Revelations is another great addition of 3DS, offering engaging gameplay and beautiful visuals, while its biggest asset is its captivating story. As such, it is highly recommended to approach it after you complete Birthright and Conquest, the previous two chapters of this saga.

The signs of time have indicated the return of the Prime Evils on the Nintendo Switch. The most recent version of Diablo 3 comes on the Switch, bringing all the devilishly addictive gameplay and hellishly haunting stories and lore on the go. It’s the Diablo 3 game that we all know and have loved so far, despite its graphical compromises and the lack of addition of any new content, and promises to carry players to the world of Sanctuary one last time.

This time the single player campaign has definitely taken a backseat as it doesn't manage to offer the thrills of the previous installments. On the other hand, its excellent multiplayer will undoubtedly maintain the interest of the fans until the next installment.

Whether you are a WoW veteran or thinking of returning to your old gaming habits Legion offers more user friendly options, stellar 5-man content and a brand new class. This time World of Warcraft manages to merge the worlds of the casual and the hardcore player in great fashion.

Finally, a good pirate theme RPG, full of intrigue and joy in exploration while having a wonderful DnD inspired battle system. The lackluster and without focus main story disappoints and the bugged quests do shoot some cannonballs through the captain’s cabin, but the quality remains high and Pillars of Eternity Deadfire still is one of the best Western RPGs in years.

Many indie games aspire to offer a retro journey but very few of them succeeds so highly as Owlboy. We cannot think of a greater praise for Owlboy other than to say that it gives the impression of an utterly beautiful gem from the 16-bit era that somehow stayed hidden for 25 years only to be discovered now.

Saying that Nioh is a “Souls clone” not only doesn’t do justice to a superb game, but can be quite misleading. Nioh stands on its own as a masterpiece from Team Ninja that reminds us the Ninja Gaiden glory days of the studio.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a highly refined sequel that showcases a studio brimming with hard-earned confidence. Its slow-burn progression is enriched by an authentic medieval setting, featuring some of the most stunning and natural forests we've ever seen, along with detailed A.I. behaviors. One can easily lose themselves for tens of hours roaming Bohemia, solving the myriad of well-written issues faced by its villagers.

It is quite simple. There is not a single modern RPG that can stand up to the story-telling and the convincing, atmospheric world of Witcher 2. In addition to this, CD Projekt simplifies gameplay mechanics wisely, without sacrificing the depth of the overall experience.

It seems that 2K Sports didn't rest at all and made even more improvements upon the series and especially in the MyCareer Mode. NBA 2K13 is the only basketball title available right now and it conquers the digital basketball courts with no competitor under the basket.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights comes forth as a deep enough 2D action-RPG but not as hard challenging as Hollow Knight, dressed in an ever beloved Dark Fantasy theme with haunting piano melodies and souls-like boss fights, ticking every essential Metroidvania boxes that fans of the genre crave for in this polished and joyful played production.

Nathan, Sam, Chloe, Nadine and a wider cast of memorable characters are ready to show PC gamers why the Uncharted series on the PlayStation family of consoles is a benchmark on the genre, and the industry in general. Beautifully woven narratives merge together with action-packed moments, good level design and brilliant visuals that can keep PC players going, and wondering why a potential PC The Nathan Drake collection is still out of the picture.

It would seem unthinkable but it’s true that the Old Hunters is even more challenging than the main game. Bosses and mobs are here to make our life much harder, but also to make us beg for even more! From Software delivers another unique experience depicted through a beautifully somber environment of which Lovecraft would be proud.

Jonathan Blow returns after eight years to deliver us another masterpiece. On the surface, The Witness is a demanding but fair puzzle game with great longevity and beautiful scenery. Look a bit deeper though and you’ll find an almost subliminal philosophical aspect in a way that only the medium of games could deliver.

Final Fantasy VII Remake walks in the shoes of the cult-classic leaving new footprints. Faithful in spirit, debatable for changes, this is a colossal attempt to retell the original story. Considering the legacy SquareSoft left behind, this is a job well done by Square-Enix.
