Tormented Souls 2 builds on nostalgia for classic survival horror with tank controls. It succeeds in creating a strong atmosphere despite overwrought dialogue and poorly executed animations in the story cutscenes. It will primarily satisfy fans of B-movie horror, as well as those who once trembled through the early Resident Evil games. Some may even forgive the missteps in combat difficulty tuning, as high-quality puzzles and well-designed levels ultimately reward those who persevere.

When you take the solid foundations laid four years ago and enhance them with an engaging career mode, the ability to explore an even more detailed Earth, and marvel not only at intricately designed aircraft and their cockpits but also the surrounding environment, you get the most advanced simulator of today. However, this comes at the cost of high hardware demands and reliance on a stable internet connection, which directly impacts the quality of the experience, as well as the practical necessity of investing in a joystick. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 still isn’t a fully accessible game for everyone, but it continues to deliver breathtaking moments.

No man ever steps in the same cockpit twice, but if they do, the step will be a very hesitatant one. Codemasters have managed to return with honour, however, they've brought nothing new to the table, and by messing about with the time-proven mechanics they are losing their chances to win. This instalment is going to have a hard time in the hands of the original title fans, who still wear their rose-coloured glasses. However, if you are hungry for some racing, GRID 2 serves much better than you think.

Wargame was developed across the three installments, but always bit by bit. Nevertheless, the third one may be considered the actual top of the series. Navy might seem bizarre but as a company to land battles – it's working. For some of you this is going to be a catlike degradation of the arcade series, for the others it's going to be their first moment to grab their plane and let their dream come true. Unlike its previous instalment this shooter and tower defense game mix is focusing on a player and their character building. Therefore your hands are tied from the tower building perspective, and the title is counting on its cooperative multiplayer game. On the other hand, if you've never played the original instalment or you are not afraid of the changes, feel free to venture into Sanctum 2.

Tchia is an extremely fresh game, bringing a perspective from a very exotic region of the world. It’s beautiful to look at and to listen to and its story is quite well executed. Its systems are a bit dated, though, and there’s not much fun to be had if you’re not into wandering the map and exploring for yourself. The greatest delight is undoubtedly the discovery of a whole new culture of New Caledonia.

Not a game without its faults but what it needs to be doing, it does very well - namely the adrenaline-filled, headless ride down the hill.

Quantum Conundrum is original and a catchy logical game. However, the game can't deny a fact it was being made under the same hands as the first Portal installment. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't even cast a shadow over the Portal series - quite the contrary.

Technically there are not many changes, but the important core has remained: exciting cases, interesting characters, movie narrative, great atmosphere of the 1940s. L.A. Noire is a game like a few others, and despite some mistakes in a game design, the fun is same as it was six years ago.

Decent space RTS offers a funny single-player campaign, but needs a number of adjustments in multiplayer – especially with balancing.

This is a solid next-gen upgrade for a solid fighting game. It runs better but its biggest problems remain unsolved. I don’t really see it breaking through to become truly mainstream.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is the best detective game from Frogwares. It blends the open world of The Sinking City and an emotional story of a young genius and adds the beautiful environment of the city of Cordona. My only wish for next time? Get rid of the combat.

A solid piece of work with small cubes and a very positive attitude to the piece that takes itself too seriously.

A great sequel that is once again giving glory and pouring new blood to this legendary series. Heroes VI is a tribute to the finest titles of the series – a very good reason to play it.
