Some of the game’s flaws can be overlooked but the checkpoint weapon bug is inexcusable and the nearly complete lack of enemy AI is essentially the equivalent of taking Doom’s enemies and making them forget to move forward.

This is a sad day for The King of Fighters. The combat is as taught as ever, but everything else is a comedic misinterpretation of “less is more.”

Ultimately My Sim Aquarium is a good diversion for youngsters that want to casually try their hand at taking care of fish. For adults the game may not be so fascinating.

"Nothing new" is the mantra for Legion Arena. It’s fun, has good strategy, is multi-player enabled, but really nothing new. Just another solid title from Strategy First.

In the end, if you are looking for a modern day Dungeon Keeper, this isn't it, whether or not Realmforge tried to design that game or not is immaterial.

Stay away from this game if you’re new to the series, and try to find yourself a copy of "Front Page Sports Baseball" or even "High Heat Baseball." I would recommend High Heat Baseball 2002 for your PC baseball simulation needs. Not only was the simulation aspect remarkable, but you could actually play the game as well.

While Crash's latest offering retains the same great sense of humor and voice acting the gameplay and technical issues drag down the entire package.

Folks who have been watching the show from the first episode won’t find any new answers about the island, and those used to a more robust adventure game experience will be put off by the boring, simplistic game play.

It's not exactly hard though, and within minutes the fighting action matches the story pace: boring.

It's not that War Rock doesn't have a good idea for gameplay direction, as the persistent ranking and economy is an idea that the genre has yet to fully explore. At the same time this direction has no momentum behind it and sometimes seems haphazard at best in its implementation.

That’s how I felt after playing the game: that I didn’t really do anything. I’m a big fan of the books – a bit less so of the films, and the games still fail to remotely live up to either.

It’s hard to tell whether Tokyo Beat Down is a nostalgic parody of a classic genre, or a hack-job beat-‘em-up with a satirical sheen of machismo to hide the blemishes. Unless you’ve never played the first game or just have to have the vocal and drum parts included, there’s almost nothing here you can’t get by looking for a cheap deal buying Guitar Hero II or III separately.

All these issues combined are ultimately why Seven Kingdoms: Conquest gives off the feeling of a game that was being pulled in too many directions at once during development.

A slightly below average game with some okay fighting action, a nice arcade mode if you're playing co-op and some adult situations that sometimes cross the line into the land of overkill.

Fans of Lucha Libre might enjoy seeing their favorite fighters in action, but even the most dedicated aficionado will find the turgid gameplay disappointing.

Asphalt 3D is nothing more than a checked box on the Nintendo 3DS launch lineup list. Apart from its genre there's nothing that makes it stand out in the launch library, and within its genre there's nothing that makes it unique. This game is entirely skippable unless you're desperate for a 3D arcade racer, but even then it's best to wait to see what else the 3DS has in store down the road.

The game claims to score brain development, but there is no baseline testing, so getting a high score at the start seems to invalidate the whole process. What are you being compared to when receiving a 100% score? In the end, this game lacks punch.

If you strip away the license and the voice acting what's left is a short, uninspired, linear action adventure game that has awkward execution.

The good news for fans of this anime series about futuristic air boarding and mech combat is that there is actually a decent story being told this time around. The bad news for the rest of us is that the gameplay is simply average and not very compelling in the grand scheme of things.

Fun can be had with many of the games in Summer Sports Paradise Island, especially when playing head-to-head, but the control issues will keep you from that “just one more game” feeling present in titles like Wii Sports.

Finally, the fact you can’t actually do anything to affect any of the game’s outcomes is somewhat ridiculous, and in the end makes it difficult to recommend.
