Axiom Verge is an excellent tribute to the first 2D Metroid games. With an enormous map, constant supply of new skills, and a breadth of secret locations this game is a must for anyone that searches for the next good metroidvania game.

A spectacular and horrifying ending for a long-running adventure series. Black Mirror 3 overcomes the challenge, surpasses it's predecessors and offers a great adventure full of mystery and true terror!

It’s more than obvious that Bloodstained could be very well named “Castlevania” and nobody would mistake it as a true sequel to Symphony of the Night. Igarashi managed to completely capture and expand one of the more influential metroidvania titles no matter if sometimes it may look a tad familiar.

Lacking only in its multiplayer modes, SoulCalibur VI takes the franchise to a whole new level of storytelling while keeping alive and even improving on the great fighting style and mechanics we know and love for more than 20 years.

Another ninja returns from the past offering an excellent experience. Musashi is a beast, thanks to a satisfying combat system that’s deep yet accessible. Strong level design elevates the platforming, while light metroidvania elements make backtracking a joy.

Moon Studios delivered a beautiful and vivid world while also providing challenging platforming that is supported by well-refined gameplay mechanics. This is Metroidvania at its finest and a great addition to the Xbox One library.

Borderlands 4 is a fantastic new addition to a beloved FPS franchise. It’s the most mature entry yet, without sacrificing its trademark irreverent humor. The shooting is as fun as ever, with a myriad of exciting guns keeping the action fresh even dozens of hours in. This is a game that will keep you busy for a long time to come.

Built mostly for “die-hard” fans of Street Fighter and even more for those fans who grew up playing this collection’s games on the arcades, the 30th Anniversary Collection delivers almost everything it promises: Nostalgia, sweet gameplay and a chance to enjoy 30 years of fighting evolution in one package.

This expansion manages to surpass the original game, standing strong as the go-to entry even for newcomers to the franchise. Dying Light: The Beast shines with its more compact map, engaging quests, and the ever-satisfying thrill of bashing zombies.

A beautiful experimental indie game, Hohokum manages to offer an exhilarating experience in a surreal and psychedelic world that aims in its exploration rather than the pursuit of completing goals. As fascinating as it is the complete absence of objectives as well as its peculiar design will surely divide players into lovers and haters camps.

This edition of Diablo III is quite different from its PC "brother", but still offers an addictive and superb action-rpg/dungeon crawler experience.

A diamond in the rough, a unique post-apocalyptic world filled with dark humor, quirky situations, and an intense central story. LISA may not be widely known, but it sticks with anyone who looks past its simplistic visuals.

Year by year, EA's NHL series keeps getting marginally better. The 2011-12 edition has more options, improved AI and greater depth. But the formula is starting to feel a bit old and makes us feel that the time has come for a complete reconstruction.

An exceptional indie game that utilizes perfectly its unique and fresh idea of rhythm-based roguelike. Its non-stop action, extremely fair high difficulty, and large variety of unique enemies form an utterly addictive experience.

Even though some long lasting problems -like the poor AI- are still here, the new edition of PES is one of the best representations of the "beautiful game".

Even though its style and characters are not so appealing, Watch Dogs 2 is certainly an improvement over the first game in almost every respect and one of the best games the “open-world” genre has offered in recent years.

It's not a revolution for the franchise, but rather a safe evolution -albeit very well executed. The pacing is greatly improved, along with the necessary variety of missions for the 12+ hours adventure. An honorable mention must be made for the amazing inclusion of the mission creation tools that will probably lead to a "Little Big Planet" phenomenon.

Even though DiRT 3 does not have major improvements over the previous games, the fact that it incorporates "Rally modes" -that Europeans will surely love- gives it a more "global" appeal. Oh, and the technology that is uses has no match!

More than 15 hours long, engaging atmosphere, rich level design, 4-player co-op mode and the Rage system. These are some of the things that make us think that the €10,99 launch price makes The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing one of the best indie experiences available on Steam right now.
