netjakWith a ton of great games that still hold up to todays standards, as well as all the extras and the little touches that show that Anthology was lovingly crafted as opposed to hastily slapped together, as many similar collections tend to be, its hard to find any reason not to recommend it.
-
This, folks, is a classic compilation done right. The emulation is damn near spot-on.
-
A ridiculous variety of games coupled with hundreds of Easter eggs and other bells and whistles. It is easily the best such collection to come along yet.
-
It's amazing how well some of these games stand up. Yes, they're absolutely nothing to look at, but the gameplay in a lot of the cases is just as addictive and compelling today as it was 20 years ago.
-

-
The sheer number of playable games and unlockable items and the slick production values make it a great value for any gamer with an interest in the roots of console gaming as we know it.
-
Cheat Code CentralSure they are the forefathers of today's Grand Theft Autos and MechAssaults, but I don't crap in an outhouse like my great grandpappy did more than 100 years ago.

KyleP.Dec 19, 2002It's good for the nostalgia, but that wears away quickly and then you are stuck with a bunch of ancient Atari games.
