The Bouncer is more cut-scenes than fighting. It is very difficult to get into the flow of the game when you have a two to three minute fight sequence and then stop and watch a five minute cut scene before another two to three minute fight sequence.

This is an ambitious series of games targeted and, who knows, if they do well enough, maybe later versions will add a hint of a third dimension.

Graphically, Blazing Angels is actually much less impressive in motion than the screenshots would imply.

A really cool feature of this game is that you can link up with another person who owns the game and take them on with the decks you've built while playing solo. This really adds a ton to the replayability of the game.

The game explores some good new gameplay techniques, like fighting with the right analog stick. Even with the innovations, there is still enough holding the game back from greatness.

A passable game, but take away the hardly seen women and vast supply of real world car equipment and you are left with a sub-par racer.

It's an average survival horror game without any real scares. Sure the controls are nice and there are a couple of minor surprises, but the game feels dated and imagine less.

Presents a lackluster challenge until you get far enough along to fight the more advanced enemies, for which you may actually have to work for a win.

Although entertaining enough initially, it becomes repetitive rather quickly and once the story lines are finished, the bulk of the game’s appeal will be too.

A game tailor made for action junkies and fans of "The Matrix," a couple of control changes and a slightly easier learning curve might have pushed this one into the "Must buy" category, but it is a solid title.

Although Legacy Online does adequately create an experience that can survive offline while being challenging and rewarding when online, the basis for the game isn’t going to appeal to a broad audience.

The environments and enemies will meet most expectations but there are times when slow down becomes a factor.

Much improved graphics. The player models and stadiums received a much-needed facelift with a much higher level of detail and color.

The multiplayer modes make up, in part, for the mistakes of the single player mode – stripping down the game to the essentials of battle – but there still just isn't enough game here to keep you occupied for very long.

It is still a conventional RTS game and has issues with longevity as it can become boring and repetitive, but with the thirty missions and with multiplayer capabilities, you should get your money's worth.

A lot of fun. I just wish there was not so much going on all the time because I really felt out of control through the majority of the races.

This game is an excellent title for someone suffering from attention deficit disorder, but if you're looking for a game with lots of replay value, shop elsewhere.

Gretzky NHL ’06, in just about every way, is a spitting image of its big brother counterpart on the PlayStation 2. It suffers the same flaws but it also has the same achievements, though the former outweighs the latter.

Other games offer[] more modes of play, better graphics, and more in-depth gameplay.

Dark Motives has somehow turned a subject ripe with gaming potential into something that is pure process and no fun, forcing you to spend all of your time doing the most mundane parts of your favorite adventure games with little or no reward.

Although not one the best games of the year, it still has a number of redeeming qualities and if you’re a fan of either Star Wars or third person shooters, you won’t be disappointed.

A fairly decent adventure title with good puzzles and a somewhat gripping storyline, but mired down with a few flaws in execution.

The multi-tiered levels and layered fighting system helps create a game that, while harder to master, is certainly more rewarding to play.

The Xbox controller, even if you’re using the S-type controller, isn’t suited for a game like this, which really needs six thumb buttons. You can compensate with the trigger sticks, but not well.

The most fun I’ve had in quite awhile is playing the Rivals pick-up games – a fast moving, no-sticks-barred, 3-on-3 game of ice hockey on a little ice pond out in the middle of nowhere.

If you've been hacking and slashing your way through similar games like Baldur's Gate and Champions of Norrath, Untold Legends 2: The Warrior's Code won't blow you away. It's still very much the same kind of game, but that doesn't mean its any worse.

This game really lacks the small things that make you feel like you are in a football game.

Full of great gameplay and action, great graphics, great sound, great control, and great frustration.

While the story and setting are interesting, the actual game isn't that compelling, nor is it well done.

Not only is it hard to actually go out and complete the objectives, but finding your way around the levels to figure out what you have to do is also a huge pain since accessing the map doesn’t pause the game, giving enemies ample opportunity to riddle you with bullets.

A clunky fighting system which doesn’t seem to rely on tactics at all and camera angles that make gameplay at times both hard to master and frustrating to endure, hamstring what could have been a fantastic game.

The fact that I can’t give you a numerical value for 'annoying game design', I’ll have to settle with saying this game is Not Recommended.

