Chants of Sennaar is a must-have for puzzle game fans, thanks to its superb art direction and ingenious concept based on the deciphering of ancient languages. Rundisc didn't just create an ingenious idea. The studio makes the most of it to offer intelligent and varied puzzles. Our powers of deduction are put to the test from start to finish. Still, we're a little worried that some players will get lost along the way, as the difficulty soars after a more accessible first part. This would be a pity, as Chants of Sennaar offers a memorable journey that will leave you fascinated.

The artistic direction of ITSP drew me in a dream, even though I was expecting a better storyline, and a tiny bit more out of the title overall. The gameplay remains solid, supporting an adventure with a nice blend of action and puzzle-solving sequences.

Season A Letter to the Future is the PS5 gem of the beginning of this year. The atmospheric game captivates from the very first seconds thanks to its poetry and melancholy. A splendid and magnetic game as much on the visual level as the writing of its dreamlike universe. An artistic spectacle as sublime as its narrative premise that remains intriguing during the few hours needed to complete it.

The Disney Afternoon Collection turns out to be a well-polished compilation of some iconic all-times classic of the NES. With a variety of new tools and interesting bonuses, it offers an overall view on Capcom and Disney's legendary partnership.

Bravely Default II couldn't be through with the past, as shown by the JRPG's traditional elements which inevitably, if not deliberately arouse nostalgia. While its wider, undulating world invites exploration, this episode seriously lays everything down, from the decidedly abrupt narrative to the extremely demanding strategical battles, exploiting the risk rewarding system and jobs' combination skills at full extent. Such kinds of class, whether wisely revised or exquisitely original, are worth it. Hence Tomoya Asano signs a deeply moving fairy tale intended for the genre's erudites, a beautiful proof of bravery.

Combo Crew is a good beat'em all on iOS and Android, with a deeper-than-you-would-think gameplay, nice graphics... and it now offers Street Fighter characters in DLC.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die only features the first season (2 episodes) of the whole story. This is quite short for the price, but the story and the atmosphere are really attractive and catchy so far.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD is a good compilation for long-time fans of the saga. Dream Drop Distance looks good on PS4 and, boy, Birth by Sleep 0.2 sure looks gorgeous. However, this prologue lasts only less than three hours, DDD is not the most thrilling game of the saga and X Back Cover is a very poor attempt at making a movie with an hour long badly paced cinematic. Clearly not a compulsory purchase but still entertaining enough for fans.

Destiny is not really the revolutionary FPS we were waiting for, but it is still a good one. The gameplay, art direction, graphics and musics are fantastic, but right now the game lacks content at a high level and you can get bored easily from its repetitiveness.

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a solid TPS, although a quite straightforward one if you play it alone. Going multiplayer gives it added depth, since using and mixing powers in teamplay make it more interesting to play. Alas, its lack of inspiration in terms of level design, its annoying frame rate issues, improvable story and french voice acting, as well as its average production values and too few multiplayer maps are a disappointment. However, for absolute fans of the franchise, it remains one of if not the best adaptation of the show, giving back their pride to Autobots and Decepticons!

LawBreakers is far from being a bad multiplayer FPS. It's a fun game with some good ideas, that can entertain you a lot. But there's nothing in it that feels really surprising or more appealing to players that already have plenty of choices in the genre.

Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a nice and very accessible fighting game, with fighters coming from 4 different games. Too bad it lacks content, with its roster divided in two parts, the second part being sold separately through DLCs.

MotoGP 19 is much better than its previous edition. The content is at the rendezvous and it is adaptable to most styles of players. Whether you want to find the best settings in manual mode or you want to enjoy the helps provided and ride in 5 minutes it will satisfy you. For the next year, we ask for a graphic evolution and a scenario in career mode. This will give more to an already very complete game.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 takes all the best ingredients of the first episode and improves the formula by adding lots of gameplay elements that make the experience even more cool.

Mario Tennis Fever marks the franchise's triumphant return on the Nintendo Switch 2. Camelot and Nintendo deliver a fun, family-friendly installment designed for short, accessible play sessions for all ages. From the matches and mini-games to the animation and the integration of the frenetic tennis rackets, everything is geared towards simple entertainment. However, this casual approach comes at the expense of a genuine challenge. The overly forgiving AI and the lack of real difficulty in any game mode will push players more towards multiplayer. But even then, the title will appeal more to those seeking fun and social experiences than to hardcore competitors.

