Guess the Word on the Nintendo Switch has been adapted from the mobile market and even though it presents itself as an educational game, its value as such a work is very limited. Short in content, with only one gaming mode and lacking in the very element it bases itself on, Guess the Word does not fulfill any of its objectives and will feel too limited and too short for everyone, including its target audience.- FNintendo

Glory of Generals: The Pacific tries to go as far as possible to recreate a boardgame environment in a turn-based strategy game but the battles quickly become uninspired, extremely long, incoherent and unappealing to any but the most hardcore fan of strategy games. While there is a lot of content, it lacks depth and does not compel the player to go further.- FNintendo

Sssnakes tries to bring back the experience of the game that was popularized sixteen years ago in Nokia mobile phones and while the intention is laudable, its execution and implementation end up falling very short of what's expected. Unresponsive controls and an exaggerated difficulty level, along with a sub-par presentation and a lack of content trump over a low price tag and the good ideas introduced in some of the levels.- FNintendo

AeternoBlade II for the Nintendo Switch has some good ideas and its RPG-like elements do give the game some appeal. That said, the execution is rather poor and its combat quickly becomes frustrating. Adding to that, its mediocre art style, technical issues and exceedingly long loading times make this a rather botched experience that becomes difficult to recommend.- FNintendo

A beat’em up in the style of what was done in the early 90s but which is not fluid at all, has a faulty and dull gameplay and overall is simply not fun does not carve its own space in the Wii U’s online lineup.- FNintendo

Mad Carnage is simple enough to get into, which by itself is positive. Thanks to its cartoon art style and lack of technical issues, the game's first impressions are overall positive but unfortunately, this does not stand for too long, as the levels quickly feel repetitive and the gameplay mechanics end up being too simple for its own good, resulting in a game that is more dull than it should be.- FNintendo

The game falls short, however, when it comes to its gameplay experience, not only due to performance problems but especially because the gameplay experience feels disconnected from the player and a constricting interaction with the game contributes to make this experience one without much enthusiasm.- FNintendo

While its gameplay is obviously based on the games that inspired it, Alphadia does not provide anything groundbreaking which could set it apart from other games of the genre and the lack of development of the characters or of any other of its elements condemn it to being a rather shallow effort which would greatly benefit from one or two new gameplay mechanics.- FNintendo

Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers presents itself as a JRPG with time traveling mechanics and there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is it doesn't fulfill any of its promises and other than a very enjoyable soundtrack, Tick Tock Travelers has very little going for it, as its poor visuals and plot demonstrate and very unhelpful gameplay mechanics further attest.- FNintendo

Reaper: Tale of a Pale Swordsman for the Nintendo Switch doesn't quite feel like it fits in this format - indeed, this is a game that was originally made for mobile devices and the short, brief nature of its gameplay doesn't hide that nature. This doesn't mean the experience is bad per se, the gameplay is simple and intuitive and those looking for quick game rounds will find something minimally satisfying but there's very little here that goes beyond a very shallow depth and there are much more involving and fun alternatives out there.- FNintendo

Midnight Deluxe brings with it a competent visual environment and decent control systems for a game with a rather unusual premise. Beyond that, the experience quickly loses appeal, as the difficulty level feels forced, the game becomes repetitive on a short-term basis and does not motivate the player to go further.- FNintendo

Snow Moto Racing Freedom may not have much competition on the Nintendo Switch catalogue but that doesn't make it a groundbreaking game alone. Due to its unrefined gameplay and visible technical issues, this is not a game that will please everyone.- FNintendo

Warlocks 2: God Slayers starts off with good intentions and it features interesting, funny dialogues as well as an appealing visual environment and fluid animation. Sadly this is not enough to redeem it from its flaws and shortcomings, the most major of which a control system which quickly becomes cumbersome even for the simplest actions and which is unchangeable, as well as several gameplay problems that end up harming this game more than it would be acceptable.- FNintendo

Canvaleon could be an example of a fine idea and concept which suffer from its implementation. Its platforming mechanics and controls are very well executed but the cumbersome details which impose endless grinding and the need for drawing skills beyond what is expected in the videogaming medium make this a work that is very difficult to enjoy, not to mention redundant.- FNintendo

