It’s so wholly indebted to the past, it never tries to do anything new. Sure, it looks a little cleaner, and I suspect the controls are a little smoother, but there’s nothing here that suggests it’s aware of any developments in gaming post-1995. There’s barely even a story holding it all together — it’s just all nostalgia, all the time. Obviously, if that kind of nostalgia speaks to you, then you’ll probably find plenty to enjoy in Project Warlock. But if you want anything more than reheated Doom, you’re better off looking elsewhere, because you won’t find it here.- Gaming Age

Given the enduring popularity of Sonic over the years – even with a couple of missteps along the way – it seems like there are plenty of people who will value getting a chance to play these games with fresh eyes and from a different perspective. If you’re one of those people, then Sonic Origins absolutely makes it worthwhile to revisit these classics.- Gaming Age

CYGNI: All Guns Blazing is a very surprising release. These kind of games usually aren’t done well enough to garner attention from today’s gamers, but Konami really hit it out of the park with this one. It can be difficult and seem a little unfair at times, but that is what makes a great vertical shooter. The challenge is real here, and you feel accomplished when you finally make it through that difficult area. If you are a fan of these classic style, vertical scrolling shooters, or just looking for a solid challenge, then CYGNI: All Guns Blazing has you covered. Definitely check this one out anyway you can, you won’t be disappointed.- Gaming Age

After many tries, I did eventually find my way to and through the final boss, and all I wanted to do was do it again. I suppose in a lot of ways, that’s just the nature of roguelike games. They often offer a near bottomless replay value thanks to the “structured but random” structure of the format. This combined with the joy of bobbing your head along and clicking when you do so makes the experience a ton of fun and feel great. The quantity of content isn’t huge, but for $20 USD, I certainly think it is well worth the money.- Gaming Age

The gameplay is easily as deep and challenging as "Links" and "Tiger Woods." Those games are traditional, while Outlaw Golf is irreverent and usually bawdy enough that it's best avoided by the faint of heart.- Gaming Age

Even lacking a bit of polish, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is an impressive piece of work especially for PlayStation fans and those fond of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros series. It's fun and easy to get into, and offers enough local and online multiplayer fighting action to keep PS3 and PS Vita players interested for quite some time.- Gaming Age

I’m not going to spoil anything, but between the myriad of weapons, Lo’s hilarity, the collectables/secret areas, and the simple but effective story, you’ll actually be pretty motivated to continue playing to the end, which says a lot about the game’s entertainment value.- Gaming Age

I definitely think Culdcept Revolt is a neat game, and worth checking out on 3DS. There definitely aren’t a lot of games out there that emulate the experience of a deck-building CCG, and certainly none that employ the other board game elements that the Culdcept series does. If you’ve ever been curious about the series, I would certainly suggest starting here.- Gaming Age

I really wanted to like Armello, but it just has too much going on to keep me focused and also keep me interested. I just wanted the king to die already, and I didn’t care much if I was the one doing the killing.- Gaming Age

A complete package. It combines some fine storytelling, great presentation values on every level, interesting puzzles, and great platforming to make for a fun ride that doesn’t leave too soon or overstay its welcome.- Gaming Age

A far better Prince of Persia title than we've seen in years. I'm not sure that I would place it on a level with Sands of Time, but it's easily the second best 3D Prince of Persia title to date.- Gaming Age

The killer with this game is the price tag. Despite having crisp HD visuals, the game is, somewhat understandably, so similar to other iterations that owning more than one copy is completely unnecessary... unless you're addicted. In all honesty, the same can be said about most puzzle games, but where Bejeweled 2 differs from its competitors is that it really hasn't changed at all.- Gaming Age

Despite some issues, it’s hard to suggest not playing Minecraft Dungeons, considering the low entry price on most platforms, and the fact that it’s free on Xbox One via Game Pass if you’re already subscribed. It’s a fun take on a traditional Action-RPG that utilizes the Minecraft charm really well and will make for a fun time, especially if you can get a friend or two to tag along with you.- Gaming Age

Mario Party 3 should absolutely not be bought for the one player mode...For those that are looking for a fun multiplayer game, this one certainly fits the bill. It's easily the best Mario Party game yet with more events and mini-games than ever before.- Gaming Age

While not as packed or well known as some of the previous SEGA AGES releases, G-LOC Air Battle is still a great addition to the lineup. If you like After Burner and Out Run, then you will feel right at home here. New players can also pick this one up and get the hang of it right away. It’s not a must own, but more of a quick pick up and play game. If you are looking for dogfight action found in games like Ace Combat, you aren’t going to find it here. Just a simple Arcade quarter-muncher designed to challenge and sometimes frustrate you. I say try it out, you may like it.- Gaming Age

Caverns of Mars: Recharged originally struck me as a strange choice for this treatment. I remain under the impression that many gamers out there may not be familiar the original game all that well, but it turns out, that will not matter. Even if you’ve never played the original, this updated version is strong enough to stand on it’s own with no need to fall back on a legacy. This is one of the more addicting Recharged games to be released in this line, and I can highly recommend this to anyone that likes a simple and fun challenge. A great “pick-up and play” title that will take sometime to master.- Gaming Age

Still, despite its issues, I mostly enjoyed my time with Outriders, and with a few more updates and tweaks I think it’ll be at a point where I’d like to go back and play more of the end-game content or roll another character class. I’d say it’s a harder sell at full price for $60 right now, but it’s more of a no-brainer to try out if you have the option to do so on Xbox platforms via Gamepass.- Gaming Age

Those who had a blast with Pursuit Force will likely also very much enjoy the sequel, as it's more of the same. If you haven't played the first game however I'd almost recommend going for that version before going "Extreme".- Gaming Age
