waiting in the wings.

The real problem is that the game won’t hold your attention for longer than a weekend, which is unfortunate.

It's fast pace and good graphics are impressive, but the game doesn't have the staying power to make it a classic.

Basically, though, this is the same game as the original -- the differences being more units, a better play balance, new campaigns, a new leader-based combat system, and obviously updated graphics.

It looks good and plays well, but is missing elements of action and suspense that make a game like this story-heavy vampire hunter easier to digest.

Inoffensive, cute, and somewhat challenging, "Kirby 64" won't slay you with great graphics or spectacular gameplay, but it will keep younger gamers interested for quite a while.

It doesn't damage the reputation of fantasy games, but it doesn't make any spectacular leaps and bounds with it.

Fast, fun, and full of fire, but it's way too short. Even on all the difficulty levels you are getting the same game all around.

Silicon Valley is truly one worth the wait. Original in every sense, wild, wacky and crazy. Adults, don't overlook what appears to be the average kid's game. The gameplay and puzzles are devilishly clever and you'll have hours of fun with this one.

If you're new to the series, this is arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made.

There have been a rash of bad-to-mediocre RPG's for the PS2 lately, and this one rises above the dreck with the combo system and the solid graphics and sound.

It’s one of those rare games that you find yourself playing just to see how it turns out.

The only problem Driver has is that the whole thing gets old pretty quickly.

If you’re sick of waiting for "Time Crisis II"’s release on the PS2 later this year, Project Titan will more than tide you over.

A fine game – but it’s lacking the depth and realism that many of the more complex management type sims have. Those looking for a quick racing thrill without a lot of fuss will find a lot to like.

They’re great for killing a few minutes while riding the train or standing in line at your local Burger King.

Don’t let the soft controls or graphic glitches deter you, though. Arctic Thunder still has some fun in the engine, mostly in the breakneck pace of the races.
