  1. Warning: Playing this game with these lovable characters --- will become addicting.
  2. SCEA has pulled this one off by sticking to a formula that works mixed with the greatness of the movie.
  3. Older kids and most adults will tire of the gameplay, but young children will think the game is cool with its movie cutscenes and easy controls.
  4. Just don't go expecting anything that will last longer than a few days before it gets relegated to that place under your bed where all the other monsters live...
  5. A deeply unsatisfying experience, although younger players may have some fun just running around as Mike and laughing at his crazy antics.
  6. More sophisticated players will likely find this 3D platformer to be too repetitive and easy.
  7. Fine for its intended audience. Simple gameplay with familiar heroes is enough to keep the little ones occupied for a while. Just don't expect anyone over the age of six to go ga-ga over it.

Don't expect anything amazing. But you'll still have a really nice and cozy time with this game.

    Rating:
    Gameplay: 4/5 - It's a solid collectathon
Level Design: 4/5 - Great. But some jumps across trees in the desert seem odd.
Soundtrack: 5/5 - Perfect for this experience
Story: 3/5 - Basic but works perfectly well.
Graphics: 4/5 - Pretty decent for PS1. Haven't aged that badly.
Length: 4/5 - Not too long but perfectly suitable.
Replay Value: 2/5 - None, other than getting Gold medals in every level.
Enjoyment: 5/5 - Had a lot of fun

    Overall rating: 31/40 => 7.75/10 => 8/10

Verdict: Loved it. But it's certainly not a must-play.

Scream Team" was one of my childhood games. Arguably one of the most important parts of my childhood, I had to go ahead and revisit the game. While it's not a piece of perfection and while it hasn't aged as well as games like "Super Mario 64" or "Super Smash Bros. Melee," I can say that, 13 years later, I still think that it's a pretty fun game.
"Monsters, Inc. Scream Team" works thanks to some fun, accessible gameplay, colorful visuals, catchy music and huge amount of replay value.
However, the game is not without it's flaws. The character models haven't aged as gracefully as the game itself, the game really lacks any kind of difficulty and the screaming of the kids, combined with the repetitiveness of the scares, can be kind of annoying.
With that said, "Monsters, Inc. Scream Team" is nowhere near perfect and hasn't aged as gracefully as some other games, but it's still an enjoyable title that should please kids and fans of the film.
Final rating: 8 out of 10 "Great"

Huh, this was actually pretty decent. This looks much better than the PS2 version of the game.
