Oct 28, 2025Of all the Hitman games available on iOS, Absolution provides the best overall experience despite being a somewhat idiosyncratic chapter for the series.
-
Nov 4, 2025Even in 2025, Hitman: Absolution's iPhone release is still a stealth game worth playing. The core loop of infiltrating and finding the best (or quirkiest) ways to eliminate your target are as fun as they were 13 years ago, when the game first came out. This assassin is worth carrying around in your pocket.

Oct 15, 2025This all-time classic has great gameplay, looks good, and runs decently on mobile - but the controls aren’t always the easiest thing to navigate on a tiny iPhone like mine. I recommend that you consider using an iPad.

Oct 23, 2025It is reassuring to see a mobile game simply being a fully fledged game, and not a microtransaction-ridden free-to-play mess. Trust Feral to come up with the goods in this handheld Hitman: Absolution port because it has transitioned very well to the touch screen format. It isn’t without problems when played this way, but the range of customisation options is a welcome surprise that means most players can have a good time sneaking around and causing chaos. Try to hook up a gamepad for the best experience, but be prepared to dedicate yourself to each level, as the unfortunate save system demands it.

Nov 7, 2025Relying noticeably more on action, an automatic bullet time kicking in as you take aim with your silenced silver baller pistols, its colourful good looks and globetrotting look good on touchscreen, although its profusion of buttons are only really suitable for iPad. As ever with games that feature occasional frenzied action, a controller is your best bet. Its Achilles’ heel though, is that it doesn’t permanently save checkpoint data, so if you have to close the app and reopen it, you’ll need to restart the whole chapter from scratch, an egregious oversight for a mobile port with such long and involved missions.
