Gearbox has taken the Borderlands formula and improved it to achieve the definitive "looter shooter". Bigger, better, longer and funnier; Borderlands 3 is legendary loot.

Nixxes scores another goal with the port of Ghost of Tsushima to PC, one of the best samurai adventures of all time, which is now even more spectacular. A brilliant work that stands out for how polished and well optimized it is, and that even adds options that until now seemed unthinkable.

If you miss the times when playing video games meant sharing experiences and secrets with your friends and games in which every step was a discovery, then look no further: Dragon's Dogma 2 is the game with the most heart you will find.

PS5 receives a superb port of Baldur's Gate 3, which has not sacrificed any content and technical cuts are negligible, unless you've played it before on a high-end PC. Maybe, the major complaint is that you can only play it with the controller, as mouse and keyboard support has been removed on PS5, as opposed to other games' ports.

The original game was built on motion sensing controls, and finally we are able to enjoy this magic adventure with more conventional control, and higher resolution. Skyward Sword may not be the best Zelda, but it is still a great game, ten years after its original release.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version is simply spectacular, and it demonstrates once again that, in skilled hands, the new hybrid console can deliver games of a quality comparable to consoles like the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, with the added bonus of portability.

Ni No Kuni II is a masterpiece combination of Ghibli style graphics, Joe Hisaishi music works and classic J-RPG gameplay (Level-5 signature). We love its colorful characters, moving storyline and varied game styles.

A gargantuan amount of content and great gameplay (improved thanks to the new consoles capabilities) makes this the best version possible of a legendary game. The name is no lie: this is the ultimate edition of Borderlands 3.

The huge amount of features makes this game one of the most content-packed, varied, enjoyable RPGs ever... Although some technical issues are not as polished as we'd have desired.

The best Bethesda Game Studios has conceived a huge, colossal and exciting game, where each adventure can be different. It's not perfect, but it's certainly one of the games of the year.

Playground gives us, again, a huge and spectacular game with new features, like the 4 player cooperative campaign and the challenges creation. The control is almost perfect and it has enough events and races to keep us playing it for months. There aren't many new gameplay mechanics but Forza Horizon 3 is, no doubt, the best open world racing game out there.

Fire Emblem Fates is excellent, and we enjoyed the Conquest edition a bit more than Birthright. The battles are even deeper and more complex, and the storyline is more original and less predictable.

Village improves almost every aspect we enjoyed in RE 7 Biohazard. It is a great horror story set in Eastern Europe, with a perfect balance between combat, puzzles and exploration. But more is not always better, and sometimes it loses focus on the "survival horror" elements.

Bloodborne tests your patience, your frustration and even your sanity while you play it, but it gives you so many things in exchange that it's always a pleasant experience. Add some of the best art direction and level design that you have ever seen and you've got the first must-need exclusive for PS4.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is one of the best games in 3DS history. It has a powerful online multiplayer, lots of monsters and some new mechanics that make the franchise climb one more step in the evolutionary chain.

Death Stranding is one of those special games that comes out from time to time. Hideo Kojima shows that he's a great storyteller, but he also knows how to create a solid and attractive gameplay. It may not appeal to everyone, but it's certainly one of those games that have to play once in your life.

Majora's Mask 3D is the most powerful and thorough remastering we've played in the Zelda franchise. Each corner of Termina has been revamped with an unusual sense of thoughtfulness and love to its fans. Finally, the wait was worth it.

It´s not one, but two great platformers for Nintendo Switch. One of the greatest Wii U games (with improvement such as online multiplayer and photo mode) and a new Mario 3D game, not as big and ambitious as previous games, but equally fun and full of surprises.

Two years after its original release, Death Stranding is still a masterpiece, with a moving story, unforgettable characters and impressive visuals. New gameplay mechanics, missions and minigames don't add much to a game that already felt like a director´s cut.

Despite being a remake, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is one of the most outstanding games to come to Nintendo 3DS this year. It's also one of the best deliveries of a Fire Emblem title thanks to the inclusion of novelties such as exploration in 3D and classic elements of the saga.

Prince of Persia returns in style with an exceptional adventure that excels in everything it sets out to do, that does everything so well that it is difficult to find fault with it and that you never want it to end. After many years missing, the Prince has returned, but he has returned as the king of action and platform games.

To put it simply: Hades is Supergiant's best work to date and one of the best games of 2020. Top level gameplay, story, design, art, and soundtrack come together to form the most addictive roguelite ever. You can escape from the Underworld, but not from this game.

Death Stranding is Kojima´s most personal game. A complex and emotional work of art, which is not adequate for everyone because of the slow pace and the unusual gameplay. But once you get it, it´s something you will never forget.

As the song goes, “Donkey Kong is here” and he’s here ready to rock the boat. The gorilla’s new adventure boasts being one of the first must-have games for Nintendo Switch 2 and a title on par with the Japanese company’s greatest series. Samus returns with an adventure that it's an example of how all remakes should be, respecting the original game, honoring the classics and adding a pinch from the latest games. Samus Returns is not only a great Metroid game: is also one of the best titles for the Nintendo 3DS.

If it was already a special game on Wii U, now, thanks to all the changes, new features, and—above all—the epilogue, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is also one of the best JRPGs on Nintendo Switch. The jump to a platform of greater power such as Nintendo Switch seems to have played against Game Freak, but there is no denying that there are very good ideas and much needed changes. And, although it needs work, the Wild Area firmly establishes the foundation of the future of Pokémon.

Grounded 2 is almost the ultimate survival game featuring tiny teenagers who have lost their way in a park. Even in early access, InZOI convinces with the amount of options, editors and possibilities it offers at launch, even more so with the promise of more content and improvements, and launching at a reasonable price. If the studio continues to improve what it already has achieved, and takes care with the DLC pricing policy, yes, The Sims can tremble. [Early Access Score = 85]

Palworld is an entertaining game if you connect with its survival and monster-catching mechanics, and its gameplay loop. But, at the same time, it's easy to feel that it's not original, that it doesn't do anything you haven't seen before, and that it crosses some red lines by drawing inspiration from certain games.
