The addition of expansion sets raises the total card count to over 300, but it is the small improvements that bring life to the game and make it more worth playing.
-
It does play a bit slow at times, but building a powerful deck during the game is fairly easy.
-
As with first version of Duel Masters, do not buy this game expecting much more than duels and card management.
-
A really cool feature of this game is that you can link up with another person who owns the game and take them on with the decks you've built while playing solo. This really adds a ton to the replayability of the game.
-
If, on the other hand, you enjoy this type of genre, it's still a solid card game, albeit no substitute for playing with real cards.
-
Sorry, Wizards; we know what you're up to, and we want to let you know: Try harder next time, and you just might make off with a bit of cash in the end.
-
Nintendo PowerA tutorial lets you in on the game's nuances, and numerous tournaments provide chances for you to win the game's 300 cards - a good spin for duelists. [Jan 2005, p.139]