Tacoma is a rightful heir to Gone Home. Exploration of the station, with the possibility to learn about the crew through holographic projections, makes us feel we are in a very lively place and the main story, that wants us to think about capitalism and I.A.'s future is captivating, even thought the experience is quite short.

RoboCop: Rogue City stands out as the most accomplished video game adaptation of this iconic action hero from the 80s. The game manages to captivate fans with its atmosphere and thrills.

MotoGP 20 evolves little, but evolves well compared to its previous version. It gains a better team management, both cosmetic and mechanical damage as well as improved management of the motorcycle during the race. It is therefore a little deeper and more interesting. For the next version, in addition to an essential update, we are asking for paddocks that really live and enough to satisfy the thirst for knowledge of motorcycle enthusiasts.

This Strider Reboot is a complete success. Frantic, quite difficult and deeper than its predecessors, thanks to a Metroid-like structure, it brings Hiryu back to life with style.

Assassin's Creed Mirage was full of promises. In the end, it's more of a tribute than a true return to its roots. The game offers a melting pot of the latest episodes, stripping out all the RPG progression and its open world, leaving us with the most basic things the license has to offer. It does manage to give a nostalgic vibe in its best moments, but this throwback is combined with a lack of modernity, originality and technical shortcomings that are hard to forgive in 2023, especially in terms of AI and parkour. It's not bad in itself, but it clearly doesn't live up to its promise. Hopefully, Ubisoft will be able to turn this around in the future, because while Mirage leaves us wanting more, it clearly whets our appetites.

Yager wanted to make us live a contemporary war in the shoes of a soldier on the field. Its a success despite a too short adventure, some sequences that lack a little punch, and some hiccups in the production values. The multiplayer should compensate for its lack of durability and replayability.

You don’t change a winning team, and that’s almost exactly what EA Sports FC 25 is offering this season. The basis of the precedent is there, with changes that are more like adjustments than profound upheavals. The fun is there, the life of the title always as consistent and finally there is enough new material in each mode to invite you to experience. The big plus is the Rush mode, clearly, and we’ll have to see how EA Sports plans to exploit a well-promoted mode everywhere in the coming months to gauge its potential accurately. In the meantime, deep in love or not in love with the ball, you know what to do in a few days with your money. One more season.

The Ancient Gods a great addition to DOOM Eternal. Gameplay is still very nervous, fast and its difficulty makes it more exhilarating than ever.

DOFUS : Battles is a kind of evolved Plants vs Zombies-like, perfectly designed for the iOS platforms. The characters that will have to contain the waves of enemies and prevent them from reaching the far back of the grid can gain levels and be equipped, in the regular RPG style. Sadly though, the majority of the 12 character classes don't seem to be much useful to obtain victory map after map. That's even more a shame that apart from this game design flaw, there's not much else to blame.

With a much lower pace than its competitors, in favor of its truly strategic (rather than tactical) approach, R.U.S.E. provides large-scale battles filled with subtlety, twists, and finesse, for its solo adventure and multiplayer alike. Its system of ruses, most notably, is absolutely brilliant for building up effective attack and defense strategies, especially when you're able to keep most of your real intentions concealed up to the very last minute. It's a game one needs to approach from afar, with the intelligence of a general, and a real soft gem in a world of brutish RTS games. It's a really different alternative to StarCraft II that really deserves attention, if only to discover another way to wage war.

It might be hard to master all the intricacies of game such as Guilty Gear, but its arrival on the Wii is a blessing. Comprehensive, well executed, as deep as ever, all the while remaining accessible to an extent, for newbies. Now, be aware that you must have a classic controller to enjoy this classic japanese fighter.

Sometimes, Resonance is confusing because its system is somewhat unclear. It requires time, a cold head, and a good awareness of clues in order to solve the puzzles. But you're then rewarded with a really good story and lovable characters. A very nice point & click, both funny, mature, and poignant.

Artistically, then, Tales of Kenzera Zau stands out in every way. From its narrative to its visuals to its OST, everything is done to take us on an extremely touching and personal journey. It's so heartfelt and soulful that the rest suffers. The level design is relatively classic for the genre, as is the gameplay which, while particularly exhilarating and satisfying, leaves us with the feeling of not being exploited to its full potential. Tales of Kenzera often moves too fast, or is it so successful that it leaves you wanting more, the question remains. The fact is, as it stands, it's a breath of fresh air, a tangy treat that offers rare sensations. Absolutely touching.
