Switch owners can now see firsthand what can only be described as the ultimate ode to Dragon Ball. While the 30 FPS performance is noticeable, it doesn’t hinder the game’s easy-to-learn, hard-to-master fighting system or the richness of its content.

EA continues to dominate the fields, whether they are made of grass or ice. The 2014 edition of NHL is one of the best that has come out and the addition of the NHL 94 arcade edition makes it even more valuable.

By staying true to its legacy and at the same time by implementing new trends, like the ever learning A.I. of the Dojo mode, Samurai Shodown proves there's plenty of room in this day and age for 2D fighting games. More so if these games are as finely crafted as the new Samurai Shodown.

With improvements on the crafting and material accessing mechanisms, with new items and recipes, new ways to explore and with interesting characters to interact, Dragon Quest Builders 2 improves itself compared to the first game of the series and combines a compelling storyline and the crafting mechanisms in a way that even the pioneers of the genre have not done so far. Minor issues might take points from our building experience, but Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a crafting adventure not to be missed.

After Shredder’s Revenge, Dotemu returns with another loving ode to classic beat ’em ups. Marvel: Cosmic Invasion features an excellent roster of both beloved and obscure Marvel characters, backed by a satisfying and richly designed combat system. It doesn’t exactly tread new ground for the genre, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that this is yet another strong entry in the ongoing renaissance of classic beat ’em ups.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is obviously a great game that every gamer must play. It is a pity though that the whole "Enhanced" title falls sort since most of the additions and improvements exist as free mods.

The Italians at Milestone prove again that "two wheeled" games are their forte. MotoGP 13 is the most realistic and demanding motorcycle game of the past decade and a must-buy for MotoGP enthusiasts.

It’s been a long time since we last saw a truly unique game from the indie scene. Pony Island fills this gap with an utterly engrossing game. Our trip into the hellish “innards” of an arcade cabinet is smartly designed.

Armello is as close as we can get to a board game experience, and a great one at that. Its rules are quite deep and very well thought, providing a well-balanced mixture of luck and skill.

A respectful tribute to a nearly dead, but never forgotten genre, Legend of Grimrock reminds us the pure basics that can make an RPG so much fun to play: addictive gameplay, strong difficulty & puzzles and pure gripping cold atmosphere.

Both of these games can function as satisfying substances for the thirsty for more God of War fans. However, while Chains of Olympus is legitimately a washed out God of War experience exclusively for PSP players, Ghost of Sparta could stand right next to the original trilogy and claim a place in the heart of the fans, as equal.

Legends of Eisenwald is one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises that we engaged with this summer. Intriguing storytelling, thrilling plot twists and ambiguous morale decisions are wrapped up in an excellent medieval/ feudal environment. The simple yet addictive turn based battle system, the many upgradeable military units and a well built economic system, raise the game’s status to “totally recommended” for the genre’s fans.

An NBA 2K game is once again being plagued by microtransactions that enrage gamers. But on the other hand, the production values, the gameplay and the overall presentation of NBA 2K20 are over the roof, having no match in sports games. At the end of the day, you must be the one to judge if this high quality balances out the cons of the "loot boxes blight".

This sequel improves many of the original's gameplay elements even though without reinventing the wheel. Once again, reconnecting the world through its unique online cooperation is enough to hook players for hours, especially with the new map of Australia being so diverse and a joy to traverse. However, the main plot is a step back from the first game. While it's still well-written and features excellently directed cutscenes, its twists and turns often fall flat, and some plot threads lead nowhere.

Αn unforgiving and difficult to master Turn-based strategy RPG set in a low fantasy universe, that rewards the persistent and patient player. A perpetual battle for survival and the constant need for adapting new gameplay tactics is only held back by the total randomness in many aspects of the game. This randomness is at the same time charming and repulsive.
