Tengami brings forth the ever-more present question of where does art end and the game begin, or vice-versa. A stunning looking graphical environment and an involving soundtrack do not make up for a slow and dull pace, a very limited gameplay and the lack of experience for the player.- FNintendo

Mercenaries Wings: The False Phoenix falls into an ungrateful position. While there is nothing particularly bad about this game, it never manages to go so far as to stand out amidst its peers. Despite its good-looking artwork, this is a mostly generic effort when it comes to plot and dialogues and with a gameplay that has too many clichés and which does not add an in-depth dimension to the experience.- FNintendo

Ninja Usagimaru: The Mysterious Karakuri Castle sets up high expectations with its rich audiovisual environment and apparent enormous amount of content to explore, but its extremely demanding difficulty curve and poorly executed controls will send many players in a path of frustration that will not leave them longing for the puzzles where the eponymous ninja rescues the villagers.- FNintendo

FullBlast is a 2D shoot'em up that treads along some of the traditional clichés of the genre without taking any risks to go further or to stand above its peers. Similar enemy patterns, repetitive behaviour, plain visuals, FullBlast can deliver a fluid gameplay experience but not a varied, original one, with a small redemption coming from its local multiplayer element.- FNintendo

Henry the Hamster is a long and challenging game, which thanks to its effective control system and mitigating circumstances that prevent the feeling of repetitiveness ends up scoring well in the entertainment scale. Alas it's affected by an audio environment which needed some work, particularly as the sound is so important to let the player know how to act.- FNintendo

Heroes Trials draws heavily from some of the most iconic adventure game classics but despite its rather innovative plot and open world exploration, it doesn't really bring anything new to the panorama. Add to that a certain lack of challenge, an uninspired art style and a sub-par level design and the result is a passable effort that doesn't stand out in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.- FNintendo

AeternoBlade gets several points of the videogames textbook right but it doesn't go beyond that, almost as if the skeleton was enough to give a soul to a body. While technically competent, though far from impressive, this game offers very little to those already familiar with both action games and RPGs. Add to that a painstaking navigation through the off-play menus, and here's the formula for an overwhelmingly disappointing and frustrating experience.- FNintendo

While Discovery boasts an enormous map and plenty of available resources, it suffers from a lack of originality and pales next to Minecraft. The game is also affected by several technical flaws and the lack of an online mode makes it less appealing, despite a competent local co-op multiplayer and an overall good presentation.- FNintendo

From a game with this ambition, it's expected that the plot will be engaging and interesting but that's not the case with SELF. Rather, its soundtrack stands out the most and it's well worth listening to. Overall, SELF is a strange experience, one that may be worth a try but for which expectations shouldn't be too high.- FNintendo

The rollercoaster genre hasn't stood out in the last 9 years and it's not Coaster Creator 3D that will change the way things are looking. While the roller coaster editor is very varied and ambitious, the game is not properly constructed and all its (older) PC counterparts are still more attractive options for anyone looking to build and ride roller coasters.- FNintendo

Dementium Remastered has all the technical qualities to be a good remake...except being an outstanding game. While the visual and audio environments are competent and well implemented, the game loses most of its appeal compared to the original and ends up as a generic title that brings nothing significant to the 3DS library.- FNintendo

Monopoly for Nintendo Switch is an accurate representation of the famous board game and this version can be played either by just one or up to six players and even if it doesn't add anything new to the formula, it can still be make for an interesting time. Unfortunately an unexplainable error leads to enormous loading times which seriously harm the experience and for which there is no excuse on a game with this price.- FNintendo

Ritual: Crown of Horns is a twin stick shoot'em up with a zany plot, a decent gameplay mechanic and an exceedingly high difficulty level that will often have players trying over again and again. The frantic action pace somehow mitigates the game's sense of repetitiveness but a better looking visual environment would be very welcome in a production that is more likely to appeal to longtime fans of shoot'em ups than to the greater public.- FNintendo

Timber Tennis: Versus is not a tennis simulator to be taken seriously, instead it's a simple game of simple mechanics and with a simple price tag, where the little fun that is on offer is quickly overtaken by the shallow gameplay and dearth of content, not to mention the absence of other players in its online component.- FNintendo

