    All in all, Breeders Cup gives a nice introduction to the sport of horse racing, but only those willing to truly dive in and concern themselves with the more complex aspects of the game will be satisfied. Those that just want to climb onto the back of a horse and race will be left wanting more of a challenge.

    The gameplay is so easy and simplistic that it's just not any fun, the graphics are just plain bad, and the sound is positively laughable.

    Despite a variety of options, the gameplay turns out to be extremely limited since it's so easy to make money and quickly create the best stable possible.

    Perhaps the biggest design gaffe in the entire game is that you cannot quickly skip races to get to a race that contains one of your horses. There are weeks when you may not even have a horse running, but you still have to go to the track and manually "skip" each race.

    The races are simply formulaic and far too easy- if your horse matches up at all with the other horses, you are going to win as long as you can press the A button.

    If you like bet on races this is a good game. Other than that it's not up to the other horce racing game.

I won a match race against Ghostzapper with a 16k claimer the first day I got the game-it's that easy. I haven't played it up since the day I bought it.… Expand

    Utter waste of time. Considering that the Daily Racing Form logo is so prominently displayed you'd expect PP's (past performances) Utter waste of time. Considering that the Daily Racing Form logo is so prominently displayed you'd expect PP's (past performances) in DRF format instead of being displayed in such a manner as to make any handicapping of races a tiresome joke. Yeah, and the race outcomes don't make much sense - winners seem randomly chosen. Hate having to go through a full card of racing (skip skip skip skip) just to give your stable a week of training is dumb and boring. In the real world trainers have access to a 'condition book' which allows them to train toward specific races months in advance. Here you can only see races for which you're eligible one week in advance. With the NTRA allowing use of its name I'd really have expected a more challenging and realistic game. And, yeah, the business of being unable to name your horse is a drag.… Expand

    worst game ever. I think a person in the desert would rather hop on one leg than play this game, graphics are rubbish.
