What really keeps this game from being a success is the issue of length. The main story isn’t particularly long, and though there are side missions to do for either faction, these aren’t nearly as engaging as the story missions.

It isn't necessarily a bad game, it’s not exactly the kind of game that’ll keep you riveted for hours on end, either.

Black can be summed up in one phrase. One dimensional. It plays like a great action movie, with a few problems, and literally doesn't give you anything but that.

Although entertaining enough initially, it becomes repetitive rather quickly and once the story lines are finished, the bulk of the game’s appeal will be too.

My one complaint with this game is the flashing text. If you don’t have a 2nd player, the game continuously flashes ‘Insert Controller’, which can’t be turned off.

This title isn’t what I’d call really good, but it’s a satisfying pickup if you are a serious Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex fan, otherwise I’d say pass.

A drastically improved game from their last effort, but still falls short of appealing to a wide audience range.

A really cool feature of this game is that you can link up with another person who owns the game and take them on with the decks you've built while playing solo. This really adds a ton to the replayability of the game.

The true travesty in Quake 4 is the multiplayer functionality. Almost regressing, Quake 4 only supports 8 player multiplayer games, doesn’t support game browsing, and generally takes forever to get you into a ranked game match.

I wasn’t impressed much by the game’s visuals. They don’t seem to offer much beyond any other game, unless you like drab pre-rendered backgrounds and some remarkably not-stunning character designs.

Worms 4 Mayhem won't rock your world with its refinement and it won't keep you on the edge of your seat with excitement, but it's certainly an entertaining and interesting diversion, if nothing else.

The Bouncer is more cut-scenes than fighting. It is very difficult to get into the flow of the game when you have a two to three minute fight sequence and then stop and watch a five minute cut scene before another two to three minute fight sequence.

It won’t keep those with short attention spans entertained, however, as this game requires patience and has only limited action.

Entertaining throughout, but rarely exceptional.

It is so easy to die in this game that you may not notice you’re dead until after you realize you’ve been shot at.

Unfortunately, the only thing I can say that really held true for my gameplay experience is that THAW didn't stand out to me.

Personally, I would have liked a slightly more complex gameplay but what’s here works well enough.

While Ape Escape 3 provides for an entertaining time, its age is showing through, even with the charming sheen a large army of monkeys helps create.

This is the Dynasty Warriors of mech games, and much like how that franchise is solidly enjoyable, so goes Armored Core.

The in-game music and sounds are horrid and repetitive; I played with the sound off after a few minutes of bad sampling and nauseating theme music.

A passable game, but take away the hardly seen women and vast supply of real world car equipment and you are left with a sub-par racer.

If Monolith could have tied the level design and action more closely to a real storyline, worked to smooth the engine a little, and created a few new types of monsters, Blood might have risen another notch or two up the 3D food chain. As it stands, the game is a little too uneven to be successful.

It follows the Harvest Moon formula to the letter, and that ultimately makes it just as good as previous installments in the series.

There isn’t so much gameplay here that you can’t beat it in a couple of days, and the fact that the levels aren’t completely free open really reduces the game’s sense of scale.

It’s bigger and better, yes, but still essentially the same game – a boon for some and a whole bunch of “boos” for others.

The pack in mic that comes with the game is pretty sharp and sturdy, although it's not like you have a choice since there aren't any alternatives on the GameCube.

First, I had a problem actually singing and performing the songs well, and second, I managed to cheat my way through most of the songs by humming really loudly.

Vietcong 2’s weak single player is balanced out by a fun, diverse multiplayer experience. It’s not Counter-Strike, but it has a gritty, small world feel to it that will appeal to the multiplayer fans out there.
