It's almost impossible to overlook this third episode. Pushing the boundaries even further, the solo campaign is a satisfying conclusion to the story. In terms of multiplayer, it's obvious that Epic delivers the best episode yet, both in terms of fun and richness. Overall, it's more accessible, all the while keeping enough details for the hardcore to enjoy it, in solo play, co-op, or competitive play. For what more can one ask?

Inside is part of those games that can mark you for life. Walking in the footsteps of Limbo, it builds its own identity in a beautiful way and improve the formula in absolutely everything we had already fell in love with just a few years ago. A true masterpiece.

So deep, so well-written, so pleasant to watch, so funny and so dark, so clever, so free and replayable : for sure Disco Elysium is the kind of trip you will remember. One of the best RPGs ever made.

Neither a sequel nor a remake, A Link Between Worlds takes everything from the cult Super Nintendo Zelda game, but it does it in a beautiful way, with respect and fairness, offering a breathtaking adventure and ingenious dungeons. It doesn't exceed its model, but is still a must-have on 3DS.

Recreating Resident Evil 2 20 years later was no easy task but Capcom pulled it off. Resident Evil 2 was handled with love and care and it shows. 2019's Resident Evil 2 is a wonderful Survival Horror that is both terrifying and fun to play. Fans old and new will have a great time with the game. Our only, and minor, complaint is that we wish the remake added more new story content to the original storyline. But other than that, Capcom did the original game justice.

For a long time, Nintendo prioritised fun over technique. However, with the Nintendo Switch 2, the company has finally freed itself from the compromises it has had to make in the past. Donkey Kong Bananza is funny, beautiful and fluid in almost all circumstances. With its brilliant level design and freedom of approach, it constantly stimulates curious players, rewarding them at every turn. Its inventive challenges and mini-games offer a real challenge and will surprise you for hours. With Donkey Kong Bananza, the console shows that it has muscle, and this is indeed the first unmissable Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

In the same vein as recent PS5 exclusive ports, Nixxes delivers an excellent PC version of Death Stranding 2. Graphically and technically almost flawless, aside from a few minor glitches, enjoyable to play with both keyboard/mouse and controllers, especially the DualSense, and with some welcome additions via a free update, this is clearly the definitive version of Kojima Productions' latest BB. A port of this quality makes it all the more regrettable that Sony has apparently decided to stop adapting other single-player PS5 exclusives for PC in the future. This one, therefore, has a very unique flavour and, whether we like it or not, represents a beautiful swan song for this chapter of PlayStation history, which closes on the Beach.

Through Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games not only unearthed rough cornerstones of the past, but also polished them by modern standards. Then Plague of Shadows let brave alchemists experience a more elaborate, explosive formula, while Specter of Torment came back from the dead to sharpen both the gameplay and the narrative, a fantastic journey now gathered into this well-named Treasure Trove.

NB 2K12 is as generous as it is demanding, and it's unquestionably a game for passionate Basketball lovers, made by passionate basketball lovers. But with its astounding animations, the high fidelity of the greatest players reproduced in game (the older stars like the ones of today), its rich content, deep gameplay, atmosphere and fantastic sound work, 2K's sport game wows anyone. It's as clear as a lightning-fast pass from Magic Johnson, a Michael Jordan cross-over or 3-point shot from Larry Bird: NBA 2K12 is the best basket simulation ever published.

The fresh thrill of discovering an uninhabited atoll tends to fade once such wild life gets cosier with crafted items, buildings, shops and incoming residents, until it looks like a village from the previous iterations. But the larger size of this wholly reshapable island, the customization's vertiginous level and the improved community interactions create an even more fertile ecosystem, hence Animal Crossing can slowly though decidedly stare further, towards New Horizons, equipped with an ever updating NookPhone.

Shadowbringers is simply the best MMO extension ever made, period. The new world to discover is amazing, the story is amazing, the soundtrack is amazing and the updated battle system is amazing. We will only complain about one thing: please Square Enix, fix the way characters are animated during cut-scenes because it is painful to watch in 2019.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a huge blockbuster as excepted. A sequel that push all the previous limits of the franchise. It's beautiful, full of surprises and action-packed moments that will go down in history. The best Spider-Man outta there and a new reference for PS5 players.

As time goes by, our mind tends to embellish memories of particularly fond moments. That's why we shouldn't embark twice on a journey, hoping to relive the same experience, no matter how wonderful we might remember it because it's often disappointing. However, Wind Waker HD demonstrates the opposite. Not only does its remarkable visual style appear even more vibrant in high definition, but this remake smooths unnecessary digression away, while preserving the freedom and the contemplative aspirations created by this huge world. Therefore, it sets out a truly unforgettable odyssey, both fresh and timeless.