99Moves offers a moderately appealing concept but it is overall lacking on content, even for a title of its price. This is aggravated by a graphical environment that is too simplistic and an annoying soundtrack, which don’t really help with a game that is already too limited in its experience.- FNintendo

If it does a good job at delivering a credible MSX experience, Bitlogic also falls behind when it comes to its low ambition, a concept that will hardly catch the attention of most players and a short longevity. While it's a good option for those who want to (re)live the days of the MSX, it's not a game made for a wider audience.- FNintendo

Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir does a good job at capturing the classic spirit and humour of the comic book series, thanks to its fun dialogues and well polished visual environment, adding to that a marvelous vocal work. Where The Crystal Menhir does not live up to the highest standards is when it comes to its repetitive structure and mechanics, its drab plot and too simplistic gameplay. For players looking for a simple brawler and puzzler experience with the visual environment of the series, The Crystal Menhir is a good option, but for anyone looking for a more in-depth game, it's better to look elsewhere.- FNintendo

Runbow Pocket for the New 3DS is certainly full of content and its levels are fun and compelling, like they were on the Wii U original. Where Runbow Pocket doesn't stand out is when it comes to comparing itself to the original game, as this handheld version doesn't offer any major incentives to the players and the lack of a local multiplayer mode is very difficult to understand.- FNintendo

Seal the Deal does not revolutionize A Hat in Time and as a DLC, it's very short and its additional difficulty level doesn't always feel like it improves the experience. On the other hand, this DLC can be seen as a gift for Nintendo Switch players who so patiently waited for it, so on that note Seal the Deal is a welcome addition and should not be judged too harshly.- FNintendo

Suffering from technical gaps, imprecise controls and a predictable and clichéd plot, Rodea still manages to display an interesting concept and gives the player a degree of freedom that is unusual in similar titles. Pity that its qualities don’t weigh enough to redeem its flaws.- FNintendo

With a 1990s environment and some attempts at innovating an RPG's fighting system, YIIK has something to go for it, but unfortunately this gets rather lost in a game that is overall too frustrating and confusing. With its inconsistent art style and gameplay and a main character that's impossible to relate to, YIIK could have explored its real potential in a much more enjoyable way but as it is, it's mostly an unfulfilled work.- FNintendo

In single-player mode, Shadow Puppeteer is a much weaker game, technical issues and control problems become more evident and it's not challenging enough to justify a new go. Despite being based on several good ideas, Shadow Puppeteer performs way below its potential.- FNintendo

Homo Machina is a game with a very fun concept and an attractive art style that will put the player working on some interesting puzzles, before its short lifespan comes into view. The way it was converted to the Nintendo Switch also made Homo Machina a peculiar game to control and which loses a lot when played on a television screen. This is a game that would benefit a lot more from a longer lifespan and improved controls.- FNintendo

Swap This! is an entertaining, simple and addictive puzzle game that fits the Nintendo Switch nicely enough for some short gaming sessions. It fares less well when played on a television screen and feels rather repetitive on the short-term but for what it is, Swap This! does not fail in its goal.- FNintendo

RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures brings to the Nintendo Switch one of the most iconic gaming series, originally developed for the PC and which has found its way into nearly every platform out there. While the main essence of the series is here to be found and developing theme parks is fun and engaging, this adaptation is mired by technical issues which should have been corrected and being based on the mobile version means the experience feels oversimplified, the Nintendo Switch deserved more than this.- FNintendo

Momonga Pinball Adventures offers something different and unique mechanics compared to other games of the kind. Its simple and effective gameplay mean that the player can get into it immediately but at the same time, it clearly does not go beyond the limits of a game designed for the mobile devices market.- FNintendo

It's certainly a fun effort, full of details that will pull a laugh off players' faces and its mechanics simple enough to learn quickly, but it might be too long for some and runs the risk of becoming somewhat repetitive in the long term.- FNintendo

Black The Fall is an entertaining action game with puzzle solving that features a gloomy, somber background as the player has to escape an oppressive regime. While its puzzles and art style are to praise, the game feels too repetitive at times and its lifespan can get too short, not to mention that the lack of music harms the overall environment.- FNintendo
