NHL 23 is another solid outing of EA Sports Hockey-Series. The gameplay sees minor improvements, that actually makes NHL 23 surpass ist predecessor. But overall the lack of real innovation is missing and therefore experienced players may give this one a pass.- GAMES.CH

Esoteric Ebb is just great. It’s not only clever regarding its gameplay but also its fantastically written dialogue. If you’re into a narrative roleplaying game in the vein of Dungeons & Dragons then Esoteric Ebb is an absolute must play.- GAMES.CH

Little Nightmares 3 delivers a hauntingly beautiful experience filled with emotion, atmosphere, and stunning design. While the puzzles and gameplay lack real challenge, its storytelling and mood make it an unforgettable journey — whether played solo or in co-op.- GAMES.CH

Thymesia may look like an Indie-Developer trying to do Bloodborne, but it ends up being more than that. Thymesia seamlessly blends the fast, often frantic combat of games like Devil May Cry with a more thoughtful approach, giving the players the tools to quickly leap between enemies, while strategically switching between light and heavy attacks, as well as flashy specials. While regular combat is often a fun power fantasy, the game truly shines in its boss fights, where two equally deadly warriors dance around each other parrying and trading blows. The only sore spot in the gameplay is that there isn’t already a Thymesia 2 to sink my teeth into.- GAMES.CH

MARVEL SNAP hits the right balance between accessibility and depth. Matches only last a few minutes, but with the right deck you might turn a losing match around in the last one or to turns. Monetization in the current state is also no problem, as there is no pay-to-win involved. So if you are looking for a new card battler to sink your teeth into, MARVEL SNAP is definitely worth checking out.- GAMES.CH

MIO: Memories in Orbit is a beautifully crafted and atmospheric Metroidvania that rewards exploration, patience, and skill. Its strong visual style, fair challenge, and smart progression systems make it a standout indie title. Fans of Hollow Knight: Silksong in particular will find a compelling and memorable sci-fi adventure here.- GAMES.CH

WWE 2K23 is another step forward fort he wrestling-franchise. 2K Games and Visual Concepts literally worked on every department and delivered a game that surpassed it already successful predecessor. Despite it's flaws, WWE 2K23 is great fun and the perfect game for the Road to Wrestlemania.- GAMES.CH

Wildfrost manages to be one of those "easy to learn, hard to master" type of games, as the core mechanics are simple enough, yet the game ramps up the difficulty substantially, so a lot of runs will take a bad turn quickly. It is a testament to the games gameplay loop that you always want to come back for one more round.- GAMES.CH

Dredge manages to pull the player in with its unexpectedly dark world and does not let go. It goes to show how far some good ideas can take a game that initially looks so basic and make it into something special.- GAMES.CH

Islands of Insight feels like the developers took the Korok challenges from the recent The Legend of Zelda titles and crossed them with The Witness. It’s a wonderful playground full of different kinds of puzzles, some deviously crafted into the environment itself. While there’s little story to latch on to and no real fail-state, the thrill of discovery has definitely kept us going far longer into the night than we thought possible. This review was tested before general multiplayer went live, therefore we can’t speak as to how well the MMO-like aspects blend into general gameplay.- GAMES.CH

The Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack unfortunately doesn't overhaul the graphics or improve any general gameplay aspects, but it does release the trilogy as a complete package. And this package includes fantastic new content such as all DLCs, updates, new playable characters, and our highlight: new episodes/content featuring various characters, each experiencing their own little adventures in the world of Ryza.- GAMES.CH

A new protagonist, a new environment, but the same engaging gameplay loop that players loved so much about the original game returns in this standalone expansion. If you have any interest at all in exploring and crafting, then Subnautica: Below Zero will absolutely scratch that itch.- GAMES.CH

Even in 2025, Hitman: Absolution's iPhone release is still a stealth game worth playing. The core loop of infiltrating and finding the best (or quirkiest) ways to eliminate your target are as fun as they were 13 years ago, when the game first came out. This assassin is worth carrying around in your pocket.- GAMES.CH

Atelier Sophie 2 picks up lovers of the genre and combines classic gameplay with a dynamic combat system that is very good for the game series. German subtitles should slowly become a must for the series in order to be really popular in German-speaking countries.- GAMES.CH

Afterlove EP is a mix of visual novel, rhythm game and a life sim that teleports us to the beautiful city of Jakarta. There we accompany Rama, a young musician who recently lost his girlfriend and is now trying to find his way back to normality after grief took over his life.- GAMES.CH

Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 doesn't change too much in terms of overall gameplay or presentation, but for the sequel to a game that could only really be criticized for being a tad short, that's not a bad thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our second trip through those tricky dungeons with all its new challenges and can easily recommend it for anybody interested in the puzzle genre.- GAMES.CH

With WWE 2K24, 2K Games and Visual Concepts are taking another small step towards the main wrestling match. The many detailed improvements, combined with the high recognition value and the scope of the game, make for an complete WWE package. However, WWE 2K24 is missing the big innovations.- GAMES.CH

Six years after the release of the original version for PS4 and PC, No Man's Sky has made the hyper leap into the switch dimension. The result is one of the best Switch ports and a masterstroke of programming. Sadly the multiplayer mode is missing in this version. If you can live with that, you’ll experience an excellent space exploration game set in a fascinating universe.- GAMES.CH

Great RPG skirmishes, depth of gameplay, ideas that still seem fresh and varied gameplay make Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven irresistible, and not just for retro fans. However, some elements such as a certain lifelessness of the game world and repetitive sequences are no longer really up to date. Whether you appreciate unique features such as the generation change or reject them outright is certainly a matter of taste.- GAMES.CH

In the aspects where it counts, Skate Story absolutely rules. It’s a joy to play once you get used to the controls, it oozes style, the vibes are tremendous and the soundtrack is out of this world. It suffers from the aforementioned control issues and its enormous weirdness might be a turn some people off but overall it’s just a genuine blast to play.- GAMES.CH

With its exciting story and characters, the next-gen worthy visuals and especially the great sense of humor we can warmly recommend Eidos Montreal's Guardians of the Galaxy not just for fans of the franchise. Just the fights are a little bit too chaotic for getting a strong feeling of control on the battlefields in sum.- GAMES.CH

While certain elements of Trials of Mana+ certainly show the original game's age, it captivates players with its 90s JRPG charme. This, in addition to the engaging story, the improved visuals and the fun game play loop make it a package that is still well-worth experiencing, even more than a quarter century after its original release.- GAMES.CH

If you look at Fitness Boxing 3 as a regular game, it is too less demanding especially concerning precision. But the game wants to be an interactive fitness coach and does pretty well as this. If you want to beat your inner demon for making sports, Fitness Boxing is a great and highly motivating choice for Switch owners. [Good]- GAMES.CH
