Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is a great time for any fan of roguelites. It is, unashamedly, like Hades, but also a seriously fun time that I enjoyed almost every single moment of… aside from some of the glitches I ran into.

Idea Factory may have skimped a bit on narrative, but the visuals far exceed anything I’ve seen in any visual novel, and even most games that fall outside the genre. If this your first foray into dating sims, while the narrative can go all over the place at times, you’ll be so lost in the visuals of the world, you won’t mind where it takes you.

Dumb fun is great, especially when you’re bogged down in deadlines or stress. What better way to unwind than with good ol’ dumb fun in the form of SENRAN KAGURA Bon Appétit! - Full Course. Taking it by the bucket loads of over indulgent second helpings in a three course meal of cheesy writing, bombastic music and fan service galore!

It has its issues, but it’s nice to finally get this off of the Vita.

Ultros is a unique title set in a psychedelic world, introducing new gameplay aspects like eating the things that you kill to get stronger and gardening to progress in the story.

Overall this is a nice title and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun but short game.

Gynoug is a memorable shoot ’em up that is a must play for anyone who loves this genre, especially with a retro look. This game will definitely work your eyes to the max, so I recommend playing earlier in the day because late at night when you are tired I am sure you will be frustrated!

A fun kart racing game that offers four player local and online multiplayer with a huge cast of characters from the Nickelodeon catalogue of shows that you can use to build your dream racing team. It has you racing on tracks inspired by the cartoons and featuring the music you know.

Running and gunning, exploration, big bosses, upgrades and tons of deaths makes this game mostly enjoyable throughout many runs. While not improving on The Binding of Isaac's gameplay, Feral Fury does a good job of good enough replacement that can stand on its own if given the chance.

Worm Jazz is a clever puzzle game that can get challenging as you work your way through the levels, but it’s so forgiving that it mainly just wants you to sit back, relax and listen to some smooth jazz.

Shooting Saucer is a challenging arcade-style platformer where you will die a lot while learning the levels. With multiple characters, each with their own unique traits, there is plenty of replayability here!

Equal parts relaxing and chaotic, Nova Lands is an easy-to-love automation game with a gameplay loop that will have you hooked for hours on end.

Despite the obvious cash-grab ‘Firestorm’ mode and the inevitable day one glitches that’ll need to be patched out, Battlefield V does a wonderful job at making a game players won’t soon forget (at least until the next one comes out). With interesting modes like ‘Grand Operations’, ‘Frontlines’, and the always classic ‘Conquest’, coupled with the heartfelt campaign’s the game as to offer, Battlefield V is definitely worth checking out.

co-open is a charming game with many quests and collectibles to get. It's a great game to play if you're looking for something calming and cute!

Pushing out sheer pornography with its visuals while also testing you with fast paced combat, Bright Memory: Infinite teases you like a temptress. It brings you oh so close, then leaves you wanting more.

Kemono Heroes is a great side-scrolling, hack ‘n slash title with multiplayer that feels like it’s from the arcade, but only one save slot makes things hard.

A full and entertaining experience in its own right, Tomb Raider Reloaded is fun, free, and challenging in all of the right places. A few visual errors, steep difficulty spikes, and high amounts of ads might scare some off, but the roguelite underneath is an absolute joy to play.

A time sink that will keep you hooked right up until your last Duplicant.

Crystal Project's encouragement for exploration and building your own adventure is both the game's strongest and weakest point, as finishing your goal too early leads to the journey becoming stale.

Doki Doki Ragnarok is an absolutely ridiculous game — in a good way, of course. It has some spelling mistakes and isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Truthfully, I had a lot of fun playing it, and I would have loved it if there was more to do.

There is a revolution happening in Battlefield 1 and it’s not just with the arrival the latest expansion pack. With reworked mechanics, more progression and rewards; It’s clear that DICE is implementing fundamental changes for the series. Unfortunately, even though the tides are turning, as of right now they are held back by the obligations of the available season pass.

SokoChess White is an excellent puzzle game to test yourself, even without playing against an opponent.

It’s got a few rough edges, but nothing too unbearable. It’s definitely worth getting your paws on this one and I’d recommend it bear claws I had an ursome experience playing it. One fur the wishlist of anybody who wants a good point-and-click to paws the time.

As someone who’s experienced and loves faster-paced fighting games, this is an easy win and Under Night’s formula tweaks help keep just different enough you feel like you’re mastering a weapon. However, this isn’t for everyone and if you’re after something more feature complete like a proper story mode.

Tetris Forever is a great way to play through the history of the franchise with some awesome titles that were never released outside of Japan.

You’ll have a blast however you approach it.

As it is now, Astral Chain is a great action game with a few blemishes. It might not be perfect, but it should be a high priority for any Switch owners, and fans of the action genre as a whole.

Whateverland is a simple point-and-click adventure that is just fun; though the complexity might be a bit bothersome for others, I found it a charming and enjoyable aspect.

