There are but a few ways to play with food, which are so fun, that we'd gladly welcome some kind of extra meat-based dessert coming from Team Meat. Addictive, funny, perfectly balanced, Super Meat Boy is all the way up there standing side by side with a famous plumber, or a well-known hero with no arms nor legs, in the world of the platformers. A game we'd prompt you to enjoy with friends on your couch, potato chips on the table, and a couple of bottles to drink from, so they can laugh at your demise, or dare to pick up the controller for you to do the same. Meat's yummy!- Gameblog.fr

Anticipation for Dead Space 2 was especially high. It could have gone to the dark side, forgetting about those moments when the tension rises... and nothing is clearly shown. But for the best, it was able to keep its soul intact. And by raising the bar in all aspects (production values, horror, pace), it appears as the definitive master of the survival/horror genre.- Gameblog.fr

Firaxis succeeded. Easy to handle even for the newcomer, but still as rich as ever with multiple gameplay systems to play with, Civilization V will easily seduce the strategy-savvy. The lack of religions will maybe be covered in a future expansion, but even as is, it's a must-have in the genre. Plan your sleepless nights far ahead, and get a recent enough PC to handle it. Yup : this, too, is called evolution.- Gameblog.fr

A platformer of great quality, visually stunning, and offering an interesting architecture filled with funny and interesting details making a brilliant use of the stereoscopic 3D. It sure is a little too easy for the most part, probably because of it wants to remain as accessible as possible, making its first few levels a walk in the park for the fan, but its charms work nonetheless. It's hard to look elsewhere once you started diving into its worlds, before actually finishing them entirely... as expected, it's a must-have of the platform.- Gameblog.fr

It's hard to resist this second DLC. With 3 characters, 4 vehicles and 8 really inspired tracks for a fair price, we have all we need to keep on playing Mario Kart 8 alone or with friends.- Gameblog.fr

Unlike the severly infected PC port of The Last of Us Part 1 at its release, The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC presents itself as a superb score with almost no false notes, apart from a few textures, a depth of field below the rest, and very rare bugs. We are therefore entitled here to a PC version of very high caliber from a technical point of view, coupled with extremely complete support for different control schemes and accessibility pushed to the maximum. If you have never played Part 2, you will definitely be spoiled here, even with a modest configuration. Likewise, players without a PS5 Pro will be able to enjoy the best version of Naughty Dog's masterpiece, unless the 50 euros price tag is prohibitive for you, but also without a mandatory PSN account.- Gameblog.fr

Monster Hunter World is the real reboot of the series we've been waiting for for so long. Capcom has managed to maintain the essence of the game while getting rid of the gameplay rigidity of the past years, and the result is a beautiful and fantastic game.- Gameblog.fr

Guild Wars 2 was long-awaited; it's now out, and its gigantic amount of content and polish are undeniable. What is, though, is its "revolutionary" tag. Because it's clearly not a revolution, just one of the most comprehensive, detailed, and rich "Theme Park" MMO ever, with a welcomed focus placed upon comfort for players. What may be a revolution, though, is having this rich a game with no subscription and a decent, not forced-down-your-throat online shop.- Gameblog.fr

It's hard not to fall for such an offer, of 3 great games for less than a full retail HD game. But at the same time, one can't help but notice some lazyness in the remastering process. Efforts have been reduced to a minimum, with no additionnal content whatsoever, and there are even some technical shortcomings (frame rate drops on MGS2 and 3). For the nostalgia, for the collection, for the fans, or those who never had the chance to play them, it's still a cult saga with memorable sequences.- Gameblog.fr

More of an evolution than a revolution, indeed. But a major evolution nonetheless in terms of fun. With a revised collision engine, superb AI, and First Touch Control, FIFA 13 is superior to last year's edition in almost every way, topping the list of the best soccer games ever created.- Gameblog.fr

When it was released in 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade, Limbo had everything of the absolute video game gem. A year later, its charms are stronger than ever. Wrapped in its simple yet elegant visuals, with a unique atmosphere, this platformer will challenge your sense of observation, your wits, and your brains... without forgetting to twinkle your emotions. A masterpiece yesterday, a masterpiece today.- Gameblog.fr

Tekken 8 offers a suitable playground for both novices and purists of the saga. Set to last, the game sets the bar very high, corrects the defaults of the previous game and greatly improves the experience. We can’t wait to see how Bandai Namco will follow up in the coming months/years. A must-have for any lovers of fighting games that respects. You will not regret it.- Gameblog.fr

True to the series, NBA 2K13 is even better, in terms of production value, content, gameplay, all the while managing to gain in accessibility. It also boasts a new career mode and the Ultimate Team mode. It's probably the best sport simulation ever.- Gameblog.fr

