From the creators of the excellent Final Fantasy XIV the new single player entry of the franchise is nothing short of a triumph. Spectacular set pieces, intriguing storylines, one of the best love stories we have seen in any Final Fantasy to date and a great combat system are all working in tandem for an unforgettable experience.

Uncharted 4 remains to this day one of the best (if not the best) cinematic action-adventure games of all time and The Lost Legacy -though not as great- is a decent adventure. Both games aged remarkably well and look as beautiful today as the day of their initial launch. On top of that we have some major upgrades on the resolution and the frame rate that make them a must-have collection especially for those you haven't played them before.

It goes without saying that both Super Mario Galaxy titles are among the best 3D platformers ever made. Their level design remains fascinating even by today’s standards, and the gameplay is nothing short of pure fun. While the extra content in the remaster isn’t particularly noteworthy, it doesn’t diminish the overall excellence of these games.

The production values are sky-high. The graphics and the sound design is over the top. The addition of the Batmobile is great. But Rocksteady seemed to have run out of great new ideas.

Since the announcement of the game, Insomniac seemed to be the ideal developer for a Spider-Man game and in the end it delivered to this expectation. From beginning to end it is an absolute joy to move in high speeds between and over the skyscrapers of Manhattan as the friendly neighborhood hero, as well as getting involved in satisfying combat situations (with the obligatory Arkham inspiration). It’s a great game that’s shy from being amazing due to the forgettable and in the end derivative open world elements.

Okami was a masterpiece of game design when it was first released, it was a masterpiece in its various remasters and it remains a gaming masterpiece in this edition for the PS4.

Hollow Knight is simply one of the best metroidvania games we’ve played and one that shouldn’t be missed by any fan of the genre. From its elaborate and enormous map to its beautiful visuals and large variety of unique enemies and bosses this game is one of the better examples of what the indie scene can achieve.

Saros is a triumphant successor to Returnal, delivering an outstanding sci-fi experience. Its excellent visuals bring the planet Carcosa to life, while its fast, fluid combat remains consistently satisfying. Special praise should be given to the meticulously crafted audio, with an eclectic soundtrack and impactful sound design. Moreover, Housemarque demonstrates a clear evolution over its predecessor, refining an already memorable formula into one of the strongest experiences in the Sony Studios lineup.

For the 10th anniversary of this racing franchise Turn10 delivered a rich, immersive and absolutely enjoyable driving experience suited for casual as well as hardcore fans of the genre.

Another great addition to the Fire Emblem series, the newest chapter offers amazing visuals, an entirely captivating story and engrossing gameplay. Neither veterans nor newcomers should miss a change for one of the best offerings for the 3DS.

Game Atelier proved to be the ideal developer for modernizing fully the Wonder Boy series. The visuals are exquisitely vibrant with a very charming cartoony vibe and the metroidvania design is up with the best of the genre, thanks to a large world that is filled with secrets and opportunities to cleverly utilize every newly acquired ability.

This is the way Diablo III should have been from the very beginning.

The second iteration of Pro within the current gen returns to its old PS2 glory, thanks to a revamped gameplay that offers deep gameplay mechanics and great visuals. Konami took a step forward in creating the feeling of a genuine football match.

Game Freak did it again. Pokemon Black Version is a masterpiece, delivering all the superb gameplay elements that fans of the series learned to love over the years. The only drawback is the dated technology it uses, something that will surely be addressed in the future versions for the 3DS.