A lighter side-entry into the Trails series, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails may not engross you in its narrative, but will surely charm you with its carefree nature.

Though I personally don't enjoy roguelikes, ToME is a marvellous game with bundles of class and race options that give the game an astounding amount of replay value. Coupled with the amazingly interesting lore and map design, ToME draws you in time and again.

(CARD QUEST) is a great game, with quick runs to play but provides a serious challenge that will get you thinking. However, expect a heavy grind if you want to bring out a character’s true potential.

Servonauts is a great multiplayer title that is a blast to play with friends, but if you were looking for an engaging solo experience, this may not be the title for you!

With oodles of content and a surprisingly engaging battle system, you might find yourself spending a decent chunk of time playing the magical lord in this little app that packs a big punch.

I guess if the story and writing was sacrificed, it went to making a more concise and impactful gameplay with the addition of three new weapons into the series and the promise of additional content until Summer. This is a game that keeps in line with the previous entries. It’s like that younger sibling who’s managed to be more skillful and prettier than the elders, except for the rampant use of duct tape for clothes.

PGA Tour 2K21 is a standout golfing experience in its own right that any fan, veteran or novice, can play to enjoy a golfing experience tailored for them.

A fun little bullet hell that has a ton of replay value and a charming visual appeal. Quite an approachable entry for those daunted by other shoot ‘em ups with a scoring system that rewards skill.

The story won’t shock and disturb you as much as Game of Thrones might, but it’s a story anyone can engage with. It’ll even have you reeling in genuine grief when you’ve distilled an old sock.

I was pleasantly shocked at how much fun and relaxation I found in Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town. The only issue might just be the price point!

God of Word is a very engaging word puzzler game that uses Greek mythology as a fun and quirky way to improve your vocabulary and spelling, and all the while being enjoyable at the same time. The animations are neat and the game has a well-polished feel to it. The developers have identified a really cool niche to which this game slots into seamlessly - there is little doubt with me that God of Word is a stellar title.

A simple, yet incredibly effective roguelike, focusing purely on the necessities, which makes for a surprisingly engaging title.

There’s less than an hour of content here, but at the low, low price of free, it’s certainly worth a bash if you like a bit of WTF in your point-and-click non-adventures. And now that I think about it, the last line of dialogue very nearly gave me an actual lol, so y’know what, I’ll endorse that “comedy” tag after all. Life’s too short to be stingy. How’s that for deep?

A very well-made, entertaining throwback shooter with some useful quality of life improvements, but nothing you didn't see 20 years ago.

Miasma Chronicles, while not without its flaws, shines in its intricately crafted environments and thrilling tactical combat, bringing life into what could have been a game as bleak as its dystopian world.

A strikingly good puzzle game based around pressing buttons that becomes fantastically complicated, with a strong techno soundtrack that compliments the aesthetic perfectly.

Shotgun Cop Man is just dumb fun, with a short yet excellently done campaign that feels satisfying to beat. What else do you need to have a good time?

A huge open world game filled with Star Wars, and you don’t have to Force Choke it to make it fun.

What else can you expect from Clicker Climber: Reverse Pachinko but snowballing numbers and intense difficulty that will keep you playing for hours. Pachinko has never been so addictive without losing or earning real money.

A marked improvement on last years entry, with plenty of new features to keep all levels of players interested. The new features add much needed playability to the sessions in the career and the manual starts/pit entry and formation laps add the extra sprinkling of realism needed to help it feel more immersive.

TEN - Ten Rooms, Ten Seconds is a precision platforming title that is very challenging! Surviving for 10 seconds in a room may sound easy, but man it feels like forever when bullets and saw blades are flying at you!

An interesting attempt to blend roguelite elements within a narrative and a welcome return to Prey’s quirky alien world. It won’t be for everyone but it’s a satisfying, fun and challenging experience for fans of one of last year’s best games.

Ultimately, Get Together is a strong expansion for a pretty non-impactful base game and lifts it as a whole to the standard I would have expected in the first place.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition is the ideal remaster, but nothing has really changed mechanically, so many of the old issues with balancing still exist.

The Caligula Effect has the potential to become a bit of a sleeper hit for the hardcore Vita enthusiasts out there. It reaches a really nice rhythmic cadence with its rock-solid gameplay, complemented by a clever, well-written narrative. A few technical hiccups try to rain on its parade, but overall it’s an endearing, touching and surprisingly deep RPG with a ton of character and a bucketload of heart.

One of the most creative and well executed titles ever released, dragged down by a disappointing remaster.

With a simple but engaging upgrade system; enough weapons and gadgets to make James Bond blush; and a great parrying mechanic that brings an unexpected rhythmic element to combat, this is one title that warrants a purchase even without any fancy VR setup. Repetition with enemy variety and level structure may mar the experience for some players, but it’s easy to overlook these faults when the core game has so much to offer.

