Afterimage is a game with many and varied virtues: aesthetically it is beautiful, its combat is addictive, the soulslike mechanics and difficult bosses are truly challenging... but at the same time, it doesn't do anything particularly innovative or surprising, diluting a bit all the good things it does.

It's a clear improvement from KOF XIV. This installment establishes itself as one of the most complete, accessible fighting games, without sacrificing its essence.

Blazing Chrome is a love letter to a genre and two specific sagas, with a top notch pixel art, levels with different gameplay and local coop for two. But, at the same time, it doesn't go far away from the original run and gun formula. It venerates it more than innovate it, and because of that all you will see has been done before in other games.

The team's ambition to create a different story is noticeable, and the contents it adds manage to expand the saga's vast universe even more. The Spanish translation marks High Isle as the best time to start playing The Elder Scrolls Online.

Dying Light The Beast doesn't reinvent the wheel or introduce changes that revolutionize the series, but it polishes many aspects, enriches others, and adds enough new features (new map, greater vehicle weight, etc.) to make the experience feel fresh, and it succeeds. And, most importantly, it's still as fun as it was on the first day.

To put it simply: TMNT The Cowabunga Collection sets the new standard for retro compilation video games. A great selection of titles and an astounding amount of extras makes this, as the turtles would call it, a "very cowabunga game".

Metal: Hellsinger is a shooter diabolically fun that focuses on a high speed action where rhythm and music are the core of the experience, and power it up with lots of mechanics that make it even deeper. The problem is that it has few levels and everything revolves around getting the highest score in the ranking, and not shooter fans love that.

Sackboy is a fun adventure for everyone, easy to play and difficult to master, and it also works as a demonstration of some Dualsense capabilities, but we miss the creative side of Little Big Planet and more unique mechanics (such as the musical levels).

Despite certain control limitations and its short duration, this game retains all its charm and joyful spirit. It looks great in 4K, by the way.

We are sure that the next Like a Dragon will offer a proper quantum leap for the franchise but, meanwhile, this game will offer hours of unleashed fun. It's crazy, It's intense... It's Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio going full sail once again.

20 years after its original release, it is still a great platform game, with the perfect balance between classic gameplay and new technical elements. On Nintendo Switch looks and feels great, especially on portable mode... but It's a shame that this port suffers from longer loading times and some FPS issues when playing in dock mode.

If you are a fan of Supermassive and slashers, here you will find their most polished and "confortable" experience, with a surprising technical performance. Even so, we would have loved them taking more risks in the narrative department.

Resident Evil 3 is a brilliant remake. It is faithful to the original 1999 PSX game, with updated gameplay and graphics, but Capcom has been able to deepen its storyline, characters and connections with RE2. On the downside, you can finish it under 5 hours (first round).

Once Upon a Katamari doesn't stray an inch from the classic formula of the series; in fact, it plays almost exactly the same. But it enriches the experience with more challenges, more distinct objectives, crazy levels, and competitive multiplayer for 4 players (including online). And all of this is sprinkled with the brand's trademark absurd humor.

Evolution Studios expands DriveClub with a content that can be seen in two different ways: as a DLC, people who played the original may find it plain, but, as an independent game for new users, it has a lot to offer.

Brutal, fast paced and fun, Doom pays homage to classic FPS. The Nintendo Switch version, at 30 FPS (unstable), is not as spectacular as the original released last year, but remains fresh and it´s unique in its genre.

Dirt 5 it's a fun and entertaining arcade racer that had born between two generations and, while we're waiting to see the PS5 & Xbox Series X version, that's something that you can feel. It's fun, made for everyone and with a ton of content, but there are problems with textures, mantaining the 60 fps in performance mode and long loading times.

Aggelos it's a time travel, an adventure in the vein of those that we enjoyed in the 16-bit era, An oversaturated genre even in Switch (pixel art, platforming and 2D metroidvania action) with a style of gameplay adapted to modern tastes. It's not an innovative title, but it's fun, pretty and its right pace helps to get hooked till the end.

Now, this game isn't for everyone, and it's not perfect. As I mentioned before, even after exploring it thoroughly, I'm still not entirely sure what this game is. But isn't that great? It might not be as massive a "hit" as the titles I've been mentioning, but Kirby Air Riders is a unique and personal offering, an absolute creative indulgence that will make you appreciate those quirky games we see less and less of in this industry.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is the first major PS VR2 exclusive, and it does its job to show off the possibilities of the new headset, from the spectacular, crisp graphics to the new controller functions. It especially shines in combat against the machines, although at times it feels a somewhat corseted experience.

Classic playability, characters and controls meet new moves and a whole new 3D engine. It plays as the best KOF ever and it looks better than any other past titles from the SNK saga. Only its visuals have some room for improvement, as some animations are not too smooth and some characters could look better, almost from PS3/X360 generation.

Extensive and surprising JRPG that shows a powerful history dressed up with an improved combat system that offers many strategic possibilities.

Squadrons faithfully delivers Star Wars space combat experience, but it lacks more variety in game modes, starships and levels. The whole game is VR compatible, which makes it one of the best experiences we had with this technology.