It is challenging and it can take some time to get comfortable with the controls, but it’s also refreshing to see a simulator that doesn’t throw away the first missions by giving simple goals or weak enemies.

Older kids and most adults will tire of the gameplay, but young children will think the game is cool with its movie cutscenes and easy controls.

One glaring problem is the 165 page manual. While holding an interesting background storyline for the game, material inside is poorly organized and not extremely helpful.

Practically an RPG in and of itself, I liked how unique and replayable [the snowboarder mode] was.

Combined with repetitive gameplay where you march, fight, march, fight, rearm, again and again, this game can get pretty boring at times.

If you absolutely loved the arcade version, don’t buy this game. You will be so disappointed that you will want to skeet shoot the disc itself.

Probably isn’t going to satisfy those who are looking for an in-depth stealth game requiring strategy and calculating maneuvers.

Its sub-par AI made it boring. I found myself pushing to get through each level as fast as possible (which is pretty fast against the unimaginative enemy).

The visual effects are okay and the different environments are diverse but not outstanding (almost exactly the same quality as the PS2 release).

A downside to the game is that the levels are very tunnel like in their lay out. The inside levels are all fairly linear and the outside levels are typically in the recesses of huge trenches, so you don’t do a lot of meandering. Although the level design is lacking in some ways, the game developers have done a good job of finding strengths in the maps.

Starts out with a bang, but then quickly falls to a whimper -- that whimper being the controls. Never in all my life would I have thought it possible to make a game that is so impossible to control with any degree of efficiency.

All in all, the biggest flaw in this game is that it’s a really sparse on game options, making it an extremely light gaming experience.

While IGI-2: Covert Strike may not have the refined stealth elements of "Splinter Cell" or the same intelligent action of "Halo," it blends the two half-way decently into an entertaining spectacle of espionage action.

The biggest flaw that I experienced while playing was the simple matter of the gameplay, as no matter how fast you go or how well you fly, a great deal of winning the race simply rests in picking the faster aircraft and getting fairly lucky.

Gaming fans will absolutely hate Alias, seeing through its nearly transparent plot and shoddy gameplay in an instant, but fans of the show will likely enjoy the chance to take on the roll of their favorite character even if it’s in a bad game.

A well-realized, excellent, and more importantly, fun adventure title.

Like "Crazy Taxi," this game is fun for a few minutes at a time, but it’s not an engrossing experience. I liked it a little better than I did "Crazy Taxi," because I am a Simpsons fan.

The thing that bothered me most was the way you can actually use the right stick on the controller to change the pitch of your truck in mid-air. I am sorry, but that is just way too much for me.

It is possible to lose track of the hours spent tending to your zoo. In our view, this is the base measure of a successful strategy game.

In essence, it seems for every good point to the game there's also a negative counterpoint in the same category.

Too bad they couldn’t clean up the putting engine and put some more thought into the touch pad sensitivity.

One major problem is the lack of strategy required at what initially appears to be a game ripe for strategy. A one-dimensional approach can be adopted and applied to almost any circumstance as you attempt to overwhelm your enemy.

Not as innovative as "Suikoden III" was, but then again it does improve a number of weaker aspects such as combat control that held back the last release.

Just another mediocre film knock off of a game, one good for only about an hour or two of light, mindless fun.

f you look at Lemony as a game targeted at a younger audience, it works well as the simple gameplay and story telling is probably going to appeal to that audience.

With nothing beyond the gameplay to support it, and weak gameplay at that, I can’t recommend Black & Bruised.

Ambitious almost to a fault, which is a bit of a shame since the core of the game, while conceptually promising, just didn’t get it right.

The story feels like it’s over before it really has a chance to get going. Most players will finish the game in about 7 hours.

Shows some promise with their Life mode and the graphics could even be overlooked but the control interface needs some work.

Vexx toes the party line for platform games but at least adds more style then most.

Might be a bit too streamlined and stylized for some, coming off as more simplistic than artistic, but I personally love it. P.N.03 makes you feel as if you're in control of a laser-toting ballerina with death at her fingertips, and that's all good in my book.

A respectable action-packed arcade game that will provide hours of entertainment. It’s certainly not the answer that hardcore flight-sim fans might have been hoping for, but then again, it doesn’t pretend to be.

