It’s really hard to enjoy Draugen when it all feels like it’s a collection of nods to other, better games. A game shouldn’t make you want to play other games, yet most of the time I spent with Draugen I was wondering about whether it was too soon to go back and play Gone Home or What Remains of Edith Finch. If you’ve never played those before, this won’t seem nearly as derivative — but that’s more an argument for playing those other games than it is for playing Draugen.- Gaming Age

I would certainly recommend checking out Kong: Survivor Instinct when you get a chance. It’s a fun way of making use of the Legendary roster of characters without actually putting you in control of Kong, Godzilla, or the rest. I was far more impressed with it than I expected to be, and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by it too.- Gaming Age

Killing Floor 2 only does one thing, and it does that one thing very well. Intuitive controls, good graphics and a stellar soundtrack all make for some awesome, Zed killing fun. It is easy to get burnt out on however if you aren’t a die-hard fan or don’t have a dedicated team of players. The room for growth here is huge, with the possibility of future modes, new bosses, new classes and double experience weekends to help move through a class faster, but as of right now it is just a very good, single experience.- Gaming Age

So while it's got enough faults to keep it from being a GOTY contender for most, it's still the best Tomb Raider title I've ever played, and I'm really curious to see what's next for the franchise once again.- Gaming Age

It’s the kind of sequel that gamers look for, just as if you were to see a great horror film and then anxiously await the next installment to get all the answers.- Gaming Age

Overall I think Awesomenauts is a really solid, fun take on a genre that hasn't seen much face time on consoles. I really hope that despite the issues with the publisher Ronimo has a chance to support the game with future DLC, because it's a title that could easily be built off of for months to come. It's a game that definitely warrants the awesome part of its title, and even if you've never jumped into MOBA games before, Awesomenauts makes a pretty good place to start.- Gaming Age

Anthology has a mesmerizing quality about it. Once I started playing and listening to some of the old '80s tunes, it just became real comfortable to keep going.- Gaming Age

Then again, as Actual Sunlight reminds players very early on, "This game is not a game: it's a portrait." To some extent, that feels like an easy out for the game, a way for it to suggest that its broader statement is more important than how that statement is conveyed, thereby rendering it immune to criticism. But at the same time…okay, sure, I'll buy that.- Gaming Age

This is the sort of game that needs to be experienced, rather than played — and if you’re looking for the perfect time of year to do that, it’s right now, so you’d better hurry up and get on it.- Gaming Age

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is one impressive achievement, and probably would be even if it wasn’t developed as bombs were raining down on the developers’ homes.- Gaming Age

I still think it's a game that's worth checking out, simply because the combat is pretty great, making fantastic use of the level design, cover system, and slow down ability. Combine that with some legitimately challenging AI, and a lot of the big firefights will give you a great sense of accomplishment.- Gaming Age

Even if you don't know who these players are, don't follow college sports, but you do want a great baseball experience, MVP 06 NCAA Baseball fills the void, at least until the big boys start the new season. At only 30 bucks, you would be a fool to pass this up.- Gaming Age

Needless to say, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is just as fun as the first three games in the series. It doesn’t break any new ground, but it doesn’t have to. If you want a game where you can take over a map by punching your enemies through buildings, you’ll get precisely that right here, and that couldn’t make me happier.- Gaming Age

All in all, it was a fun trip though hell, even with one circle being lackluster and the game feeling rather short, I still have no issues or moral objections to recommending Dante's Inferno for fans of this genre.- Gaming Age

My biggest complaint about Infinite Space is that while the game gives you tons of options when it comes to customization, and provides a pretty unique battle set-up, it does an awful job of explaining any of these elements to you.- Gaming Age

Donut County is short. It has little to no replay value. It feels like it squanders a great deal of its potential. And yet, Donut County is still one of the best games I’ve played this year. You may only get a few hours out of Donut County, but they’re a few great hours.- Gaming Age

I ended up finding Battle Chasers: Nightwar to be a bit of a mixed bag. I love seeing the concept of Battle Chasers come back, and I think Nightwar does a pretty good job of continuing the Battle Chasers story. I absolutely love getting more of Joe Madureira’s character designs and artwork on display here, and I think the classic turn-based RPG approach makes a lot of sense. But there is definitely room for improvement here, and unless you’re petty enamoured with the classic style of RPG mechanics, you might burn out a little too soon with Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Ideally some things will be fixable by patches, but this wasn’t quite the home run I was hoping for.- Gaming Age

I wouldn’t say I ever actively disliked any moment of my brief time with the game. The camera was occasionally annoying, but it never got too much in the way. There were a couple of jumps that were hard to judge based on the shifting perspective, but they were never impossible. Etherborn offers a pleasantly unmemorable hour or so, and if you don’t mind a game that’ll be out of your memory shortly after you’ve finished it, you could do a lot worse than experience it’s Escher-inspired trippiness.- Gaming Age
