It's a pity that Kena: Bridge of Spirits did not get a big marketing campaign because it definitely deserves recognition. It's a lovely, well-constructed game for everyone. I really hope we'll see more of Kena in the future, and I wish more debuts like this for every studio.

Render Cube studio has prepared a very pleasant and relaxing game. Medieval Dynasty is like a distant cousin of Animal Crossing - an FPP game on a budget, without multiplayer, but available on PC. It's worth playing once version 1.0 debuts. If you're new to this game and genre, I assure you - it is a survival like no other.

Give Gamedec a chance if you want to experience something different in the isometric RPG genre. This is an original cyberpunk creation, a well-constructed experiment that may not look or sound the best, but allows you to become engrossed in the story of a detective spending time on investigations inside video games. And that's pretty cool.

Wildermyth is my personal game of the year. Sure, the final grade may not suggest that, but I just know that I'll be returning to this world many times. It's not perfect, but its strength lies in a simple concept, tons of meaning hidden between the lines and a lot of charm that stole my heart. I want more surprises like this.

Against the backdrop of previous installments, No More Heroes III seems somewhat underwhelming, but it still brings a bloody mayhem dripping with absurdity. Drastic changes to gameplay can be good, as proven by God of War. Unfortunately, King's Bounty 2 turns out merely an underwhelming experiment. In the past, we got a series of good tactical RPGs focused on combat, seasoned with some character building. Right now, we get a subpar imitation of The Witcher 3, where battles are just a minor addition.

Witcher: Monster Slayer is an app with a big potential that still waits to be properly realized. The gameplay is very engaging, but there needs to be a bigger goal - collecting trophies is cool, questing while walking is cool, but the lack of any group activity (raids?) is not cool.

Despite minor technical issues and sometimes underwhelming graphics, I had lots of fun. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a trip down the memory lane; to the times when I played the best Star Wars games for the very first time. Respawn Entertainment can easily put their game on the same shelf as Jedi Outcast. The Force is strong with this one.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is a truly meticulous remaster, one of the best of its kind. Fans of classic RTS that are not afraid of the archaic, core gameplay solutions should be thrilled to try out this gem.

It's time for a revolution. Need for Speed: Heat is definitely the best game in the current-gen series, but that's nothing to brag about. This actually should have been the first NFS for the 8th generation of consoles - then, perhaps, we would still have remembered it as something special. But at this point, the game basically just goes through the motions. Not great, not terrible.

Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones is a treat for die-hard Cthulhu fans. The thick, heavy atmosphere of Lovecraft's stories drips out of every pixel. It's a pity that I couldn't ignore tons of bigger and smaller bugs (abysmal game stability included) that halted all the fun.

Planet Zoo is a great tycoon made in the age where tycoon games seem extinct. And it's pretty much the best game for animal lovers. But not for every animal lover. Patient and talented builders will create new and improved parks, achieving new levels of satisfaction. Others (and by this I mean almost everybody) will become bored after a few hours.

I have found the same joy and emotions in Death Stranding that I had experienced years ago after finishing MGS3. If you are willing to visit Kojima-land with all of its flaws, Death Stranding will become a true experience that will push you out of your comfort zone and stay with you for a long time to come.

After all the "divisions" and "breakpoints," Modern Warfare seems to come from a different planet. The multiplayer harks back to the days of Battlefield 2 & 3, and the single-player campaign shows war in a mature and realistic way. Finally, we have a game that makes no allowances for a lower age rating. Call of Duty is back at the top - hands down, the best shooter on the market right now.

It's hard to say anything more about Luigi's Mansion 3, other than "it's cool." Not everything works perfectly, but it definitely is a very good game - weird, but good. It brings fun, but not emotions. It's memorable, but it doesn't make for a good game to talk about with friends. Still, if you own a Switch, you should be happy with the purchase.

There is much to complain about The Outer Worlds - it is mediocre from a technical standpoint, has tons of outdated features and its story and companions are acceptable at best. Fortunately, Obsidian's new title is a well-made RPG - this is a game for those who enjoy being a nameless hero who either saves the world or destroys it without any reason whatsoever, wasting time on pointless side-quests just for the XP.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is huge and quite scenic at times. Unfortunately, the world is bland and empty, the mechanics are flawed, and the gameplay is more irritating than fun. The developers have cobbled together too many things, without fully realizing any of them. If you want a spec-op experience, go back to Wildlands - the last true Ghost Recon installment. Breakpoint is the first game of the Ulbimate genre by Ubisoft - an empty shell with microtransactions.

Warsaw does not have an engaging story and compelling characters; the AI is lackluster and all the work we do seems to have no impact on the uprising. It's a pity that this, overall quite good Darkest Dungeon-clone, is downright frustrating so often. Questionable decisions from the developers denied Warsaw's path to glory.

Wanderlust is a novelty video game. While it does use some mechanics known from more typical games, you need to keep one thing in mind if you want to give it a chance (which you should): this is first and foremost a story about travelling, in which feelings play the central role.

Nintendo once again reaches back to the past to bring back one of its best games - the mobile adventures of a certain warrior in a green outfit. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is basically a brand new game that generates tons of fun even without the cult surrounding the series. If not for some technical issues, it would have been perfect.

FIFA 20 introduces a hefty amount of novelties and pretty much all of them are successful - especially the Volta can give tons of fun. Unfortunately - the biggest flaws that have existed in the series for years are still here - painfully schematic gameplay doesn't promote creativity, and the artificial intelligence doesn't deserve the name. These elements render each FIFA a much less compelling experience.

The Surge 2 is a solid game focused on combat - the fighting is superb, enjoyable and never becomes boring. The world is interesting, the technical aspect of the game was done competently (although there are some minor issues), and the level design, which was the most frustrating part of the previous game, was sorted out, too. About the biggest pitfall of the game is that it's a notch too easy for some.

Borderlands 3 is a terrific looter-shooter, one of the best out there, among the best in history. The game focuses on the most important thing - the gameplay. Shooting provides tons of fun and a gigantic arsenal of weapons keeps boredom at bay. It would be pretty much perfect, if not for the technical pitfalls - the game needs fixing.

What you feel after completing Children of Morta is not the regular nostalgia after finishing a great hack'n'slash-roguelite hybrid - it's the feeling of leaving you family and the safety of your home. A splendid game.