If you own a good PC and are a Tetris fan, you won't be disappointed by Tetris Effect. It's still what can be considered as the strongest installment in the series, thanks to its lavish visuals and unforgettable sound design and tracks. But, it can potentially be a lot more beautiful and overwhelming than on PS4, with a 4K screen or with a VR headset. You just can't miss this magnificent gem.

Like its PS5 Pro version, FF7 Rebirth PC allows you to combine Performance and Fidelity, and does so overall better than its console counterpart, at all levels. We can, however, regret the absence of AMD's FSR, Ray Tracing effects or Frame Generation, at least at its launch, as well as some small visual hiccups. The fact that the game is Steam Deck Verified is on the other hand a huge plus. If the compromises of the original PS5 put you off or if you were waiting for it to come out on PC to enjoy it in the best possible conditions, the latest game in Square Enix's flagship franchise is overall clearly worth the investment.

Team Cherry's Hollow Knight avoids all the traps of the Kickstarter project: with its strong artistic direction, the game offers a deep adventure, but only to those strong enough to get through the cryptic beginning of the game. If you feel like trying your best, Hollow Knight, will deliver memorable memories, thanks to its wonderful environments and very intelligent soundtrack. Too bad many players will quit before seeing it.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of the most beautiful games you will play this year. Every stage is a visual and artistic masterpiece, and Gareth Coker's brillant soundtrack is the most delicious cherry on the cake. Unfortunately, the game still suffers from technical flaws, which have yet to be definitely fixed.

It’s a must-do masterpiece if you’ve never had the time to try it before. This fully optimized version on PS5 is a feast for the eyes and ears. There is nothing to throw away, especially since in addition to being sublime, the game is incredible, we know that. For fans of the license, many bonuses (developer comments, deleted levels, etc.) are also included. The roguelike mode does the job very well, even if it is only playable solo. It will certainly kill you for a few extra hours if it is not really essential. But when the job is done very well, why sulk? The same will not be said of the mode which allows you to play the guitar freely, which will only appeal to serious enthusiasts. The Last of Us 2 Remastered is therefore unmissable if you have never touched the game, but if you own the original game on PS4, although it will only cost you around ten euros, it is difficult to recommend, except for early fans obviously.

You have but two options : wait for an indie to craft a modernized version, as rich and enticing as The King of Dragon Pass is, or overlook the dated production values of the original in order to enjoy it right here, right now. Sure, this Sim/RPG game isn't for the faint of heart... you need to be a potential king in order to survive it. But here's all the fun.

With the hugely popular Angry Birds, and the unique Sword and Sworcery, Jetpack Joyride forms up the tryptic of the smartphone/tablet typical must-have games. It's pure action, through a single move : touching the screen to control the Jetpack, and survive the randomly generated traps as long as possible. It's highly addictive, filled with nice bonuses to unlock and blessed with a very nice artistic touch, typically referencing the video game world... just grab it!

Blessed by its magnificent 2D, black and white visuals, Limbo immediately captures. But then, controller in hands, the player will quickly realize it also delivers major gameplay scenes. The journey may be a relatively short one (half a dozen hours top), but who cares : it's a unique, powerful one. You will forget reality and dive into an evanescent dream, deliciously tormented. Simple. Bewitching. Memorable. Thanks.

God of War Ragnarok follows its predecessor’s path for its PC port, offering players the best version of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. Of course the game takes advantage of the power of PCs and their exclusive technologies to push even further the visual quality, yet already impressive on PlayStation 5: native 4k, framerate unlocked, DLSS or FSR are particularly in the game to offer optimal performance for the vast majority of configurations.

AI, ideas, level design, character progression, everything beautifully supports the lasting fun of this contemporary adventure.

Brotherhood isn't trying to make easy money. One can surely grunt at the lack of mythology revelations and average story (but still unmissable for the fan) of the campaign, but its gameplay has been improved in almost every way. It's massive (at least 12 hours if you're not trying to get everything), and rich with a lot of new stuff, both small and big (starting with the assassin's guild mechanics). We'll see in the long run if its multiplayer will prove to have more strengths than weaknesses, but it's already, and unmistakably, one of the most refreshing experiences of late, with games that are an inspiration for ruse, cold-blood, and cunning.
