Actual Sunlight is a good narrative experience, which deals with mature and atypical themes. Despite a poor visual rendering, the story (witch is very short) is well written and gripping to the end.

With only one action sequence and not a single challenging puzzle in sight, The Enemy Within Episode 4 is clearly not the most intense Telltale episode ever made. But its portrayal of the Joker manages to make this second to last episode interesting.

Compilation of two visual novels that came out 10 year ago in Japan, Muv-Luv offers some pleasant adventures in which you will enjoy trying to seduce girls close to your avatar, even if their designs feel a bit old and games a bit repetitive.

If Eternal Strands somehow slipped under your radar amidst a truly insane previous year for video games, it deserves your full attention if you love magic, have a creative mind, and enjoy the epic feel of facing titanic monsters that Monster Hunter or Shadow of the Colossus wouldn't disown. This first game from a new studio composed of BioWare and Ubisoft veterans certainly offers a very solid foundation for a franchise as original as it is convincing. As it stands, however, one might regret a slight lack of risk-taking, which translates into an arsenal of weapons and spells, as well as a bestiary that, unfortunately, becomes repetitive rather quickly. We therefore hope that this successful first attempt has achieved well-deserved success, so that its creators can push the boundaries even further in a potential sequel.

There's a lot of revelations in this episode of Cognition. I've been caught off guard and enticed right up until the end of it. It's enough to overlook the still weak production values, and the easy gameplay. Can't wait for the conclusion of this story!

Dawn of War III is a beautiful marriage of successful technique and very pleasant gameplay. A true festival of pyrotechnics effects, it's one of more beautiful games in the strategy category. Nevertheless, the game is not without fault, and we regret the cruel lack of content in multiplayer (only one mode). But Relic has achieved its goal and the game is good mix between nostalgia and evolution.

EA changes its Sims franchise for the better: placed in a consistent universe, with a common goal, each hero of Sims Medieval finds itself in a right and logical spot (which was rarely the case with previous Sims titles). In the end, the Kingdom itself is the main character of the game, and even though the gameplay seems a little repetitive, the middle-ages charm, with a twist of humor and a lot to discover, works well.

Too light to really capture PvE fans in the long run, Tera offers, on the other hand, a new level of challenge for those who like player versus player battles, thanks to its manual "true" targeting combat. Even though there's still some major things missing (like the battlegrounds), Tera remains a solid MMO, blessed with top-notch visuals. It's only true weakness: serious competitors coming in 2012.

Even though WWE 2K19 doesn't offer the graphical overhaul the franchise so desperately deserves, it takes quite a few steps in the right direction. Its new modes are fun, the Showcase mode makes a triumphant return and its new features are well thought out. WWE 2K19 clearly gives WWE fans something to have a good time with.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a nice adventure at the crossroads of Nintendo's Breath of the Wild and the Assassin's Creed saga. By using elements form both series, Ubsioft delivers a colorful and diverse experience, which still suffers from some inaccuracies, within the many fights of puzzles scattered all around the world.

Tales Of Graces F is like previous Tales of Games, it has a theme. This time it's "to seek the strength required to protect", with the story of a kid who will try to do everything he can to absolve his past mistakes, and become strong enough to protect those he loves. It's super classic and simple, and that's why it works, especially for all those who like the way JRPG were done ten years ago.

Invincible VS is the refreshing fighting game we have been waiting for, both in terms of its art direction and its gameplay, inevitably frustrating for the one taking the hits, but hugely satisfying and enjoyable for the one dishing them out. The attack-defense balance is fairly well-tuned, with a slight lean toward aggressive play nonetheless, and the faithfulness to the source material is spot-on, with original content thrown in as a bonus. That content will need to be judged over time, and one can't help feeling that it would have been more compelling to tell stories from within the Invincible universe, letting some players relive the series' defining moments, rather than delivering a brand-new, standalone narrative.

Now on Nintendo Switch, The Worlds Ends with You Final Remix is still a good and enjoyable game, but the port is lazy. Everything comes from Solo Remix, a mobile version from 2014, and the added gameplay system, with one Joy-Con that is used as a wiimote is not as efficient as it should be.

All the ingredients of the original are there : an original gameplay mechanic centered around the "coloring" of levels and groovy, interactive musics, funny cinematics, an overall easy-going atmosphere, and an above average production value... but deBlob 2 is never able to surprise as much as its predecessor, as the innovation factor was consumed with the original episode. On top of that, this sequel suffers from a poorly paced rhythm, and a repetitiveness you soon feel too much. Too bad for those who ere expecting much of it. Despite all this, it still remains a very decent platformer with an original twist, a lot of qualities, and most of all, a ton of charm.

If you feel more like a geneticist than an adventurer yourself, Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2 might keep you interested enough thanks to its enticing monster synthesis gameplay and its bestiary of hundreds of Dragon Quest monsters. But aside this core aspect, the journey lacks the extra spice, the combats sometimes feel out of place and artificially added in order to boost the game's longevity. Depending on your own tastes, you may see the full or the empty half of that glass.

The 8 to 12 years old kids can easily add 10 points to our review score, which reflects the less transgenerational qualities of Skylanders when compared to Pokémon. But the concept alone, with its little monster toys, works perfectly well, and even on a 34 years old like me... I'm going to keep playing with my kids. Their eyes simply spark when I put a toy on the portal and it materializes in the game!

Behind the humorous, colorful atmosphere, Game Builder Garage proves a real creation environment, with a phenomenally intuitive interface and a clever didactic approach to such a huge amount of possibilities, using almost every function of the system. But Nintendo also made delicate compromises between simplicity and ambition through technical or sharing limitations, hence production will heavily rely on Nodon game designers' efforts.

Squids combines tactics and RPG in a game that has clearly been thought, and crafted with the touch platforms in mind. As a results, it works really well, and the overall quality of the production, visuals, sounds, and gameplay for such a little price make it a real teat for iOS gamers (and later Android ones).

After a disappointing third episode, Game of Thrones brings back tension and action at a good level. We learn a bit more about some characters, can see a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel, even though some scenes remind us that it's not going to be easy for everyone.
