This is a simple effort that is very easy to get into and to adopt. Unfortunately it's also too simple for its own good, with a visual environment that does not look better than many of the games it's based on and a lack of balance between characters that does not motivate the players to explore their features.- FNintendo

Wanderjahr TryAgainOrWalkAway is based on the JRPG style and adds a large combat component to it, bringing along a strategic component, a fun and simple adventure and a commendable soundtrack. Not everything hits the right spot, though, as the controls are in need of a reshape, the game's plot has no sense of direction and it often feels more like the kind of game to play on a phone or on a tablet than on a gaming console.- FNintendo

Musicverse: Electronic Keyboard manages to recreate the basic functions of the instrument that its name indicates and allows the players to easily share their creations with others, but it stops short of being an ambitious application. While beginners will enjoy the guidance and their first steps in creating melodies, more advanced users will find this a superficial and limited effort, aggravated by the limitations of the 3DS as a platform for a title of this style.- FNintendo

Detective Gallo brings a point and click adventure to the Nintendo Switch, an unusual contribution to the system's catalogue and one which features a welcome work of voice acting and some interesting character interactions and plot. The game doesn't fully stand out, as its control system is rather problematic on the Nintendo Switch and several of its puzzles don't really make much sense. Detective Gallo is thus not a first choice option.- FNintendo

The Princess Guide may have creative and ambitious concepts and ideas and there's no doubt that it has several good aspects in its favour. Unfortunately the game also reveals some flaws when it comes to putting its ideas into place and the result is something that feels rather confusing, without a proper explanation of how the gameplay mechanics work, and with a too repetitive combat system.- FNintendo

Thanks to its extremely direct control system, anyone can pick it up and play it. The problem is, the game is too simple for its own good and quickly enough, it becomes too repetitive, forcing the players to manage their time more wisely lest they end up getting tired of it.- FNintendo

While its challenges are indeed interesting and its learning curve is well designed, Neverout loses in the format aspect, as well as when it comes to the repetitiveness of its art style and soundtrack.- FNintendo

RemiLore is a simple effort and there's nothing wrong with that per se - the game features a good looking visual environment and some interesting ideas, the problem is putting them into practice without forcing the player into an experience that feels dull and repetitive...and that's exactly what ends up happening, as RemiLore does not have the assets to deliver an involving experience.- FNintendo

Space Hulk is presented as a videogame version of the board game that carries the same name, which is both a blessing and a curse. If its campaign mode can offer a long experience and the Wii U's GamePad is adequately used to interact with the game, its shallow gameplay does not captivate those looking for a good strategy game.- FNintendo

While its visual environment is original and competent, the game has little originality and a rather short lifespan. If its simplicity is a welcome trait when played on a mobile device, on a console the standards are higher and Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition does not rise up to that challenge.- FNintendo

Petit Novel Series: Harvest December may be aiming towards the Visual Novel genre but its lack of interactivity and consequent zero input from the player makes it not much more than an ebook. Its design is not compelling either, with a scarce amount of images that would keep the player interested and other than a long plot, it has no other assets that could captivate any player expecting a minimum amount of gameplay.- FNintendo

There are good ideas behind Shadow of Loot Box and it's certainly something to praise that the game intends to lampoon some contemporary game conventions which are far from gathering a unanimous appeal. Unfortunately this idea is poorly implemented and this FPS with RPG elements turns out to be a game that is way too simplistic and affected by faulty controls. Beyond a promising first level, Shadow of Loot Box quickly comes down and ends up losing its main selling points.- FNintendo

Without anything remarkable to offer in the four fields that it touches upon - action, adventure, puzzle and arcade - this is best used as a basis to learn about how to make videogames, as the insights on game design found along the way are more entertaining than any other component the game offers.- FNintendo

Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey ends up not rising above the waterline, as its fun factor is too short-lived and its gameplay quickly becomes too repetitive. The proliferation of similar titles on the World Wide Web, where games about looking for objects are very common, makes Hidden Odyssey a passable title, only recommended to those who are enthusiastic about staring at aquaria.- FNintendo

Sweetest Thing is clearly a game designed for the mobile market which unfortunately did not receive a proper conversion treatment when ported to the Wii U. As such, there are several gameplay aspects which, as adequate as they may be for a mobile system, just do not fit in with the Wii U, beyond its short lifespan and repetitive nature.- FNintendo

RIOT - Civil Unrest features a rather original premise that pits the player in civil strife scenes based off real world events and it does a decent job at that, especially as it allows the player to play both as the rioters and as the forces of order. Unfortunately the game suffers from too many unnecessary problems, including (crucially) issues with its control system and the lack of a tutorial doesn't help. The promise of future updates, on the other hand, is a plus.- FNintendo

Being too slow during the combats and lacking any depth in its mechanics, ACORN Tactics is lacking on elements that players take for granted in tactical and strategic games and overall, this game does not amount to a fun experience.- FNintendo

Astro Bears Party is not a very ambitious game and it could perfectly fit within a bigger production. It still manages to bring some fun to a multiplayer session for a very short amount of time before falling into an overwhelming feeling of monotony, mostly due to its lack of content.- FNintendo

Castle of Heart may seem appealing when looking at its still pictures but once the game starts moving, a more unpleasant reality kicks in: it's hard to control, the difficulty level is forced and at the same time, unchallenging and the game suffers from several design flaws that make this experience really difficult to enjoy. While its visuals are decent, this is not an enjoyable game to play.- FNintendo

Shadows 2: Perfidia tries to create an atmosphere of horror but the result is only a half-success: if the soundscape does a good job, the visual landscape is far from that and it turns out to be uglier than it is scary. It's not a remarkable feast of gameplay either, very simplistic but with a well implemented sanity mechanic. Shadows 2: Perfidia is not something that will raise the hair on everyone's neck but for those who are interested in a decent work of a horror-themed audio environment and a good use of a sanity mechanic, it can be a fun purchase.- FNintendo

Fantasy Hero ~unsigned legacy~ tries to contribute to the RPG segment of the Nintendo Switch catalog and it features some interesting elements of progression but overall, its action gets repetitive and dull too quickly early on. The game's visuals and sound also betray its age, meaning that it's not in a position to provide a pleasant audiovisual experience either, which only gets aggravated by several flaws that should have been corrected.- FNintendo

There are few reasons why a game that is available on the mobile market and also available for free on a Flash format should be released as a paying game for the 3DS. Other than players with a very keen interest in poker and who are not familiar with the other versions of this game, very few will find it appealing.- FNintendo

Tangram Style has no ambition and it shows. An overall dull and technically flawed experience, which will wear out the players’ patience and which does not in any way maximize the game’s potential lifespan derived from its very high number of puzzles, Tangram Style is only to be considered by those specifically looking for something like this.- FNintendo

A strategy game without much strategy to speak of cannot make it far. This is the case of European Conqueror 3D, which intends to bring the player to the war theatres of World War II, but rather ends up becoming an extremely dull war of its own between the players and their patience to put up with the extremely slow pace of play and stale audiovisual environments.- FNintendo