Blasting Agent makes sense in its original format and environment but when converting it to the Wii U, the result is too problematic - not just due to its technical issues and unstable framerate but especially due to incoherent level design and the overall feeling that this conversion adds nothing to what already existed.- FNintendo

Hover may feature an interesting art style and concept but the overall gameplay experience is a major disappointment. Due to its disengaging mechanics, regular framerate problems, maladjusted camera angles and overall feeling of repetitiveness, Hover ends up falling short of its major objectives.- FNintendo

Epic Dumpster Bear is competent at providing a hilarious, long-lasting and varied platforming experience that doesn't take itself too seriously. Beyond that, it's a rather standard game that doesn't rely on anything else, certainly not on its simple visual and audio atmosphere. While players looking for a funny platformer will be entertained, those who crave a more in depth and technically gratifying experience will look elsewhere.- FNintendo

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle has decent Arcade and Score Attack modes and the idea of playing the same plot with different characters is worthy of praise but the fights quickly become repetitive and dull, its audiovisual component is a throwback to fifteen years ago and overall, the game just feels uninspired.- FNintendo

With plenty of characters, customization options and simple controls, the game is easy to get into but alas, the feeling of repetitiveness settles in too quickly and this Nintendo Switch conversion does not do a brilliant job when it comes to handheld experiences. Furthermore, its online component is very sparsely populated due to the lack of cross-platform functionalities and the price/quality relation tends to fall towards the negative side.- FNintendo

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is a conversion of a game that originally came out nineteen years ago and while the Oddworld series is undoubtedly an outstanding example in platform games, this conversion work falls way behind expectations. With few elements that will appeal to contemporary players, this will almost exclusively look interesting for fans of the original and brings little to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.- FNintendo

Warplanes: WW2 Dogfight represents a genre that is mostly absent on the Nintendo Switch and it does a decent job at providing the player with a wide choice of airplanes and missions. The problem is that its gameplay is simply too clunky and uninspiring, which coupled with its very lacklustre visuals and almost non-existing sound component make this an overall very disappointing effort that will not do any good for aerial combat games on the Nintendo Switch.- FNintendo

All the potential of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures gets lost in an uninteresting mix of frustrating gameplay mechanics, camera failures and a short lifespan. Pity the iconic Namco character, who finds himself in an uninspired experience, surrounded by more captivating offers in the platforms genre.- FNintendo

If at its core, the game itself remains good - it is, after all, the same as FIFA 19 - the product being sold under this name is simply not what EA should be presenting to its consumers. While updated squads and jerseys fit perfectly with the idea of a regular update to a football simulation, charging a full game's price for nothing but an update is simply unacceptable.- FNintendo

The Deer God starts off on an interesting note and features a visual style that catches the players' eyes but unfortunately, it does not capitalize on its assets and quickly becomes an uninteresting, unappealing and repetitive game that could have been much more compelling, had its best elements been fully explored.- FNintendo

Last Encounter joins the ranks of roguelike games on the Nintendo Switch and as a twin-stick shooter, it does a good job at presenting ideas regarding the ship's upgrading and an approach to combat that forces the player to think carefully. Unfortunately not all goes well, and the weight of the difficulty and limits to upgrades will erect a wall that becomes difficult to overcome. Dedicated roguelike fans will find it more bearable but the wider audience will quickly lose motivation.- FNintendo

If Pantsu Hunter: Back to the 90s has its heart on the right place when it comes to delivering an experience that is strong on the nostalgia factor, the gameplay is anything but captivating. With rather dull puzzles, a somewhat poor structure and overall uninteresting elements, this point n'click adventure ends up becoming more of a disappointment rather than an engaging work.- FNintendo

Refunct has its advantages, it certainly helps the player relax and provides for a nice experience. Unfortunately Refunct is limited in what it gives the players: it is too short, too simple and its mechanics too limited for Refunct to be a truly enjoyable game. If Refunct made a greater effort at being a longer, more in-depth experience, it could be a recommended work.- FNintendo

Unfortunately it doesn't do a successful job at presenting a memorable game, as its control is far from effective, its AI is often too aggressive and the game betrays its origins as something designed for mobile devices, rather than for gaming consoles.- FNintendo