From atop this Total War: Shogun 2, eleven years of experience are looking right at you. The gameplay The Creative Assembly crafted for this new title is breathtakingly rich, almost intimidating, but fans will still feel right at home since the new elements aren't plenty. For newcomers, the challenge can be hard to overcome because the ruleset of the game isn't very well explained, but Shogun 2 also becomes, because of this, an adventure that is all the more satisfying to conquer. NB 2K12 is as generous as it is demanding, and it's unquestionably a game for passionate Basketball lovers, made by passionate basketball lovers. But with its astounding animations, the high fidelity of the greatest players reproduced in game (the older stars like the ones of today), its rich content, deep gameplay, atmosphere and fantastic sound work, 2K's sport game wows anyone. It's as clear as a lightning-fast pass from Magic Johnson, a Michael Jordan cross-over or 3-point shot from Larry Bird: NBA 2K12 is the best basket simulation ever published.- Gameblog.fr

Astro Bot is a VR platforming instant classic. In some ways, it is to virtual reality what Mario 64 was to 3D, as it uses a new technology to push new boundaries in the genre. We would have loved for it to have lasted a bit longer though.- Gameblog.fr

Hearts of Stone can be considered as a good way to meet Geralt again. This expansion drags us into a captivating story with fascinating characters. Even though its difficulty is far from perfectly set and some additions (runewords particularly) don't feel very useful, it's a pleasure to be able to ride with Geralt to some new locations and accomplish a few more new side quests.- Gameblog.fr

Alan Wake 2 is definitely one of the best games of the year as it ridicules the competition on many levels. It is the result of many years of experimentation. Remedy signs here an important episode for the history of the studio, its connected universe and for Alan. A meta game at all levels that will embark us on an adventure that takes to the guts. Story well tied, strong character, careful writing, it has it all.- Gameblog.fr

More comprehensive, more varied, better polished, Borderlands 2 still boasts the same strengths from three years ago, only enhanced. It's still a rather brutal FPS mixed with loot-whoring RPG, with a unique design and a super-violent, super-crazy world.- Gameblog.fr

This Definitive Edition transfigures Xenoblade Chronicles through a work both meticulous and respectful to the original. Some aesthetic, tone or even conceptual decisions may divide though, particularly along the additional chapter. Whether necessary or not, this extended conclusion proves interesting in many ways, above all for its deep sense. After the narrative dispersal and mechanics piles from the other episodes, this founding opus recalls the purest expression of Tetsuya Takahashi's saga, hence Monolith Software absolute accomplishment.- Gameblog.fr

Being in development for such a long time, Dead Cells avoids the trap and lives up to its expectations. Nevertheless, only those brave enough to face its strong difficulty will be able to discover a deep and generous adventure. Despite a certain level of repetitiveness, even though the randomly generated levels still are hand-driven, Dead Cells' offers a brilliant artistic direction and a great but discreet soundtrack.- Gameblog.fr

It's hard not to rant about Demon's Souls, while trying to figure out how it really works. Hard to put up with its intense difficulty, which can make you turn off the console and kill your desire to come back to the game for quite a while. Hard not to curse its incredibly unforgiving death penalties, its try-again-from-the-start philosophy, and punishing systems. But if you do, the gameplay finesse, subtle exploration vibe, well-thought customization system, and fulfilling power grinding proposed by its dark and enticing world are reason enough to dive back in and try to master the game. The online gameplay is brilliant and fresh, and all in all, if you can put up with the first few punishing hours and figure out how to work the game correctly, its multiple endings, old school vibe and memorable boss battles will reward you with this beloved feeling of being a real achiever. Thank you From Software, for this gift to hardcore gamers.- Gameblog.fr

Graphically, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of FF7 Remake sits closer to the PS5 than the PS4 Pro, despite having a lower resolution on paper, and it commands respect. With a few minor concessions, the game runs smoothly in almost every situation and never compromises in portable mode. Everything feels carefully crafted to let players enjoy Midgar both on the go and on the big screen. Too bad it's locked at 30 fps. Whether Square Enix can maintain this level of performance with FF7 Rebirth and its more demanding open world remains to be seen. For now, though, the Switch 2 version stands out as one of the most enjoyable and versatile ways to (re)experience the legend of this iconic JRPG.- Gameblog.fr

Brotherhood isn't trying to make easy money. One can surely grunt at the lack of mythology revelations and average story (but still unmissable for the fan) of the campaign, but its gameplay has been improved in almost every way. It's massive (at least 12 hours if you're not trying to get everything), and rich with a lot of new stuff, both small and big (starting with the assassin's guild mechanics). We'll see in the long run if its multiplayer will prove to have more strengths than weaknesses, but it's already, and unmistakably, one of the most refreshing experiences of late, with games that are an inspiration for ruse, cold-blood, and cunning.- Gameblog.fr