DARQ: Ultimate Edition stands out with great visual and audio design, immersing you within its nightmarish dream world without needing to say a single word. Your time playing as Lloyd, while short, will be a memorable one full of clever puzzles, strange enemies, and physics-bending mechanics.

Baimason's Thing Finder Puzzle gives you exactly what you pay for, and £1.69 for a two-hour experience, infinitely replayable stages, and a daily puzzle isn't a shabby trade.

Kick Ass Commandos is a strong game that is full of action from the off. I really enjoyed the pace and flow of the game and it’s a game you can just pick up and play with ease. The game could have had more longevity but overall Kick Ass Commandos is far too impressive to let that put you off. If you are a fan of twin stick shooters then Kick Ass Commandos is almost definitely for you!

An interesting platformer with challenge, style, and fun. Not a game to overlook.

Rogue One is a brilliantly designed pinball machine and I enjoyed it so much that I'm likely to be a late arrival to the Zen Pinball series fandom. There was plenty of action on offer and I didn't find myself getting bored at any time. And I'm sorry but I have to… The force is strong with this one!

Overall, Vindefiant is a fun, challenging experience. The story isn’t going to win awards, but if you want to smash someone against a window multiple times so you can launch them through the broken glass, this is what you need.

While Chaos;Child doesn't do much to innovate the genre at all, I can't deny that the story, sound and art are incredible. Although, the Delusion trigger system feels pointless and changes next to nothing. This doesn't damage the story or any other aspect of the game, but is disappointing. Any fans of the series or graphic novels will thoroughly enjoy this game.

The Elephant Collection rampages onto a new system (and potential fanbase) while also keeping its charm from all these years.

A neat automation game that’s well built with plenty of depth to keep you going for quite some time, and this is only “Phase 1”. The programming aspect is similar to that of the Scratch programming language, and can teach basic programming principles with its visual code builder and “follow me” initial recording of the robots.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 may be more of the same, but it's still, undoubtedly, an exciting and intense fighter through and through.

Get Even is a memorable experience and a well-delivered psychological thriller. Music and audio design stand as its high point, alongside the visuals and gameplay creating an immersive atmosphere. It truly is The Farm 51’s best title to date, and Bandai Namco was right to give them the extra time needed to complete it.

With a bit more polish, Copy Kitty would stand the test of time like the games it sets out to emulate. But despite its flaws, it's a strong title that uses its desire to emulate overall better experiences to create something unique, interesting, and most of all, enjoyable. If you're willing to overlook its flaws, Copy Kitty is well worth a look.

Though slightly held back by its visual presentation and potentially polarising humour, Trombone Champ is a respectable rhythm game with enjoyable gameplay that fans of the genre are bound to enjoy.

Backfirewall_ is a great mix of solid storytelling, clever puzzles, and tech puns. While it offers nothing new to the first-person puzzle genre, it’s a well-crafted experience with a unique premise and an interesting cast of characters.

A game with loads of replayability and enough of a challenge to keep you having just one more go.

Fortuna Magus is just a really good JRPG that delivers what it promises. With a compelling story, combat that encourages experimentation, and an engaging progression system, this will make for a nice 10 hours of gameplay.

Infernax is a great game that I highly recommend to anyone who loves challenging platformer games that sound and look great. Especially if you don’t mind figuring out what needs to be done next and aren't disgusted by blood and gore.

Sclash is an absolutely beautiful looking game with a stunning look that makes everything appear hand-painted. The story is quite short, and currently, there is no online play available, but it is still a game that will test your patience and timing!

Atelier Mysterious Trilogy DX is a brilliant package that makes for a wonderful return to three excellent titles, as well as a great starting point for newcomers to the series.

Party Animals is a great multiplayer title to play with friends that won’t get boring or super repetitive like other titles in the genre. With a huge variety of characters and maps to check out, this will keep you busy for a long time.

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn DLC is a must-play for fans of the base game. If you are fine with spoilers for the base game, you can easily jump into this shorter 20-hour story.

Worms W.M.D as a whole is a lot of fun, it’s the best 2D Worms title we’ve had in a long time and it reminds me why these games are so enjoyable to play. If you are looking for a multiplayer game to play with family and friends on the couch or for a game night over the internet you could do a lot worse than get a bout of Worms!

Hyrule Warriors: The Age of Calamity is a great addition to the warriors series of games if you enjoy battling huge mobs of enemies. Featuring great character development for Zelda and doesn’t require playing Breath of the Wild to enjoy. The local co-op is great, but sorely absent in the Divine Beast missions.

While Waiting is a lovely puzzler that embraces patience and offers a tonne of fun if you let your curiosity go wild while you wait. Its variety, replayability, and charming style make it easy to recommend.

Drop Duchy feels like Tetris blended with a board game. You must be strategic with your placement — just clearing lines won’t be enough to ensure your victory!
