Gravel is a game that holds up, but which, like the races it offers, skids and slips often off-road. It will therefore satisfy the ones that likes this kind of games for fifteen hours to complete the Off Road Masters mode and probably a half dozen for completers who want all the stars and liveries. Its launch price price under the bar of 50 € can help to make a decision and remains finally very coherent with the proposed offer.- Gameblog.fr

Moss is undoubtedly one of the best PlayStation VR games available. This little tale is absolutely charming, from beginning to end, and it offers a both interesting and perfectly balanced gameplay. Too bad it ends so quickly, after 3 or 4 hours of play, with a frustrating "to be continued"... We had such a good time. This Metal Gear spin-off surprisingly sets itself between a hardcore survival and a 3D tower-defense game, which will hardly satisfy most gamers. If you survive the initial ruthless hours, you could realize Metal Gear Survive's true potential, delivering a long and tough survival experience. Unfortunately, Konami's greed for micro-transactions breaks the game's balance and is way too prominent to appear as a minor feature.- Gameblog.fr

We are not facing a bad game, but the frustration is great when thinking about the potential of the title. Some bugs ruins the experience and the feelings are uneven. By choosing to apply a 3D mask taken from any random mobile game on the 1993 original, Secret of Mana delivers a remake that will satisfy no one. Fe softly fulfills its promise of delivering a charming adventure with a strong visual design. The game manages too keep its good ideas fresh, thanks to a double-powered system served by an well executed open world. Beyond the obvious Minecraft inspiration, Dragon Quest Builders is based on a solid, subtly ironic narrative which creates not only reason for these building tasks, but also life into this 3D rendition of Alefgard. And it gets sharper on Nintendo Switch with the Great Sabrecub that literally cuts through the potentially more pixel arted Terra Incognita mode, even if such retro nostalgic additions can't counterbalance the limited sharing options and the lack of multi player, thus consolidating this fundamentally solitary experience as a whole.- Gameblog.fr

Railway Empire is a good management game, interesting, deep and complex. But it is clearly not for beginners despite its presence on PS4 and Xbox One. The tutorial is too frail and we often end up going around in circles before finding the solution which make a run extremely time-consuming and artificially long. The sooner the better? This may apply to Pokémon Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon in many ways. While fresh memories from the previous episodes help to notice the small, delicate differences, with clever twists aimed at Alola's returning vacationers, the main story transformations happen rather late. Similarly, the additions are mostly interesting, even captivating, but they often lack more development to display their full potential, and overall flaws were not really addressed, in particular tedious pace and inconsistent challenge. However, the generous amount of commemorative - not to say recycled - content suggests Game Freak tried to achieve some closure there, broken rules like the introduction of new species during this generation hinting that the series might seriously evolve in the future. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gets bolder in every direction, with a colorful character design backed by a caricatural tone to mask the gravity of the purpose underneath, a denser world deployed vertically, that literally breathes life through atmospheric compositions and folklore. Some ideas deserved more development, but most concepts are organically integrated, the versatile talents of the Blades sharpening the whole gameplay. It could have been a fun trivia game to play for a few sessions if it only had a good consideration of pace between rounds and had let us the choice to not use Power Plays to slow down our opponents... and the game.- Gameblog.fr

Skyrim on Switch is still an excellent RPG that has everything to keep you wandering in its vast open-world for a long time. And everywhere.- Gameblog.fr

If you didn't have the opportunity to play it since 2011, you can go for the Nintendo Switch version of L.A. Noire without fear as it's still a good adventure game with some great investigation and interrogating systems that have an impact on the way you solve cases, and an amazing atmosphere with some excellent acting. The port is true to the original game and has some issues, on TV and docked mode, but it doesn't prevent the game from being an immersive experience.- Gameblog.fr

Star Wars Battlefront II draws a line from the past of the license. Complete overhaul of the space combat system, disappearance of the walker mode, addition of classes, significant content at the launch, various objectives, addition of a solo campaign. Everything we have expected in the first one is finally here. Only the cash shop and the feeling of shooting (little bit spineless) are problems. Despite that we have in front of us a complete Star Wars game, especially with best the SW space combat since the X-Wing series.- Gameblog.fr

Football Manager 2018 does not revolutionize the series. It is still relying on the facts of its success and refine them with new tools. You never change a winning team as a manager would say. You just need to train it again and again to make it better.- Gameblog.fr

A few months after a terrific Sonic Mania, Sonic Team gives us a short, unchallenging game lacking in fresh ideas and unable to fix some issues from previous disappointing iterations. Don't hope to get magic of the first days back with Sonic Forces.- Gameblog.fr

If Nintendo Switch is not a PS4 or an Xbox One, DOOM succeeds, by making some sacrifices, to stay the almost same as it was on its initial release. Especially on TV, it feels like a downgraded experience but is definitely a great shooter that's worth it if you haven't played it or you feel the desire to kill demons wherever you go.- Gameblog.fr

Nothing unexpected in The Frozen Wilds. It adds a few pleasant features, a lot of cool characters, side-quests, content, challenges and things to collect to the recipe of a great game. As it's extending its universe well, we can say the job is done. And now we're waiting for the next chapter.- Gameblog.fr

Call of Duty WWII is a real success and the franchise's return to its roots can only be acclaimed. The campaign does justice to both the Second World War and D-Day. The multiplayer, while packed with good ideas, lacks the ambition seen and felt in the campaign. Call of Duty WWII offers the best CoD single player campaign seen in quite some time and multiplayer modes that are fun even if a bit underwhelming. Overall, it's mission accomplished for Sledgehammer.- Gameblog.fr

Beyond an assumed classicism, Etrian Odyssey V refocuses on the Yggdrasil labyrinth, adding space and depth to exploration. Hence this episode gives more relevance to each decision, each combat, which boldly asserts its mythical role playing heritage through such refined formula.- Gameblog.fr

By jumping aboard the Odyssey, Mario takes us on a trip where await nothing but discoveries and wonders all along. By gathering elements from every game of the franchise, Nintendo expand the classic gameplay with Cappy's possession. Diverse, intelligent, colorful and incredibly long and surprising, the free exploration will satisfy both curious and hardcore gamers. Super Mario Odyssey sanctifies a 30-year-old series that still amazes us episode after episode.- Gameblog.fr

If Assassin's Creed Origins is not perfect, it perfectly understood what it had to do to regain the hearts of the players and fans of the series. In addition to delivering the mysterious and fascinating ancient Egypt on a silver plate, in an absolutely gigantic open world, full of activities and secrets to discover, it succeeds in transforming its gameplay by brilliantly integrating RPG elements and completely renewing, with no less talent, its combat system. It will literally absorbs you for dozens and dozens of hours. Assassin's Creed Origins succeeds in taking care of its fans and its fundamentals, while starting its own revolution. We can only hope that the subsequent episodes will keep this momentum.- Gameblog.fr

AER is trying so hard to look like those beloved games from which it is being inspired, but fails to do so. The game is filled with bugs and does not tell us an interesting story all along. Even though some aerial moments are quite a delight, the total lack of wind is incomprehensible, as is the rest of the gameplay. Why would you want to play this? We are still looking for an answer.- Gameblog.fr

Even if WWE 2K18 keeps on using the same old engine its predecessors used, the developers clearly improved the game's overall visual presentation. The new MyCareer mode and the Promo Engine 2.0 also add welcomed improvements. WWE 2K18 isn't the brand new game wrestling fans have been asking for years but it offers more than enough to have fun.- Gameblog.fr
