Definitely a competent shooter, but fails to exceed in any one department. Everything about it feels incredibly average, and the difficult challenge available is the only thing I can see really appealing to gamers that enjoy the genre.- Gaming Age

The offline modes of Sega GT Online are completely intact and even deeper than before, with more cars and tracks, so at $20 it's a fantastic deal if you haven't already played it. But if, instead, you're looking for the best online racing game, Sega GT Online just isn't it.- Gaming Age

I had a hard time pulling myself away from the RoC mode, even though my instincts were telling me I was tired of playing it. It has that kind of affect on you, even though it's only a slightly above average race engine.- Gaming Age

Not that I'm a masochist, but crashes are a reality in racing, lets give the player a reason NOT to crash instead of getting away with poor decisions.- Gaming Age

I would suggest checking out Dissidia Final Fantasy NT if you’ve played the other Dissidia titles, but I’d temper your expectations when it comes to content. You’ll blow through the story mode quickly enough, and then you’ll just be left with a pretty sub-standard online experience that is definitely in need of some work. The stripped out RPG elements from the previous Dissidia titles really do this entry a disservice, and I think hewing too closely to NT’s arcade roots was a bad call. Still, I can’t help but feel there’s something worth playing here, even if it’s not the best Dissidia game to date.- Gaming Age

Mario Super Sluggers really doesn't innovate the baseball experience. It's more of an extension of the GameCube version, with slightly improved visuals (16x9 support) and decent audio.- Gaming Age

There's definitely something to be said about a game that will allow you to hijack a helicopter in midair, eject from said helicopter, drop kick another one, and then snatch the rockets from a third to lay waste to a number of tanks and mutants below you. It's just a shame about all the other stuff you have to do in between.- Gaming Age

While the basic gameplay concepts are put to good use, poor design muddies what potential there was. If you're a die-hard Sanrio fan, though, this is definitely worth a playthrough.- Gaming Age

For the price, and I stress that, Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer is an fun little side scrolling shoot-em-up. It's not quite in the same league as Konami, Treasure or Cave shooters or the like, though it has it's place. 2D side scrolling shooters are sort of a lost art these days, so it is nice to have a new game in the genre, and a flashy high definition one at that.- Gaming Age

Is Kinduo a terrible game? Definitely not – like I said, it’s cute enough, and it’s not objectionable so much as it’s short and easy. If that’s all you’re after, go for it, but there are much better puzzle-platformers out there to be had.- Gaming Age

All together Viva Pinata: Party Animals is a decent entry into the franchise, but nothing that will keep you entertained for very long. In short bursts it can be a lot of fun, and it's kid friendly appeal will make quite a few parents very pleased.- Gaming Age

All in all, Uno for the Nintendo Switch isn’t all that exciting. It loads a little slowly. Visually it’s solid but not spectacular. But it’s also Uno, which doesn’t really need any of that to make things work. It’s a solid representation of the classic card game with enough new to make things interesting.- Gaming Age

Game play is where Driv3r really falls short. The controls are a bit fidgety and on the loose side. This is especially noticeable on foot, as it just plays so awkwardly. No matter what control scheme you choose, it just never feels comfortable.- Gaming Age

Admittedly, the good-natured dialogue isn’t enough to lift Revenant Dogma out of the realm of your standard RPG — not when such hefty portions of it are devoted to telling instead of showing. But that’s Kemco for you: RPGs that do little things here and there very well, but that, on the whole, don’t do anything spectacular.- Gaming Age

I’m sure that with plenty of patches, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition could reach a point where it becomes worth revisiting these games, but at this point in time, that seems a long, long way off.- Gaming Age

Gunning down wave after wave of Dwergers was oddly fulfilling, though not enough to warrant a purchase. No matter how you slice it, the game is far too short - the game clock read 2:37 when I beat it.- Gaming Age

In the big scheme of things, though, none of these are horrible, game-breaking flaws. They're run-of-the-mill flaws, which makes perfect sense: Sky Force Anniversary is, above all else, a run-of-the-mill game.- Gaming Age

There are definitely some hurdles you'll have to get over to enjoy this game, but there is certainly fun to be had. For me it was the strategic, puzzle-like single player mode, but for others it may be the ability to alter decks and play against online opponents.- Gaming Age

The story here is exactly what you would expect from one of the creators of The Banner Saga. It is clear enough and interesting enough to keep you reading and coming back for more. The art follows suit and is a beautifully drawn world with characters that manage to convey a lot of emotion on the screen. Cutscenes are few and far between, but are always enjoyable. This is not a great game by any stretch, but you can clearly see the framework for one and with a little less grinding and some more mechanics at play I could see this being a truly special sim. As it stands, it is just a good, fun 9-15 hours depending on how you play.- Gaming Age

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is a dull, uninspired action RPG that never rises above mediocrity, and unless you really want to waste 20+ hours on something that’s totally generic, I don’t see why you’d want to bother.- Gaming Age

Even with all these flaws, it’s hard not to root for Night Gate, even if just a little. Maybe it’s because it’s overflowing with ambition, maybe because it’s hard not to compare it to that other, much more prominent vampire game that flopped just as spectacularly – whatever the reason is, as flawed as Night Gate is, there’s enough here that’s interesting that if you can accept all kinds of imperfections (and to be clear, there are a lot of imperfections here), it’s kind of fun in its own way.- Gaming Age

I'm not sure, however, that some pretty graphics and an okay story are enough to make Demon Gaze worth picking up. I suppose if you're a fan of dungeon crawlers that feel like Doom coupled with slow-moving turn-based action, then there might be something here worth your time, but otherwise? You're probably better off just getting Conception II.- Gaming Age
