Sky Force Anniversary isn't a game for everyone: if you want something that'll change your life, look elsewhere. If, however, you want something that delivers superb gameplay and addictive action, then this is certainly for you.

In the big scheme of things, though, none of these are horrible, game-breaking flaws. They're run-of-the-mill flaws, which makes perfect sense: Sky Force Anniversary is, above all else, a run-of-the-mill game.

This game was a surprise to me, I think I got this as a PS+ freebie and just recently checked it out. This is essentially a 2D topdown shooterThis game was a surprise to me, I think I got this as a PS+ freebie and just recently checked it out. This is essentially a 2D topdown shooter with bullet hell elements which reminds me of arcade classics like 1942 or River Raid.
While at the first impression it seems very repetitive, the more you play it the more you appreciate it: With each try you get money to buy upgrades which will enable you to get further into the game, and I found it a quite difficult game, with the upgrades it slowly gets easier. You earn medals with every objective you achieve and unlock more levels.
I think it is a pretty good, addicting game, which motivates you to play more if you give it an honest chance.