While I originally left Planetside because of it’s balance issues and general stale nature, I’m happy to report that not only have changes in the last few months made the game much quicker on play (really, really good change, in my opinion), but have also tweaked the balance issues pretty damn good.

A medium of the road horror adventure that has unfriendly controls and a less then inspiring storyline but with slick graphics and spot-on audio, all of which disappoints because I could see how good this game might have been with minimal adjustments.

In everything but gameplay, this game is basically standard fare.

Only devout Batman fans and action gamers looking for a quick fix will find much appeal in Batman: Rise of the Sin Tzu.

The dragon gameplay makes a good gimmick, and the story is strong, but for gameplay, it only has a Dynasty Warriors hack and slash system backed up by good experience gain.

A middle of the line squad based game that fans are going to get enough out of. Others won't be as impressed and may not make it through.

Brings some interesting gameplay elements to the table, but the execution falls short and it ends up being simply average, along with a thousand other no-name action titles.

I can't figure out what made them decide to connect such a mediocre feature as the Virtual Voyager with such a strong game as "Elite Force."

With obvious devotion to its tried-and-true arcade game play, one thing is for sure -- it's still a lot of fun to play. If you're a fan of the series, you'll find a lot to like about this year's game.

Although some events are based on other gameplay tactics, as you’ll see, the entertainment value is generally low and the gameplay uninspiring.

It’s a little disappointing that the feature set is so thin but it does depend on what you were planning to get out of it.

A devilishly addictive blend of role playing game and button-bashing fighter. I found the game quite a bit of fun to play, but really didn’t have any nagging urges to return to it once I put it down.

Has what fans of first-person shooters would want, a simple goal, lots of exotic weapons and a skillfully rendered graphical environment in which to stack bodies.

Odama is a sheep in wolf's clothing. If it were truly weird, and perhaps a bit simpler, it could've been really fun. As it is, I feel like I'm playing the umpteenth reskin of an old pinball game that I picked up in the bargain bin.

It would have been nice to have stronger gameplay elements but the graphics and audio help to save The Incredibles from an unpleasant experience.

There's a significant amount of enjoyment to be had here, if you're of the mind to find it, but the more annoying events (those with poor control) really bring the rest of the title down for me.

The camera is a constant pain, general movement can be challenging at times, and even aiming can be extremely cumbersome.

A shallow, hyper-sexualized wrestling game that makes up its lack of finesse with an absurd amount of flash. It might be worth a rent to ogle the ladies, but beyond that, avoid it completely.

The most interesting part of the gameplay comes from the fact that you can use a time dilation feature that lets you freeze time, and by using a small mini-game like interface, unleash a multiple hit combo on any of your opponents.

A game that grows on you, the more you play it the more you will like it, unfortunately there are enough missteps early on to dissuade many players from sticking with the game and realizing its full potential.

This stable game gets it right but provides conventional gameplay, unimaginative graphics and a noticeable lack of depth.

It just feels like the same hacked out stuff that we've seen before. Lack of player choices and absurd overall difficulty don't serve well for impressing a player.

There are just too many problems with its core gameplay for it to be a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. In the end, Lords of EverQuest is a mediocre game in a sea of refined and polished strategy games.

The competitors in Tube Slider are brutal and extremely difficult to beat. Racing using these controls is nigh impossible at first and takes a while to get used to, resulting in an unappetizing first course of gameplay.

The Great One shoots!....and he misses.

The adventure game for hardcore adventure enthusiasts – it’s a long and tough trek, but a journey worth taking if you can look past the rough edges.

Above all, what Athens 2004 fails to do is capture the spirit of the Olympic games.

Loaded with gameplay bugs and substandard graphics and audio, there are plenty of better options available.

It's quick, simpler and more fluid game play.

Personally, it works for me as there’s just something about see enemy legions running down a hill side in formation and then charging into battle.

The graphics were decent and the game had it’s challenges; however, I would recommend this as a weekend rental.

It could've been a good title if it'd been tweaked more, especially in paying attention to the AI driving the opposition. But without that love, this is just another 'seen it 15 times this year' title.

It is best played in short doses because of its inability to hold the average player’s attention for no longer then 30 or 40 minutes at a stretch.

The problem is the game moves at an unreal rate and is extremely easy to get through. Most will easily finish the game with little difficulty as the linear style of the game makes the puzzles simple and require little thought to figure out.
